I know I’m odd for this but I like all the temperature ranges of coffee. Hot out of the pot, Luke warm, and cold. I just use a ceramic mug with a ceramic lid and it’s perfect for me. I’ve heard great things about camelbak though!
A tip for cleaning these after a while of getting stained from coffee or tea is to drop a denture cleaner tablet with warm water in there for a few hours or overnight. Cleans it right up good as new.
Thanks for this I wasn't even aware of this brand il go look now they have tons of lovely looking kit! www.wacaco.com/collections/shop I'm still very happy with this one I have apart from the feint smell of metal the first cup which went after a good wash. il check out the wacaco stuff now.
@TrailTrek TBH, Wacaco only has the Octaroma mug in various colours and sizes. They seem to specialise in portable espresso makers instead. Wacaco has one disadvantage and that's its silicone rubber base which is a bit narrow and might be tipped over. I would trust my Octaroma mug as spillage‐proof for hikes and travels but I trust my Kleen Kanteen TK Twist better. Both have a threaded lid that has to be twisted. If the KamelBak prevents spillage then it's just as good.
Its odd that you bring this up. Most of my day is spent at a desk and I used a small hot plate type coffee warmer for 20 years. It would regulate the temperature perfectly. Well it finally stopped working. So I bought another electric warmer off Amazon. Does not work very well. Which sent me on the hunt for a insulated mug. I will try this.
So far liking it. It keeps water cool like they say and also hot coffee. First drink I thought there was a metallic taste even though I scrubbed it well before first use. maybe I was just picking up a scent, anyway its fine now had loads of coffees in it and sits on my desk. If I had to improve it in any way I would make the silicone base wider, the handle slightly less angular and drop the price a bit but happy using it daily. If you are looking for this kind of thing also consider the Yeti stuff which is expensive but very good quality as well.

Yeah if I leave it long enough I just pretend it's ice coffee 👍😄.

I have gone for the horizon 800ml size for use in the car commute.
Let me know what is like, I have a cheap knock off yeti I sometimes use in the car but this would be better.
I got a Wacaco mug which is rather impressive. It's not perfect but the main concern of all insulated mugs is always the lid.

It would be great to take in the car...
A longer one is better due to not having a handle for deep cup holders.
Any idea, how to fill that tiny valve/hole in the cap? Just spilled coffee in the car because of that tiny hole
