12:12 im sorry but I don't understand this, I try to make the car move at a reasonable speed like 60 km/h but instead the car goes extremely slow or in other case the car goes to 1250 km/h (not kidding this is literally the speed) and the physics of the car doesn't work properly. I'm really trying to understand this. Sorry if this question is obvious or awkward but I really don't understand this. Thanks a lot for the tutorials you are really good and I enjoy making my first car animation but this is the only issue I'm having right now.
Ok, this is weird. There are a few things that I can imagine. Did you active the physics? If so then you have to bake it and set that every single frame will be played, no frame dropping. You can set this up in the timeline window. Maybe also it's because you changed the scale of your path and haven't applied the scale. You can do that in the 3D viewport by clicking on object > Apply > Scale. Try these two things and check if it works. To be honest, I never had or heard from a similar problem so I don't know exactly how to fix it, but these are two ideas.
thanks for the video! On 8:36 i have the same issue that i saw on your video. Looks like a car hit the bump, g-force sky rocketed and turned red. Any ideas how to avoid this? I had this bug randomly in different places of my path Thanks in advance!
You´re welcome! On 8:36 it was just because i´ve activated the physics at this point. A few seconds later you can see that it works fine. In your case it can have two reasons i think. 1. You didn´t play the animation again from the beginning to recalculate everything again after enabling physics. 2. Your car is very fast from the beginning of your animation. With physics enabled you should give the car a few frames to accelerate. Could you fix it that way?
Thank you very much. Launch control comes with three cars. There are some websites where you get free high quality cars like wirewheelsclub.com. Then there are also add-ons like "Transportation", where you get over a hundred cars for a cheap price. Unfortunately I can't share the blend file, because of the textures. But I shared the model in my large landscape tutorial. You just have to texture it, but all masks and models are included.
Hey! I've been following your tutorial and it's been very helpful so far. However, I'm having issues with using the spline path that you duplicated at 10:00. whenever I try to select it in the Launch Control menu it says "Could not use the User Path. There seems to be multiple splines inside the path object. Please delete all but 1 spline in the User Path.", any idea how to fix this?
Thank you very much. What kind of path did you create? Did you make it the same as I did in the tutorial (duplicate edges of the mesh and made them a curve)? Or did you do it by creating a new path, with Shift + A?
I would bump up the sample rate. It depends on what kind of artifacts you have, some are also cause by motion blur or something. You can also play around with the clamping values or try another denoising method. 1. Try to set the clamping value for direct light to 1 or 2 2. Try a different denoising method, for example Denoise in the compositing tab instead of optix or something 3. Bump up the sample rate
The toughest part is the environment and optimising the scenes please make a tutorial on that part of the video rest all call me more or less can be made with a addon, please consider
Unfortunately i can´t, because i used textures that i´m not allowed to share. But you can download the landscape models, also with the road, but without the textures frome my large scale landscape tutorial. You´ll find links for that in the description. You just have to add your own textures, but its already UV unwrapped.
@@enhancedsight oh I understand, thank you. I'm quite new to Blender, I looked for many different models but I couldn't find it. I guess I'll have to watch your tutorials and do it myself...
I use the same LC version, but blender 4.0. The user path option should be in the launch control tab as shown in the video. Try to update blender because some of the functions of the add-on maybe don't work in older version (just a guess). Let me know if that works otherwise I will try it myself 👍🏻
You mean to chose which mesh should be the ground? After you rigged the car with launch control there will be a collection called ground. You just have to put the ground in this collection.
Yes, that should be possible depending on your scene. If your vram is too low, because you use lots of high Res textures for example, then just play around with the simplify option.
Will also make a tutorial about render settings, but also made one about how i build my landscapes. I guess you have trouble with GPU Memory. There are a few ways to reduce it, but the easiest is, to use the simplify option in the render settings. Also raise the dicing rate, if you use adaptive subdivision. For the assets i just use the maximum distance option in geo scatter. That way i just have to scatter the smaller assets (like grass) near the camera.
@@petermeier4465 the 3070 ti has 8 GB vram which should be enough for most scenes, especially in 1080p and with simplify enabled. You can upscale it afterwards, if needed. The rendering at the start of the video was rendered in 1080p and upscaled to 4k.
@@enhancedsight okay thank, unfortunately I don't have geo scatter lol expensive, but I got g scatter and the pants library which I tried using but didn't work for me unfortunately 😖I'll go see what simplified, subdivision and dicing rate is thank you!
@@petermeier4465 Not simplified subdivision, but simplify. It's an option in the render settings, to choose a maximum texture size. For example, if you use many 4k or even 8k textures, then your scene gets heavy real quick. With simplify you can reduce the amount of memory used.
I think, that there must be an error with the parenting. Try Alt+P and clear the parent and then parent them again. It can also be, that you already connected the objects to a rig.
@@Bikkufootballtalks you should remove the rig first and rig it with the add-on again. That's very easy especially if everything is named correctly. If the add-on doesn't work because of how you named the meshes then you can name them automatically with a few clicks using the add-on.
Bro, pls, help with the fact that when you turn on physics, the car turns over and gives an error "Physics Invalid" And if you press "reset" that doesn't help either((( Thank you)
You have to go to the start of the timeline and make sure that "play every frame" is selected at the playback settings. From there you can play it and it should work fine. You can bake the animation so you don't have to do that again every time. Also avoid that the car accelerates extremely fast, like 0-100 in 1 frame, because that can cause errors in the physics.
Launch Control is not free. Rig A Car is free, but not as good. You would have to animate the physics by yourself which is time consuming, especially if you don´t know what you´re doing and want to play around.

You can search it on blendermarket. They have lots of car models for a relatively cheap price.
