It's really sad to know that a bunch of people never knew this side of Staind. This is the Staind I will always love and miss. My favorite Staind song all-time hands down.
Aaron :This song is called raw. Guy in audience : Raw! Aaron: (turns it up a notch) RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
I think there's an emotional connection between band members when they play this song. Meaning the guitarist having a seizure and the bassist humping his instrument.
Staind matured, like all bands do. That's why they got softer. Just notice how the lyrics changed as Aaron's life did. Same thing happened to the music itself. You should be happy that Aaron doesn't feel the need to scream his pain out in songs anymore.
his vocals are not brutal.. they are painful. and that is why a lot people liked them so much back in the days of Tormented, Dysfunction, and Break the Cycle.
Staind kick ass live. He screams even better than he used to on disfunction and he still sings amazing. People saying he's boring live need to go to a show themselves and see the amazingness that is staind.
But he's still around and selling out shows. Not every band from the late 90s/early 2000s can say that. Yea, I miss old Staind too, but just saying, give the man some credit. Staying power is rare.
This song saved my life many moons ago! Aaron was on par with Chino at this time, Wish he woulda tried to go even heavier into the millennium instead of what became of Staind. Picture Korea off of white pony with Aaron doing the harsh vocals. . . Missed potential. .
whenever people talk about the most brutal vocals no one mentions aaron cause of their new stuff. dude you listen to this song especially live like this and he friggin owns like almost everyone
Actually I kinda like that. Mike makes up for Aaron's lack of motion. And if you think about it, all the lyrics are about how hurt he is...so it adds to the pain in the music, I think. Aaron has one HELL of a roar/scream, but Mike is the real reason I love watching their live stuff.
i think he was out of it there in the end because of all the screaming. i love artists who put everything they got into their performances. aaron is a true artist and performer.
I know I posted pretty much the same thing twice, but they used to be my favorite band. I've heard something about their newest CD going back to their metallic roots. I'll believe it when I see it.
I bought this CD before Staind had any radio play in my area. I thought the cover looked cool and the album name intrigued me. Was. Not. Disappointed. Didn't even know what type of band Staind was. Saw them live with Korn. Simply a magical experience and I got Fieldy to flip me off lol
Aaron is an amazing singer i think the best out there and that is the fact. Not if he running around on stage and perform.... i saw them 4 times and i go again and again....
staindknot bro slipknot and staind are the best bands ever. i’m heading to louder than life. i get to see them both. 14 hour drive. and i just seen knotfest 2 weeks ago. fuck i love rock music.
One of Mike's baritone Ibanez guitars, to his specifications. He has his own series Ibanez guitar (MMM-1). It's not EXACTLY the same as the one in the video but it's close.

They are playing this song on the current tour

This song literally spent the entire band. Look at them after it's over. Good fucking lord the energy they put forth at this festival is mind blowing

i miss this fucking music
Mushok is so underrated.
his vocals are not brutal.. they are painful. and that is why a lot people liked them so much back in the days of Tormented, Dysfunction, and Break the Cycle.

No one in this world could ever replace Aaron Lewis OR Mike Period
These were the days!!!!! Old school Staind classic! You don't have talent like this anymore.
(very calm) "this song is called 'raw'..."RAWWWWWWWW!!!!!"
look at mushok go! and lewis' vocals are amazing! both the singing and particularly the screaming! ah, they were the days!
He went from this to doing county like wtf
But he's still around and selling out shows. Not every band from the late 90s/early 2000s can say that. Yea, I miss old Staind too, but just saying, give the man some credit. Staying power is rare.
Thier back together gonna release a new album new year gonna be brutal aaron says

ua-cam.com/video/cQVbngg4Ioc/v-deo.html
Adyn Garza nothing is set in stone
Love to be part of that generation of Nu- Metal when i was young
when I first heard this I couldn't believe this was the same band who did "and its been awhileeee" heavy af
I love how Mushok plays that guitar when he gets so intense with it starts playing it low to the ground
This song saved my life many moons ago! Aaron was on par with Chino at this time, Wish he woulda tried to go even heavier into the millennium instead of what became of Staind. Picture Korea off of white pony with Aaron doing the harsh vocals. . . Missed potential. .
It would've been cool but Chino did just fine when he went screamo
Staind is so great! They keep evolving. They were great then and they're great now, just different then they were
One of the best songs ever
he lets out a pretty good scream while they cover this love by pantera
The distinction between Staind calm songs and this one is fucking huge!!
Have you ever noticed how Aaron can go from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde lol?
Dude, Mike Mushock tears this song UP.
I been there from the beginning!!! Aaron definitely is my favorite artist and it’s been a privilege seeing Staind 3 times and Aaron once

This song reminds me of chef Ramsey on hells kitchen when something's raw
Aaron Lewis still sings amazing. New album coming out and never been so excited. They still kick ass
And it's dark and heavy again 🤘
Actually I kinda like that. Mike makes up for Aaron's lack of motion. And if you think about it, all the lyrics are about how hurt he is...so it adds to the pain in the music, I think. Aaron has one HELL of a roar/scream, but Mike is the real reason I love watching their live stuff.
i love how hardcore he gets at 2:13
i think he was out of it there in the end because of all the screaming. i love artists who put everything they got into their performances. aaron is a true artist and performer.

Old School shouldn't throw his bass around like that. Mike looks cool when he does it. Johnny looks like a spaz.

One of Mike's baritone Ibanez guitars, to his specifications. He has his own series Ibanez guitar (MMM-1). It's not EXACTLY the same as the one in the video but it's close.
Got here from the live "Break" video.
Omg
@rickengothic at least realize that the name of the album is Staind and not Seven. Thank you.
@djmovecrew um, wireless guitar maybe? Needs to be there? lol, or the song list is posted in front of it

I can do the screams too. Not always though, depends on the state my throat is in.
