Trena, I had to laugh at myself. When you mentioned bow ties, I pictured them maybe 10% of what you used lol. Glad you're soon to have power. There is another Canadian channel I watch. Both of you seem to have to wait an inordinate amount of time for the electric company to show up. Seems that way to someone from the US, anyhow.
Trena, you have the ability to speak to both fine and primitive furniture the same way uniquely gifted people can speak with royalty and paupers and make both feel just as happy.
I just loved every second of this repair/restoration, I love love Primitive design. I designed and built almost the exact design of this chair in foot stools for my 4 kids. and Grandson one Christmas. years ago. Talk about "Beefy" those stools will hold well over 600 to ton easy! no fears of them breaking while any of them standing on them for sure. Thanks for sharing and love the new work shop can't wait to see you in action there! God Speed. ECF
It definitely was a weird, difficult year. I am glad it is almost over. Next year will be better, for sure. Dear Trena, I hope you and yours have a wonderful, peaceful and blessed Christmas. May 2025 bring you all the joys you deserve. Big hugs from São Paulo, Brazil.
I REALLY love the primative look of this little chair!! Thank you for preserving it! It deserves to show off the handiwork of the maker AND restorer! Thanks, Trena!❤❤🪑
You DID do some teaching in this video. I had no idea what a bowtie joint was. 100 years from now, whoever has this chair will see that nice surprise on the bottom of the seat and know that it was restored with loving care. This holiday season brings both sadness and joy to me. I lost my best friend of 62 years just before our American Thanksgiving. My daughter will give birth to my granddaughter on December 19th (scheduled c section.) Just a few more days! I hope your holidays are happy and healthy! ❤
My mom was from Prairie River, Saskatchewan. My Grandma used to run the post office there, guessing it was around 100 years ago now. Some of the stories they told me were pretty wild. Want to thank you for your content, have learned quite a few things watching.
Love the simplicity! As always, you have my sincere respect for doing a job the correct way, in contrast to the sadly failed repair attempts others have tried.
Oh Trena, what a great video! I like that rustic chair. I thought of a whole story . . . a cozy winter day, wrapped in a blanket with a pile of books on that chair and a cup of tea. Ha. Ha. Ha. I hope you have a blessed Christmas. You certainly have a busy and wonderful few months with your new shop. I am looking very forward to following along. Have a great day.
I can picture that little chair in a rustic cabin in the woods covered with snow, sitting next to a big stone fireplace. Love those bow ties! You never cease to amaze me Trena. Merry Christmas to you and yours.🎄
When I look into the craftsmanship of this little chair, I can envision a dad or grandad lovingly shaping this into a one of a kind present for a little girl. Your restoration brought life and usefulness back into it. I am sure the family deeply appreciates your contribution.
Love the Shaker look to this stool, and I have always loved butterfly / bowtie inserts, just think they're lovely, even if nobody's really going to see them much. I really need to practice more with my router...
That chair would look so good in a log cabin. Your repairs will mean that it will last for at least a hundred years! I love seeing your place there, it truly is "hushed and white with snow". So beautiful!
Trena, Love from Ireland. XX Yes it has been a weird year watching the rest of the world. Your work ,as always is impeccable, your right hand looks scratched up- mind yourself and I think you should treat yourself to a Christmas manicure, we love to see a trojan warrior working with her bling nails
ANOTHER BEAUTY, SWEET TRENA! LOVE PRIMITIVES ALSO HERE IN PENNSYLVANIA, JUST SAW A LARGE BEAUTIFUL RUSTIC ORIGINAL BLUE PIE SAFE IN A LOCAL ANTIQUES SHOP! LOOKS LIKE SHOP DOG IS MAKING THE ADJUSTMENT VERY WELL TO HIS NEW HOME. HOPE SANTA IS GOOD TO YOU AND HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY!!!
Not only do your customers get a work of art returned to them but a how it was accomplished video as well. That chair was made and restored with love...
Weird isn't the exaaaaact word I would use to describe this year. Beautiful job Trena. I like the simple looking furniture as well. Stay warm. Merry Christmas to you all.

Much of the year was rough, but now we can look forward to a new year with videos from your new shop. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Trena, its been a very hard year for me, with many issues. This time of year especially its a sad time, because on the 21/12/2006, I had lost my husband to stokes. I still miss him so much, as he was my rock and support. BLESSINGS FOR CHRISTMAS, to you and your family. Angela from Australia.

What a beautiful old primitive back chair. I can see that next to a fireplace as a seat to warm hands and feet in front of the fire. It's good you didn't modernize anything 👍
Freehanding the bowties. I'm used to people using templates, but I guess your needs vary so much, you'd spend more time making them than using them. Thanks for the shop update. Merry Christmas to you and your family and a toast to a healthy and prosperous new year.
Another awesome restoration. Beautiful simplicity in this chair. Love it! On another note, it would be very interesting to see you craft your take on a Roubo Workbench for the new shop. I bet you would create something beautiful. Thanks again for what you do.

Look at the size of that shop! Woohoo! It looks bootiful! Of course, once you get everything in there, it won’t seem so big, uh? lol. Can’t wait to see the next phase. They said January for power, so it looks like they’re true to their word. Happy holidays.
I really dont understand why you dont have at lease 100,000 subscribers. Your channel is great.Merry Christmas to you and your family.!!!!
Awe. Thankyou! I hope too soon🥰
Totally agree!
I got so excited when I saw that chair and then bow ties! As usual, you did not disappoint. Have a great week.
