I've recently confessed to my close friend at school, and I got rejected. It was ok at first, we agreed to still be friends, but as time goes on, the more painful I feel knowing that we'd never cross the barrier of "being friends". As I dig deeper, I find out that their rejection was mainly because they were probably still upset by their previous relationship at the time of my confession. Now we still chat normally, I enjoy every moment with them, but when I'm alone I just feel hurt by my thoughts.
Could anyone give me some advice on my case?

Now that you gave it some time, you should think about it do you actually like the person or not, and think of your life with that person. Even though this is actually coming from a 6th grader, I have watched a lot of drama shows so I kind of know what you are going through. Also the person that rejected you just lost a great opportunity to have such a nice and kind person as their love of their life, and as you said that the person was going through a previous relationship break-up so maybe he/she might like you back and their mind is just not thinking right at that moment! So this is all the advice I can give you right now but I hope you have a great day!

Yes. I just met a girl most recently and as we were getting to know each other, I did notice that she was looking at me quite a bit and had her legs aimed towards me while sitting next to me.
I did find myself friend zoning her though since we just met and I didn’t want to give her wrong signals by looking at her straight in the eye while talking.

@@Omen465 Honestly it depends on the person but personally, I make extra effort to be closer to someone and even physically touch them in a socially appropriate way. It's not like I don't do these things with people I'm interested in platonically but yeah...idk it's hard to explain. My advice is to start reciprocating those flirty vibes and see how receptive she is.
I’ve been dating my crush for nearly a month now and 3-4 months ago, we talked about past crushes. It came up naturally and we both made it clear that we didn’t have a crush on anyone. I wish I had seen this last year. I thought my friend who I liked had a crush on me and when I told her my feelings she friendzoned me and I was totally heartbroken. Now is the time to date often with the intent to Learn, meet nice people who can become good friends, and if need be... (try not to) make mistakes (but learn from them).
Be upfront though, if you meet a girl who seems nice (but not someone you're falling head over heels for) then ask them if they'd be interested in dating for practice, don't lead them on. They could teach you a lot, it could be good for both of you to come out of your shell and help eachother blossom and each be more prepared for someone special.
It's best to make minor, or even big mistakes and learn from them early while talking to girls who will move on and find happiness without much trouble, than to find someone special and blow it because you are not prepared.
Important things to note:
Love can Grow.
You may not initially feel much for date friends, but overtime little things about them may start to grow on you and you will care for and even sometimes miss them long after they are gone. That's okay, these are also good things to take time to work through/get used to Early in life.
Don't judge these girls or hold bitter feelings, (that won't be attractive when you Do meet 'the one' later) because that won't help you become able to love Yours unconditionally when the time comes, and this will allow you to see more positives in time as you do look back; you may find things to be fond memories that one day take precedence over the cringy mistakes we've made.
We are guys, we will make them, but don't be tooo afraid to either; the right girl might find you cute and endearing for some of your Perceived 'flaws' (things that aren't really wrong, just not as great as you wish you were)
However, when you do have real flaws, you must take responsibility and work on them. The cycle of personal improvement and progression goes ever on and will never cease; onward and upward!
As much as it hurts, it's best to move on but don't worry about a thing when the time is right, you'll eventually find someone with similar interests as you do. It just takes time. Also, it's okay to be single because I too have been single for quite a long time, so you're not the only one 🙂

i have a guy i've started liking for a while (i liked around three years ago but it faded when i knew he liked a friend when she left school, i didn't thought of him as anything more than friends during online classes but started liking him again after going back to school after the pandemic), we have been friends for a lot of years and i think he recently started feeling the same way, he is always close with me, finds ways for our hands to always be touching, he tries to be where i am, never uses his phone while being near me, pats me and plays softly with my hair when im sad and lets me lay down in his shoulders and even recently when he went to a trip he bought me a big cute plush of a animal that us and our friends joke that its name starts the same as mine, and a large etcetera of other things... but i still think that he may just act nice since we are are the ones who relate more ofter (yes im an overthinker😞) i want to tell him that i like him and i've already set a date to tell him that would be in our graduation but i was also thinking about doing it in valentines because i don't know if he will stay in the same school we are at right now but im really afraid of rejection because i dont want to lose his friendship if he doesn't like me back and i like him so much that i spend a lot of time like a fool trying to find confidence in all the love related psych2go videos i can find but still can't,, please if someone can help me i'll really appreciate it😭😭

