I could zoom in anywhere and find a staggering about of detail in every shot, amazing high quality work
Thanks so much, thats what I try to aim for! :)
I’ve seen a lot of cycles renders, and this quality is really top notch. Congrats! And thanks :)
Thanks so much! Means a lot:)
Your post processing skill in Photoshop increases the beauty of render from 100% to 200% awesome tutorial bro ❤❤❤
Thanks so much! Glad you like it :)
Amazing dynamic in the artwork!
thanks so much!
This looks like an actual ad for porsche or something. Incredibly remarkable stuff here man
Porsche?
Sir this is a mercedes
This is awesome, blender goals right here!!
Thanks so much!
You do great work, I’m really impressed.
I use C4D, and so wish I’d got on board the blender wagon back in the day, as it’s clearly an awesome programme now, and cheaper than C4D too 😢
Looking forward to seeing the work you do next 👌
Thanks so much, means a lot!
Hello, I have seen your work on behance before. Thank you very much for your answer to the question.
thanks so much!
this is awesome work, but the whole time you were showing the work in photoshop I was thinking how hard it would be to do this for a moving shot. I work in Nuke most of the time and probably some of it would be possible with position pass or cryptomattes, but probably would need a lot of tracking too. Anyway great job man!
Thanks man! I’d definitely do a bit more simulation if it were to be an animation. I’m currently working on one and started using nuke over fusion so maybe stay tuned to how I do that! :)
Really nice work, i really like how you have broken down all your workings and process and testing to get to your final result
Thanks so much!
Hi Ethan! Great breakdown. Nice to see different types of workflows. Often times my scene is not optimized enough and way too heavy! :p
Hey Kevin! Thanks so much🙌🏻 we try our best hahah
looks dope af. thanks for breaking down your process!
Thanks man! No probs
Incredible level of detail. you're work is of a much higher quality than a lot of channels with over 100k subs.
Means a lot! Thanks so much
Amazing bro, i wish i could do renders like that, my renders turn out looking like cartoony cars, your turn around like a pixar movie, dangg.
haah believe me most of mine do, takes ages to get it looking like this. Thanks man
Awesome! Thank you for sharing❤
my pleasure!
Perfect, Thank you!
Thanks!
great job
thanks man!
Good work i am starting to learn blender better now that i got older and i just love trying to mess around on my own and then looking on youtube for tips thats the best way to learn i dont just want to follow totourials blindly because then i am not thinking just copying
Best of luck :)
Very good job!!! Amazing! Inspires me to do new projects)))
Thanks! Best of luck with your works :)
just beautiful work and thanks for sharing with us.... cant appreciate it enough ... thanks man.. #goals
Thank You
incredible work dude!
Thanks so much!
This is really mad, fantastic job!
Thanks so much dude!
perfect work! Looks wery nice
Thanks!
amazing, man......really helpful your content.
Thanks so much!
Can you please provide the high quality image? I want it for the desktop wallpaper. Amazing work man.
I'm selling digital prints, drop me a DM on insta and can let you know where to get it :)
Brilliant work!
Thanks so much!
Finally, i've been waiting for this since i ask for this tutorial through DM
No probs 🙌🏻
cool stuff! keep going🚀
Thanks!
Beautiful work as always, I enjoyed watching it ✨👌🏻
Thank you yazeed 🙌🏻
amazing job!! You are really skillful
duddde, you just nailed it⚡⚡
thanks bro!
this goes so hard
Thanks bro 🤙🏻
I know that you probably already know about this but using instances can help in protecting you from crashing especially with trees
insane
thanks dude!
Great work !!! 😍👍
Thanks so much!
Wow great job
Thanks!
Amazing work Ethan
thanks dude!
wow what an impressive render but more impressive that this dude opened a blende file inside google maps.
Wow, could you make more detaild photoshop tutorials to improve the renders like you did
Thank you so much
In the future for sure!
this is gold
Thanks!
this video is as practical as some effects in oppenheimer and Top gun maverick
Is that good? haha
Amazing work! Got some inspiration for my work! I'm really interested what trees you used? And was the lightning all just an HDRI, right? Thanks!
