    Lyrics:
    Thunder!
    You made us!
Your mental state, afraid of mystic ways
No matter how hard you try, you're bitter all the time
The light we follow, our time is on!
We must let go of the weight pulling us down
    Realize you're not alone
They'll love you like a god
    Get out there, you belong
    Now!
    Our time is now!
    To conquer!
    Our time is now!
    Or never!
    Thunder!
    You raised us!
We've been deceived, today the world is blind
We've lost our sight to the bottom of the sea
No way! Our back to the wall
We'll change the rules, disobey the mentor
    Realize you're not alone
They'll love you like a god
    Get out there, you belong
    Now!
    Our time is now!
    To conquer!
    Our time is now!
    Forever!
    Go!
    Realize you're not alone
They love you like a god
Get out and seize the day
    Wow!

This is a HEAVY fucking song.. if I played it for some of my friends who don’t listen to metal, it might be the heaviest thing they’ve ever heard.
BUT. This is pretty tame for Gojira. Check out Ouroboros live at Eurockeennes 2009 for incredible energy. Check out The Gift of Guilt live at Brixton 2013 for melodic + heavy + nearly perfect vocals. Check out In the Wilderness (studio) for a long Gojira crusher.
Other people will recommend other songs, and other live shows, and they’ll all be right too.

This song is a banger hehe. Another song I recommend from them is: the way of all flesh live in bordeaux or ororborus live eurockeenes

This band was really a revelation for me, and they definitely got me into metal. Some people think it's a pity that they are less extreme than before, but personally, I really like their evolution and their maturity.
I suggest you one of their songs on which there was not much reaction, Of Blood And Salt (feat. Devin Townsend), you won't be disappointed ;)

I think OUR TIME IS NOW could be much appreciated worldwide if the radio stations would play it up and down. 🙏🏼 Gojira would deserve it so much as they're an amazing band with unique style and incredible handsome looking band members btw (had to say that 😅).

I don't see how it wouldn't or couldn't be played on the radio. That would be an awesome thing to witness because you are right the exposure! Hani You're simping right now lol I love it speak your truth!

I recommend listening to Gojira in reverse album chronological order.
This way you go from a more "Soft" but polished sound to a more heavy and raw sound.
But you can't go wrong with anything in their discography.

Motivational is a good description I think ;) Gojira is a very engaged band, especially on environmental issues, I think you'll find those themes in most of their music and lyrics. Awesome band, great song, excellent reaction, can't wait for more! ^^

Gojira fans also love Tool. Listen to their newest album 'Fear Inoculum'. Start with the first track and listen all the way through 😍

I also like very much the energy Gojira spread through their music, it feels like exorcism listening to them high volume.

this song is very very radio friendly ,Gojira they are older , they do more melodic stuff and less hardcore technical songs like in the past , second time ever there is a solo in a Gojira's song , Now check the heaviest matter of the universe to hear what Gojira was all about !

One of the heaviest and most energetic intro's I ever witnessed: the live rendition at Vieilles Charrues!! A blistering performance......

@@wjl2601 the live at vieilles charrues is great but i prefer some other versions , garorock 2009 , brixton academy , hellfest 2013, because i find the video recording of the vieilles charrues one very compressed

Always thought that maybe Gojira can be the real deal for you, the straight forward chunkyness but also the beautiful, innovative rithmic lines and structures are awesome. This song is just the tip of the iceberg and a bit different than usual. It is not so heavy as their earlier stuff. The guitarsolo for instance is an unicum in their work. Maybe it is time for a live one: The Gift of Guilt (Brixton acadamy) Oroburus (Eurokeennes), Explosia (Brixton), Vacuity (Vieilles Charrues) Backbone(Vieilles), The Axe (Brixton), Remembrance (the link), etcetera, etcetera.....It is all fire,..either way succes and have fun.

This sounds like NHL asked them to make a track that sounds like Fortitude which is their newest album. Not the greatest Gojira track but not terrible either. Art of Dying is the best thing they have put out IMO.

Here's my go to list of Gojira tracks that I recommend new listeners or reactors should listen to - but trust me when I say you can't go wrong. They're great live but some vids have poor sound quality, so only go on recommendations. Enjoy your Gojira journey!

4th album: The way of all flesh
    - Toxic Garbage Island
    - The art of dying (legendary track)

@@Killermcknight your welcome - always hard to pick a track as there's always arguments to choose another, but they're all great (note they have 1 or 2 instrumentals per album that serve as transitions between tracks so although they're fantastic they just sit better on an album listen).
Their 1st 2 albums were very death metal inspired, raw & heavy.
Their 3rd & 4th are the transition from heavy energy to heavy technical (& in my opinion best 2 albums), guitars start to match the drumming prowess, magic happens. 5th is technically great(est) but starting to care more for the sonic quality & finesse. 6th is emotional & reflective, less heavy & more accessible. 7th is much more crafted & uplifting, fantastic live experience, but less heavy - really grows on you.
Overall its a journey that sees them really craft their talents - they're a generational band. Keep going with them, they're worth it.
Recommend Flying Whales next, get the signature track out the way (it's about astroprojection).
