S. G.P. I’ve barely started exploring down there but I hear good things about where u just mentioned 😉. Water temps have been pretty wonky and that’ll play a big part in how active they are but should be good there, just depends on the day.
Thanks brotha, I really appreciate your support. I’m also loving all your stories, you’ve got a LOT of knowledge and it’s gonna help a lot of people. Let’s keep grinding! 👍
Hey Vincent I believe I answered your question on Instagram last night but thanks for the idea of doing a video on this question! Regarding the hook being exposed, I don't. I actually hide the hook inside the crab, especially when using nickel to quarter sized bait.
Great video again. Diggin the detail shot of the fish, structure, sand crab beds and exit.....very informative for sure....you’re making me wanna go surf fishing again. Keep me coming bud! Great channel l!
Yea bro our beaches are super crowded especially during the summer, but they are there! I still remember that giant spotfin u or your girl caught. I’ve caught a couple small ones but a giant one like that is on my wish list!!
@@BenjieKimFishing Haha sadly it was her that caught it but I'm also happy she caught it🤔😅 we used a small hook and sand crab on a slider sinker set up👌
Due you should get into fly fishing , combine your knowledge of Corbin a and fly fishing you will be unique fly fishing master. Nobody really fly for corbina
Thank you bro 🤙. Fly fishing for beans is a bit niche but definitely a thing. I’ve had the privilege of meeting a couple amazing fly fishing guides that target beans and they are amazing people and fishermen (graham day and glen ueda). I’d love to learn how to fly fish one day, it’s truly a style that takes a lot of skill but for now, I’m still trying to master a regular rod and reel! 🤙🤙
@@BenjieKimFishing (salt water) fly fishing is Not a good idea... just stick to what you've been dong. those two people are nice and know what they're doing since it's their full time job
Thanks for the feedback. I use 4 lb leader and have lost my share of beans in the wash. In my experience and opinion, corbina on light line need some time before being beached or they will break you off. What kind of gear/setup do you typically use?
Great stuff
I appreciate it, thank you!
You sir are the corbina master!
I’m no master but I do love bean hunting very much and try to get better each time out! Thank you for the comment!
@@BenjieKimFishing Inspired me to do some corbina hunting down here in Carlsbad and perhaps Solona Beach where I frequent.

As always, thank you so much for your support Derick!!!
Can you please show us exactly how to hook the sand crabs. I’m so confused. You use such tiny hooks. How do you keep the tip of the hook exposed?

Man, thanks Alex! This was my first “real” fishing video. So many things I would’ve done different but hopefully it was helpful for some!!
Well done video. Congrats on the pb
Thank you so much, I appreciate the kind words! 👍
Good information 👍👌😊 I wish I could have been taught all that stuff in school, spot on charts, nice catch and release !
Thanks always for the support Sam, I really appreciate it. I’m looking forward to meeting you on Saturday! 🤙
I didn't know they stayed in shallow water like that😲 maybe it's because there are too many people around these beaches Haha but sick fishing bro😁🤙

So dumb, tiny Corbin’a tighten your drag that’s way to dramatic just reel it in
