Agreed...the attention to detail esp. on small repairs is superb. A lot of this is hard earned knowledge with a splash of thinking 'outside the box.' She is a craftsman.

Thanks for another great video. So nice to see this Scandi set returned to glory. And I can’t wait to get a peek of your new shop. I first subscribed because I lusted after your old shop. I forced my husband to watch your old opening sequence, saying “This woman is living my dream!” Truth is, I’m disabled so it is a pipe dream, but I played in that shop vicariously! So I’m expecting big things for the new one - no pressure!

I BET THAT THESE PIECES THAT COME IN TO YOUR SHOP BREATHE A SIGH OF RELIEF WHEN THEY SEE YOU, TRENA...KNOWING WHAT IS IN STORE FOR THEM. THEY WILL ONCE AGAIN BE BEAUTIFUL BY BEING TASTEFULLY RESTORED AND READY FOR ANOTHER BUNCH OF YEARS AND THEN SOME. CANNOT BELIEVE YOU ARE MOVING AGAIN, AND THEN AGAIN. WOW. CHEERS!

Not usually a fan of changing things, but I winced when I saw that green velour. When you said it was being replaced with a "new choice," I cheered. But then, I hate mid-century modern, so there is that.
The new upholstery, on the other hand, looks a lot classier.

It never occurred to me that the screws were not original to the chairs. You are the professional, and I am the observer. Your solution to the screws is wise. I have no doubt when all is said and done, this project will be as lovely as any you have done in the past.

... the moment I saw those mushroom plugs, I wondered if they were original. They, absolutely, wrecked the clean lines often associated with MCM design.
Glad you fixed that issue. The flush plugs really just disappeared, allowing the form to be appreciated.

I worked for a company here in the UK that produced Teak furniture, this actual range was some 40 years old and was selling so well. Sadly the company has now closed, but you still see secondhand pieces for sale and fair to say Teak is such a great look. Top job bringing the table and chairs back to life.

You are professional beyond professional. No detail is too small for your customers or for the furniture. I love watching the way you work and the way you explain what you were doing. Thank you for explaining why you use 180 grit in some situations and 200grot in others. This is something I never quite understood. The way the underneath parts of the furniture are just as important to you as the top is just wonderful. So many amateur professionals, if there is such a thing , do not spend the time on the bottom just on the overall finish that you see. To me this is very irritating
Thank you for your professionalism and the wonderful way you finish furniture. Your customers are very lucky to have you.

Your choices are perfect, as always, Trena! The result is so pretty. Your mom did a fantastic job covering the chairs. Great choice of fabric, although I have to admit I did like the turquoise velvet with the teak, but not many would. The black and white boucle is far more period appropriate. Thank you for sharing your expertise. i can't wait to see you work on the cabinetry! Also - good luck with a fast turn around on the new studio workshop! Another fantastic "save", even though I'm not a fan of "Danish Modern". Absolutely agree that flush plugs is the "correct" look. To my eye, this style of furniture always looks structurally deficient, even if it does the job, like this table, with only four "thin" legs. I'm always for "overbuilt" rather than looking "underbuilt". Part of that is, historically, older buildings had timbers 2 or 3 sizes bigger than what modern scientific testing tell us is sufficient - which gives us a safe, "comfortable feeling". Anyway, thanks for bringing us along for the ride - can't argue with great results.😏