Thanks so much dude, I couldn’t find the trees anywhere :/ But I use some from botanical now, it’s an add on from blender market - there’s some on sketchfab I’ve seen too! As for the HDRI it’s a simple HDRI but I sucked all the saturation out to just keep the luminosity values! Any questions fire way, either here or dm on insta 🙌🏻
Love the result Ethan! One question, how did you go about doing that motion blur? Did you animate the camera and wheels spinning? Is the main camera actually moving?
Hey man! Thanks for the comment, the camera is attached to the car, whilst the car is moving and the wheels are also moving :)
god
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH
how about the movemebnt sensation? is the scene static and you added the motion blur in some way, or we are seeing a frame of an animation, so the camera and car are animated and moving? I add to do something like this on an animation and it caused me troubles to try to convey the idea of fast movement (the normal motion blur wasn’t enough and I was also guessing the speed of my subject and I was unable to export a vector pass to add motion blur in compositing)
Hey dude, the car is moving and the camera is attached. I rendered a frame that was in between the start and end and set my motion blur to something like 0.8 so it was kinda like a long exposure sort of deal! Remember you can go above 1 in the motion blur settings :)
A step by step would be highly appreciated. Btw amazing work, just gained a sub.
Definitely something I’ll do in the future! Thanks for the sub 🙌🏻
This is crazy, But I have a little observation the road look little bit glossy.
thanks dude! It is wet :)
at 0:49 i thought he was British cause i heard butter 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I used to work with element 3d, c4d but am trying to shift to blender, how hard is it as a beginner to work with cars, roads and animations
This might be a very basic question... how did you achieve motion blur in the shot? Did you animate the car and the camera going forward or did you animate everything else going backward? Also did you use the compositor for motion blur or is it from the actual scene? Absolutely stunning render btw!
The car is moving forward with the camera attached and I just picked a frame between the start and end and rendered. It was all in the render not post :) thanks dude!
Impressive. Very nice. Can you do a shot involving a pile of kittens cuddling?
Que? :D
May I ask if your ground was modeled through 3D scanning on your phone, or was it manually modeled in Bender
Hey! The road, was modelled as thats just a flat plane, the side areas where the grass is, I got from megascans :) quixel.com/megascans
Great work! The one thing that immediately catches my eye as fake is the number plate, it looks like you took it straight from "The Last of Us" abandoned car prop or something. I mean there's no way it would look like that IRL especially during rain and on such car and also the dirt type looks to me like it belongs on something oily/greasy like a piece of engine component or some chassis part under/near the engine etc. Also I would've loved if you did simulate the smoke, exhaust pop and the splashes even tho you've mentioned you were on a "weak" PC and Blender probably doesn't offer that much of great fluid sim tools like PhoenixFD, maybe EmberGen for fire/smoke is one of the best options. To me there's something about everything being perfect and faked as least as possible, I guess it's just because it's so difficult to get things right and behave realistic in the sim + the patience it takes which makes the work more "respectable" from artists PoV compared to just using some images/overlays which also has some challenges like color/lighting matching but to a much lower degree but on another hand there's AI in-painting lol.
Hey bro! Thanks for comment 🙌🏻 I appreciate what you’re saying for sure, the reg I gathered so much reference and spent loads of time making it match my reference so I’m pretty happy with it. As for the simulation and particle stuff, I went into this knowing it wasn’t getting animated and that I’d post it for the photo. I’m currently working on an animation which will have all the above elements simulated and even then I’ll be compositing in Nuke. Nothing is always pure CG and I’m all about the final result rather than people being annoyed by how I did it! Appreciate the feedback though! 🙌🏻
@@ethdavis True, in actual production it's always all about the result and you have to fake as much as possible but so it's also not too destructive in case quick changes are needed aka be efficient and how you did it here is perfectly fine and breakdowns with "fakery" is also necessary probably even more than those regular VFX House breakdowns that I like so ppl can learn how to optimize and become more efficient. Also It's not like I was annoyed or anything, just shared my thoughts that's all :D
And for the lic plate I haven't seen anything like it myself. I guess the refs you took is the dried mud dirt from the car after rain water was going down over the plate or a super dirty plate being washed away but that should wash away real quick during rain so that state should be fairly brief and would likely happen only on mud roads which the AMG would likely never see. In UK/Manchester most plates are often dusty or barely dirty.
