I like SNW, but I don't personally feel that it's their peak. SNW was a very emotional (and good) album, but Koi No Yokan feels like an equally intense, but more refined and to the point album. In my opinion, White Pony was their best (but to be honest, we should let the band members decide this themselves). That being said, I wouldn't be on this video if I didn't think SNW was a great album: Xerces is a beautiful song.
SNW musically was awesome. Last album with Chi and those smooth bass lines (no pick, or distortion). Lyrically, it's not great. I think that's why Chino hates this album so much. One, he was going through some stuff and two, he put minimal effort into those lyrics. Just read them. He was pissed at the band and was basically telling them it was over. I bet he regrets that some of those feelings/lyrics leaked out to the music. For me, SNW in the top 3. That beware break down may be the hardest breakdown besides Bloody Cape. Hardest album but also they let Frank spread his wings on the effects!
The actual songs that they have uploaded are better, and more even sounding then the live preformances. So u can try out deftones by visiting their chanel instead

i agree. i definitely feel it. there is more of a focus like this isn't going to last forever and i think chi has something to do with it. it's a little trippy looking at the audience and realizing most of these kids probably were barely even in preschool when the deftones first record came out. and yea man i've been a fan since before atf and i am still full into this band. one of the only bands i will just sit and watch live video after live video of on youtube... all these years later.

I saw them live 3 times in houston. Was over 10 years ago. They are by far the best concerts I've been to. And ive been too lots of concerts.
I've only seen the twice. Once in 94 with Korn and again in 2006 with 12 other bands so had to wait through them all