Well I definitely think that sounds like he is interested in you, especially if that isn’t something he did before! Sounds like a great guy and be sure not to let him slip away, take the chance while you have it. If your school holds dances, asking if he wants to go with you there can be a way to kinda hint that you like him, unless he asks you first 😉 😁
Pretty sure you're there already. He might need some time to consider, so don't expect him to give you an answer right then and there.
Make sure you let your feelings be known though. Life taught me that you will usually be left with regrets if you don't see something through. Even a rejection is a lot better than having to crawl through the hell that follows after too much hesitation.
So yeah, make sure to organize your feelings and confess to him.

With my boyfriend, we were coworkers then eventually close friends for about two years, and there were always physical barriers. I'd come over to his place to watch stuff and there is always a pillow between us. Honestly, I took that as a sign he didn't like me at all. I'm shocked that he was trying to not scare me lol.

@@justaidoni Understandable, i mean i can tell that you ended your relationship with her in a civil manner so there's a chance that she either considers that possibility or just being polite/friendly, it just depends on how you interpret it since people have different perspective when they socialize with someone.
If i were you, I'd rather ask and let her tell it to me directly if she's interested in getting back together or not, rather than being subtle about it. People are too complicated and to generalize exes with what they want with their past partners is not always 100% accurate and this causes misunderstandings if it continues, but this video is a good basis for self awareness I guess, so take notes just incase it matches.

I never knew how much I like this animation better than using random people in the video. I always felt like my best friend had feelings for me when we first met. He waited until everyone left before he came to talk to me. I know i’m just a friend. I have to be realistic with myself. However that doesn’t mean that I will not lose hope. We are still young and our family’s are forming relationships. Hey nice vid! Does it count if we just have like 3 months since we met each other, also we don't hang out very often, but when we do, its always just the two of us. One day she even told me if I wanted her to skip a class so we could just go for a talk. And every time we get togheter other people seem to just go away and let us alone. She also invites me to lunch and every time I ask her out she is pretty responsive, she also seem to like everything i like, she also have complimented me a couple of times and noticed every single change i make to my appearance, heck she even knows my second name even when i dont tell anyone i have a second name!. But theres a little problem where i think she is just being nice and polite with me, and that is the fact that she recently told me she just got a new boyfriend. Also weird because when im with her she dont really like to talk about him and when i talk about him she says that she accepted him because he is nice, but bothing more after that. I dont usually see her too often, so we just text each other, she says that shes bored and i tell her to dont worry im gonna make time to see her, so she says that yes whenever i want to hang out she is gonna be there, man this is so confusing. From my perspective i think she is just being nice with me. But the fact that she doesn't want me to even know her boyfriend exists I see it as weird. And also the fact that she just worries about how my day and my life is going on like we were life time friends, when we just met a few months ago and dont even hang out that much. Hehe

Just a piece of advice. That last point, trying to be alone, they may just be introverts. Don't focus just on that as a sign unless they're extroverted.

All of these videos have made me painfully aware that I don't show the outward signs of crushing on someone, neither when crushing nor when full blown in love.
With a tiny bit of self-analysis (since it's already quite near the surface), I realized that it boils down to one or more of 3 things: I'm afraid of bothering them, I'm afraid of scaring them or I'm afraid of causing some sort of loss for them (like in terms of business opportunities, harming their professional image in their workplace or even their chances with someone they prefer).
Ultimately, I demand of myself that, if I like or intend to like someone, my priority regarding that person should be their happiness. This is not healthy, probably makes me seem uninterested a lot of times, and doesn't help anyone.
