ayo, I kid you not, this is the best method i've seen for this. I watched like 3 courses and they all have me create hella nodes but this is literally one step. Thank you!
Hey this is a newbie question was a lil scared to ask ..are you guys shooting in flat for green screen as well ? Couldnt find the 8bit/10 bit..but assuming my problems of dullness is shooting in flat
You can shoot in flat and then you would correct it before pulling green screen. But usually I don’t shoot in flat at all just gotta make sure your exposure is good and always at 10 bit 422 if possible.
Because post process volume color grades the whole image. This is strictly for the green screen plate. The post process can be used after this process or in post production.
Hey! Thanks for the tutorial! Just a question, how can I add a tint color and tint intensity parameter to that texture? I couldnt manage to use this Chromakeyer with the traditional blend overlay...
Thank you very much for this lesson!!! Maybe you can help me, why my PNG green screen footage inside unreal engine looks very low quality? I shoot on bmpcc6k and iPhone. Even after render it looks like it was filmed on old smartphone
thanks for your answer! my problem was probably more in the influence of the environment and light in the unreal engine, I played with it and it became much better, I will experiment more
I followed your tutorial and could do the chroma key in after effects and import the png sequence to UE! Amazing! Thank you so much! I’m so happy with this!
Nice tip. However, I learned that switching my PNG sequence from Masked to Translucent and turning on dynamic shadows, keeps lights from creating an unwanted sheen to the image and it also allows finer results when it comes to hair and other edge details.
Please can you put the link? I also have the same problem, I used Img Media Source with MediaPlate. I switched the material settings, light settings, program settings but still not working. How I can fix it? @@weshootfilms
how do i make the background transparent cuz i do everything in after effects and render rgb+alpha and everything then when i put it in it's a black background
First of all, thanks for all the amazing info you are sharing. I'm new to UE, everything works however, my image looks dark when in Lit mode, by itself and inside the Material Instance window looks fine, but for some reason on Lit mode it looks very dark.
You’re welcome now as far as your problem it’s a bit hard for me to really figure out what’s wrong make sure all your connections are what they should be.
Thanks for the cool video. Everything works for me up to the point where the changes are not displayed in the scene. In "Material Instance," I can make changes such as brightness, contrast, and saturation. Do you have any tips?
@@weshootfilms Thank you very much for your response. I found the error. The "Material Instance" was not applied to the material when I dragged it onto it. A bug had prevented this.
Very informative, Quick Question, I'm still kind of new to Unreal Engine, I wanted to ask you, when you create these sets, do you start with a blank template? third person? etc
Fantastic tutorial, how do you export your footage? do you export it as an image sequence or avi? i am using the legacy render and rendering it as avi,but am not sure is the best way to do
Actually there is something that I couldnt solve. My 4K 60 fps green screen video looks like pixelating while playing. I applied 💯 the process. When it stops looks crytal clear. Why is it pixelating and playing like laggy. Fps setting is matching with sequencer and image source.

Dude! You're the best. I was going to try and add some scalar parameter somewhere. This takes care of so much!!!!! Thank you!

Thank you for sharing! How does this method compare to using a post process volume to color grade the footage?
Because post process volume color grades the whole image. This is strictly for the green screen plate. The post process can be used after this process or in post production.
@@weshootfilms but I think you can set the boundaries of the volume to sit only around your subject

cant you do it in blueprint for the material instead of the instance?
@@antonpersson1869 yes you can but I try my best to stay away from blueprints as much as I can lol I like it simple.