Totally get you dude! You should see my license plate🤣 This road is filthy! Thanks man 👊
@@ethdavis That makes sense, cheers! 👊
please step by step video for this
I’ll definitely do one in the near future, thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Great work!
maybe u could show next time the whole process from "cube" scratch :D
Tutorial like :)
in the future i will! Thanks for the kind comment
Im very curious as how to get that motion blur on the trees and wheels only. I understand that u can animate only the wheels with motion blur activated. but that about the trees?
I thought of parenting the car chassis to the camera, but in this case the motion blur varies throughout the scene, if i would do this kind of parenting the whole scene would have the same effect strength all around
Hi mate, I parented the camera to the car - the car and the wheels are moving but because the car stays in the same place in the camera view, it stays sharp whilst everything else gets blurred.
@@ethdavis Awesome render btw. Attention to detail is great
Thanks dude !
is 4070 super enought for entry level blender?
For sure!! Even my old 3060 was, there’s ways to render individual parts of your image and then combine them after the fact. This makes it way less intense on your PC, as well as trying to optimise your scene, most gpu’s are capable 🙌🏻
@@ethdavis i want to build my new pc, do u you think that i5 14500 with 4070 super and 32gb of ram is okey? Or procesor is to weak to handle blender? And btw your car scene is stuning
Ethan what should i possibly search to get that
rain splashes
Dirt passes
Smoke passes
Water droplets passes
Many other things
If possible can you share these passes on discord of yours
Being a 3D artist and retoucher requires you to be pretty nifty at researching and finding things online; references, materials and more.
There isn’t a particular thing you search, you just have to search random things and know what you’re looking for :) hope this helps!
@@ethdavis sadly maximum things on internet are paid 😥
-
All the things you mentioned are free jpg’s from google search :)
sound is quiet low
Had a few messages about that, will fix for the next vids. Thanks!
how did you get the motion blur if its a single still shot?
You animate the car and pick a frame inbetween the start and end to render and it will apply the motion blur :)
lovely@@ethdavis
Did u find where u got the trees from?
Not sure mate, don’t think they were free though. Think it was someone’s gumroad
@@ethdavis thanks bro your own render is so good man I wanna be like you when I grow up
Did u add motion blur in blender?
Yes:) the car is moving and the camera is attached
@@ethdavis what are the motion blur settings if i may ask?
Nice post. But like most of Blender user, plugins, free models, bought textures..
I’m a max user originally, working in the industry. I still would’ve used forestry and rail clone so that point is silly. Why not speed your workflow? I’ve modelled a lot of cars in my portfolio, but now I only use HKV Studios models, because they’re incredible and super talented. You don’t have to be good at everything within the industry. Photo-scanning is not a viable option for a quick job that is just for your portfolio, thanks for the comment.
bro plz provide us the car model
This is not cycle render this is motorcycle render 😭
🤣
No disrespect intended, your video is absolutely great! ♥
But have you ever heard of Stable Diffusion? I use it to take a picture like this in 10 seconds.
So why all this effort?
Because its fun:) Why do we do anything? I could take this as a photo as well, but there's something about diving into the details and creating what was in my head as an initial idea. That is what art and being an artist is about. If you get happiness from typing it into AI then you should enjoy that! But I wouldn't consider it art and Goodluck with paying clients..
♥@@ethdavis
Do not measure road with outside of satelite view. please. that width is not based on anything
It was just for show🙌🏻 satellite is definitely the way to go when measuring:)
so many positives to comment on and this is what you chose, just shut up bro
Go do it urself bro🗿
Maddd work. u got a new sub
thanks bro!
Amazing render and very interesting video! Great Job, I love it! 🔥
Thanks so much:)
Awesome breakdown man!
thanks bro! Big fan of your gas station vid!
