This song cuts me so deep nowadays.. its hard to listen to but i still fuckin love it.. it reminds me of my father... he was never there for me growing up, tragedy struck and well now im forced to live with the demons he left behind, I've learned to face them well sorta but dont think I'll ever make the trip to actually face them.... Thank you Staind! For always being there for me!
an ironic sidenote - Staind acquired a concert slot with Limp Bizkit in 1998 through longtime friend Justin Cantor. Shortly prior to the performance, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst was appalled by Staind's grotesque album cover and unsuccessfully attempted to remove them from the bill. His perception changed, however, after being impressed with their performance.
Not many voices like that out there. We need to cherish these diamonds. Just like Cornell, they are here one day and gone the next. Aaron is still writing some great music. #makingmusicgreatagain
Great song, lots of great Alt. rock bands came out around this time (2000-2001), Fuel, Linkin Park, Saliva, and even early works from Lifehouse...such as "Sick Cycle Carousel" My best friends mom actually knows drummer Jon Wysockis mom, they are from Cape Cod, Massachusetts...a wonderful bunch of people.
i had to watch my child go through the same thing. I hurt for my child even though he is 22 now. His dad was extremely violent I gave him the choice to look him up. He chose not too. I say good choice. He never knew his father. He was not born yet. Not everyone is gonna love you, related or not. The ones that do love you, hold onto them dearly. People say to face your demons....I always ask what good can come of it?
Yeah it can be hard that's for sure. The only good that can from facing your demons is to I guess finally know that there gone. And as for you are still alive.. but some memories are better left to be forgotten.
Wow he sounds the same live a lot of bands Sound way different live this feel like your Listen to the same version and it’s live it’s not it’s the song that’s hard to pull of good job
I still drink to the song over the memories of being left heartbroken, my 3rd relationship coming to end marking it the last relationship I have to be in, people making me as the bad guy where I received death threats in the end, being falsely accused and nearly cuffed for a crime I didnt commit, wish I could smile again
What an unfortunate situation brother. I don't know you or what exactly you've been through but I hope you can take some inspiration from the stoics of ancient Greece. They believed that everyday you wake up is a new life. And everytime you go to bed you experience death. Each day we wake up with a singular life to live, and how we spend that day could drastically change the rest of our days for the better or worse. Haunting memories can be hard to shake, but waking up everyday in search of something that can bring meaning to your life again can certainly help to distance them further from you. For me personally, I got out of my own darkness when I started playing music again, its something I did when I was much younger in a more simpler time and gave me a motivation and meaning to my days that I hadn't had in years. Something, anything to fill your day and push you in the right direction. I hope any of this can help get you thinking about the right stuff for you and that soon you'll smile again without a second thought. Peace bro
@@slimmmshaney5695 Ive experiance death once, when I was 14, its alot to take in but it happened, fast foward today with other scenarios that happened, hopefully I can smile again, right now just one thing thats hurting that Im trying to shake off
all korn is metal, it dont get much more metal than that. other that slipknot, pantera, mushroomhead exc.... if korn and new korn is not metal, then metal dont exsist. korn is the shiiiiiiiiit, i dont give a fuck what anyone says
I mean is it a crime if THEY ARE christian? My goodness plus they could be never know I dont know em that well but they could be just a rock band that doesnt sing about christian things but they still are. Like the lead singer for SLAYER is catholic soo heh yeah just fyi

Great point, but facing our demons for me, meant learning from those painful lessons
and knowing not to repeat them again.

woah convulsions at 0:35 !
where did u get that from??
everyone jams out their own way i say let em jump around
thats how they always end the bridge. aaron does the soft fade away. and johnny does the higher fade away.
Read this comment at that exact moment. Nice
interviews with him
i think korn should have called this guitarist to play for them when head left. he would definitely fit there :)
Mike's guitar tone in the beginning is a bit different, but better than the actual studio recording of this song
me gusta shakira
lol it's 4:20
Did this band escape a nervous hospital? Does the lead singer like mustard on his biggy fries and bisquits? Reminds me of Karl from Slingblade movie.
The one that disliked this must be deaf (or at least I hope so).
alternative rock. not metal. having a heavy part in a few songs does not make it metal.
Is Staind a christian band? I heard they are touring with Creed and I was wondering if they are a christian band too.
so nirvana was metal too? or grungemetal? no it was what it was.
creed started out in christian rock. staind is not, but they dont pray to satan, lmao

staind a christian band lololololol
Guitarist needs to calm down besides that staind kicks ass
I mean is it a crime if THEY ARE christian? My goodness plus they could be never know I dont know em that well but they could be just a rock band that doesnt sing about christian things but they still are. Like the lead singer for SLAYER is catholic soo heh yeah just fyi
No they're not a Christian band. Aaron Lewis is Jewish.
Creed is not a Christian band and i dont think this band is either....sorry
stainds far from christian music
i dont think he gets enough credit
