Unity to me is an emotion. Surprisingly even with its occational gltiches, its one of those games that I open just to wander in its world parkoring rooftops and appreciating the assassin imerssion it offers.
After playing over 800 hours of Unity and about 100 hours of Mirage I equally love both of these games. Both games are great games in my opinion. I just wish people wouldn't hate on mirage so much because I do not want to see 2014 happening again. Just please consider mirage as a stepping stone till we see another game like Unity, try to enjoy the game and lastly I don't mind criticism on mirage but try not to hate on the game so much, please.

Mirage is not exactly perfect but its a good game and great way to show ubisoft the way back to where it's greatness once was but the feedback it's receiving is like how unity was before, lots of hate.

In Unity you use smoke bombs to mitigate the inconsistent AI and overtuned detection, in Mirage you can confidently use all of your tools and different versions of them to experiment with a consistent experience. Yes, Unity looks beautiful, but actually playing it can lead to inconsistent moments and a lot of jank. Mirage isn't MGSV levels of complexity, but it is a consistent stealth experience.
Parkour of Mirage has just as much jank as Unity's, but Unity compensates that with a lot more variety in it's parkour. Though i grew to like Mirage after finishing it
@@b4bnik not horrendously, just often janky because of how varied it is and the fact that devs didn't have time to polish. But Mirage has a lot a lot simpler parkour, even without basic moves, but it has almost the same level of jank. When learned, Unity's parkour is far from horrendous
@@lepersonnage371 Unity not only suffers from input lag, which already drops the feel test for me, but Arno sometimes does a 180 degree turn when you slightly tilt the stick, and he really tales a while to actually move. When parkouring, he often goes were you don't want him to go, feeling like a balloon, and when going into stairs, any sense of control dies there. Animations are beautiful, and has the best lighting in the series. But since the topic of the video was stealth, I'll go and say it: Mirage has better AI, and it works consistently.
I can't believe how Ubisoft managed to downgrade the quality of its animations to this extent. I mean, Mirage is fantastic. I loved the game, and the gameplay mechanics are really enjoyable. The city is dense and populated. But seriously, Unity already had all of this, and it was better. Buggy, but better. What’s the reason ?
Unity I think uses motion capture for the animations in its parkour/movement. It 100% looks better but it’s hella expensive and can be buggy and inconsistent. The rest of the AC series makes use of “canned” animations. Maybe not as beautiful but more consistent and easier to fix the jank with em. I feel you on wishing Ubi stuck with Unity’s parkour and spent longer polishing it, but that’s the result of execs pushing it out the door faster, and understaffing/paying your QA team.
I just beat Unity 30 minutes ago with a total of 2 bugs happening, one of which was completely avoidable. This one is the only one that interferes with the gameplay: when I am hit by a rifle shot while climbing, I enter an infinite fall loop, which only ends if I die or restart the mission. Apart from this bug, the game is simply flawless. It's completely different from when was released, it looks like another game. I highly recommend it. Cool clothing, cool coop, very satisfying parkour and assassinations.
Better stop lying. Cover system doesn't work properly, enemies get randomly alerted, phantom blade aiming glitch, while parkouring Arno has his own mind. I can go on and on. You mean to say you didn't get any of these ? 😂 What are you special customer ?

Enemies being randomly alerted is something I would definitely know about if it happened, and it never occurred to me, just like all the other bugs mentioned. I'm not a Ubisoft developer, I don't need to lie to maintain a game's reputation. I just told my experience. I'm sorry to hear you have these bugs.
At assassin’s creed team, we are all about historical accuracy, so let’s recreate the teleporting assassination that was used frequently at that period of time
Literally it's through the animus. Assassin's Creed was never about fully immersing into Historical time periods, but experiencing the memory of your ancestor through the animus. Mirage goes back to AC1s roots back by skipping the memory, which Altair also did when traveling to different cities or relaxing in the Bureau, "Fast forwarding memory to a more recent one." Basim does the same thing in Mirage but with kills.
historical authenticity, not accuracy, through the lens of a sci-fi machine that recreates memories while in search of ancient sci-fi orbs that do stuff magically including, but not limited to, causing earthquakes, mind control, illusions, teleportation, resurrection etc etc AC has ALWAYS been about sci-fi.

I think mirage is better in gadget, because you can customize the effect. Mirage has more gadget than unity. But still unity animation are more fluid when perform assassination and parkour.

Stealth, do you have any interest in doing speedruns? I can imagine you doing a no-deaths run combining all your crazy precision and creativity as you charge through camps, clearing out all the enemies. Would be dope!
Mirage actually is impressive with the creative ways you can eliminate enemies, but unity is just badass it just oozes assassin energy and the parkour is heavily credited
That's why i recommend my friend to play unity first, because the assasin vibes is so strong than other series. But if they wanted to stick with the story, i'll recommend the Ezio tales first
Does Mirage really not have any double takedowns? And so far I keep seeing the same two backstab animations, one for running and one for sneaking. Either way these videos are super entertaining

The newer assassin creed games will never make you feel as badass as the originals. The movements, assassinations, and parkour were all so much better in the older games.

Well two things need to be addressed i think, to be fair; some of the unity sequences where from the moded version, and two, for me to play a sequence anywhere near to the level you play unity takes a LOT, mirage system is more enjoyable and forgiving. Unity required perfection in order for it to be enjoyable. All that aside, unity looks flawless, fastest assassin (basim) my ass

Although I think that Unity stealth is the best, Mirage has absolutely amazing stealth compared to the other rpg games. I think the amount of tools that Basim has really lets him have some creative kills.

The only advantage Mirage has is the slow mo mid air knife throw skill. Everything else is better in Unity.

Unity is just built different. Mirage parkour is very similar to even Valhalla.
Mirage was going to be a DLC for Valhalla originally so that's why. It's the same animations, etc.
