I own several from spinning to 300 series, I couldn't afford all I have without them and they're solid, smoother than any other reels I've owned and they do need lube

Glad you liked them. Mine came dry from the factory so i opened her, lubed the gears, oiled the bearings and 4 years later fishing with her It's still like new.

Good review. Right to the point. I spotted a Torrent baitcast reel in a local youtuber's vids last year. He never made mention of it. So I messaged him asking his thoughts. He replied that he has 2 of them, mounted to med heavy rods. And abuses them fishing for bass and pike. 2 years later no issues. So I ordered one. Only used it for a week solid on a trip last fall. But no issues. Doesn't feel like same quality as my Daiwa Fuego CT. But third of price. And both cast lures and reel in fish.
Sorry this comment got burried out of my mobile studio. Yes the Piscifun reels are amazing. Dollar for dollar the best you can buy IMO. It's all I use now. Torrents, Carbon x2, Alloy M and Alijoz.
I have five Phantoms that are now discontinued. I'm going to try the Torrent. The Phantoms were the smoothest reels I have used. That includes Shimano, Diawa, Abu, Lews, BPS and Quantum. I have just finished the 4th year with one and it still preforms like a champ.
I own rhe Piscifun phantom and carbon xcs casting reels. Both are fished hard at least twice a week here in the South African heat and dust. I LOVE both reels, even more than my Shimano reels. I fish both with 30 pound braid, no leader and the drag on both is stunning! Last Friday i caught 10 bass( 4 was over 3kg) without ANY issues. Stunning reels and best value for money out there in my opinion.

These things are now 29 bucks now. I have 2, one of them 3 years old and been through a lot use and abuse. Still works well even after a years of saltwater use.

I just received my torrent II piscifun reel. Will try casting it and give a proper review. So far it looks great and feels great. You say the same factory perhaps that more expensive reels are made. What absolute bothers me is that factory is in China. I was looking for a different rod the other day and they were all made in China as well. I would pay more money for made in America. It's really sad and a bit scary that everything is made in China. And that's the only complaint I have so far.
It’s the world we live in. There are lots of rods made in the USA. Look for a custom rod maker. There are lots.
I've got 2 piscifun spark pro casting reels and I've got nothing negative to say about them. I've yet to try any higher end reels, I currently own a 13 fishing origin a, a cheaper lews speed spool and a abu garcia black max as well as the 2 spark pros and I favor the piscifun reels over any of my others. I just ordered a torrent to throw on my mh bass x casting rod as well, thanks for the review
I agree with you. I’ve used a few of those. Honestly, but the Piscifun Reel and take what you’ve saved to buy a better rod.
Piscifun Carbon X and Alijos are awesome, too.

@thereelridder I have 4 Carbon X, 2 Torrent(5:3,7:1) like you, Chaos XS, and an Alijos I use for Saltwater. No complaints on any. You can't beat them, IMO.

What oil should i use to lubricate the gears?
Standard reel lube. Any shop that sells reels with have it.

Awesome reel!! It looks like you are using a spinning rod with the bait caster, or am I seeing things lol
At one point I did. Broke a rod tip. Used what I had🤷🏻♂️ It worked for the time. Not meant for it, but shows it works!?! Lol.
