Hey, my teacher says that in the aims and objectives I can simply state an aim of 'Increase brand awareness' and evaluate from there without being specific. However your videos focus more on writing only objectives instead of aims. Do you think aims would still be appropriate if it comes to not knowing what to put for an objective?
The aims of the business are given to you in Part B - these are what you need to focus on by chosing one of the options and then developing objectives that help the business achieve their stated aims
you mentioned that the aims are already given to us in part b. does this mean it is just a case of copying them when we write our aims and objectives and should we add a third if there isn't a third one given or is 2 enough. thanks
In Part B we are told what the business wants to achieve - e.g. a significant increase in sales, or to expand a product range etc. So these are the aims - and they are enough for then putting together the objectives that we'd like to set for our marketing mix and campaign
In terms of topics, I'd revise SWOT, PESTLE & Product Life Cycle + the extended marketing mix 7Ps. Then just practice by looking at past research packs / papers
Hi, thank you for answering my question although I accidentally wrote it wrong. I wrote a basic and non-specific objective so I could see if the structure was okay to then personalise depending on the business in whatever exam I go into. Therefore for this example exam I would’ve said, spend £10,000 on television advertising about new beauty technologies on beauty television channels over 3 months. I just wanted to know and double check if I could say spend a certain amount as all the previous examples were about increasing percentages and customers which is therefore why I used a generic objective. Sorry for the misunderstanding
Understood - and thank you for adding your Q to the livechat! I'd be a little cautious about including amounts spent on advertising as an objective in Unit 2. Spending on advertising is easy - it is results that count! So perhaps a better objective would be a specific result from the advertising campaign; eg.. getting 100 potential customers to respond to a QR code on the adverts.
Is there a completed version of shine beauty? Model Answer?
When are you gonna go live for reseats in May
Thanks again Jim. Brilliant help for our students!
You're always welcome Karin!
17:58 how come it’s for the first 2 months and not the 6 months?
Because I wanted to run the salon events early in the campaign to give Shine Beauty tine to follow-up attendees

Hiya, i was just wondering will there be a finance btec exam session? The exam is on Monday the 15th of Januray
Yes - we have two livestreams on Sunday evening revising Personal Finance and Business Finance topics
Hi there, I'm Just wondering How do I revise for this, because i'm retaking it Next week, and i've been struggling revising for it.
In terms of topics, I'd revise SWOT, PESTLE & Product Life Cycle + the extended marketing mix 7Ps. Then just practice by looking at past research packs / papers
are all the worked examples across your livestreams MB4?
loving the streams!
I'd hope so! They map to the requirements of MB4 for each relevant AF
@@tutor2u-official That's great to know! We owe you big time for whatever marks we get, it feels like this exam is 90% technique!
is this exact case study for the exam in two days???
No - the Shine Beauty case study is just an example which we've been using to help provide examples for the livestreams.
Hey , thank you for this. I’m taking my first exam next week and I find it really difficult to understand how to do the gantt chart.
We'll go through this on Sunday when we look at the campaign timetable.
