As a parent friend, I don't mind confessions. If someone confessed to me and it was a close friend, I'd make it as comfortable as I possibly could. I'd tell them that I don't feel the same way but that they shouldn't be ashamed. After all it takes a lot confidence and I'd be honoured to help them gain experience. I'm not the type to avoid nor ghost someone I'm close to just because I feel awkward with them. I'd rather comfort them and make them know that they are still my friend, my childe and that I won't treat them any differently nor make them uncomfortable. I'll tell them that I will give them alone time if it still is too much and tell them that if they need comfort to not hesitate to talk to me nor anyone else in the friend group. Communication is key after all.
There have been so many people who have liked me, but I haven’t got any feelings for them. They always end up being sucky though, (same with those I do like. My love life is a dumpster fire)

Im an introvert. I like this guy and I think by now we are friends, we use non verbal communication a lot I think. He might not ask you out on his own but based on what you told me I think he likes you a lot. With me as a shy guy, this feeling of being liked was warm and fuzzy but I really had a lot of social anxiety. If you approach him publicly he may feel like a deer in the headlights. You may have to approach him in private. I don't know about this guy you're interested in but I know I was a bit complicated. An enigma to be certain. I hope this gives you some useful insight. Not a great idea since they might be too shy to ask you, and if you like them but don't go on the initiative, it'll be regretful. I have some memories of doing that and beat myself up over it lol but it's not completely bad since you won't be too disappointed or heartbroken

Whenever I’ve really liked someone, I would do this weird thing where I was very friendly but in a platonic way, wouldn’t say more than I need to and tried to not make it obvious I liked them at all. Actually, I've noticed that sometimes when someone likes you they struggle with eye contact. Sometimes they look away because they're conscious of giving their feelings away if they look you in the eye. This is particularly true at the "crush" stage.
The other day, my crush said someone should join him in a voice chat while he made ramen and I immediately dropped everything I was doing (I was working on a time-sensitive project, heh) to go join the voice chat, haha. And then we ended up talking for like the next three hours and it was awesome.
I see loads of comments that are like “why would someone like me???” I used to be one of them people until someone admitted to actually liking me. It’s a special feeling to finally understand that you’re worth love. So, I hope you can all also understand one’s day that you also are all deserving of it too.
Yeah like some think its weird or gross, but its something that exists. For me I wouldn't mind, I'll just try to become friends with them and get to know them rather then reject them. Because then you can feel bad and want to apologize 😔. It's better to just say something nice and polite like "oh thank you, that's really sweet of you" or something like that. :)

We met around the end of primary school and have been really close throughout all of highschool, and pretty much everyone in class knew we were super close and was absolutely positive one of us had feelings for the other. If this were me, these are mostly signs I DON'T have a crush on someone. I tend to be much more reserved and careful around people I (romantically) like. I feel very uncomfortable around people I like, because I feel like I A. don't want to embarrass myself and B. don't want to seem creepy or give them any hint I like them. If I like somebody, here's my usual telltale signs: 1. I talk about them to other people. Granted, I don't always do this, but if I like someone generally speaking I'll talk to other people about them more often. 2. Like the video mentioned, I try to get time with them, except I do it in a much more reserved, strategic, and non-obvious way. I'll observe things like where they sit, where they walk, stuff like that and attempt to do the same. The difference is tho, I don't go out of my way. If I can't easily be with my crush without a lot of obvious effort, I won't, with obvious being the operative word there. If it's obvious I am putting in effort to be with my crush, I'm not gonna do it. That way I don't look like I'm stalking them. 3. I'm much more verbally reserved around them. I give out fewer compliments because it feels awkward, I tend not to directly address them very much, and I just generally become quieter. 4. I try to catch glances of them. This is something that some of my crushes have actually noticed me doing. I try to catch as many brief glances of them as possible, without any prolonged eye contact. In fact, I will generally avoid eye contact at all costs.

THE TIMING OF THIS VIDEO BRO IS UNREAL! Well there's this girl in class, I'm not really into her but I admire her coolness a lot not knowing she admires how cool I am too. One time we got close because we took an exam that we missed together and she told me that I was different from the rest of my classmates. The unfortunate thing I've noticed these days is that most people want to be behind a screen. Most of these don't apply since we can't see those expressions in person. I've even tried hanging around some people in person, but they just all seem so awkward and under pressure. Loneliness is plaguing us in this online age. Especially since the pandemic is here.

Back when I was younger, I was seated next to this girl I liked since her previous seatmate was really loud. The moment I sat down the first thing that came to my mind was "Oh my- holy frick... don't screw this up. Make a first good impression"... ... we didn't talk that much that day. But every day after we started talking to each other more. It got to the point where I was more social around her. We were even brought to the same group for every science group activity and although I don't like leading because then they'll pay attention to _me_ , since I was grouped with her I was so much more active in helping her and the group, even to the point where if the group was too shy, both of us would take the lead and I'd feel more confident. I think the best move I did was when she needed to walk to a loading/unloading zone for jeepneys and it was raining hard and she forgot her umbrella. Me, being the kind person I am (back then at least), told her to walk with me under my umbrella. I couldn't stop screaming in my mind. And even if it was cold, I was slightly sweating. But that was years ago. She's in a different school and oh boy I'm glad since I am such a mess now and I wouldn't want her to see it. But what if... we were still in the same school, still friends, but maybe we'd talk to each other more and I wouldn't procastinate so much?

I was interested into this girl. I first met her in my 1st year in my university, compared to my laxness in terms of school requirements and deadlines, she was the complete opposite of me and wanted a 90 (B+ to A for you Americans out there) for each subject. We originally met in a group project as these freshmen, barely knowing each other. You'd think that someone like me is very much wayyy out of her league, after all, in our class, she was the type of student that was always chosen to be the leading role. But, somehow, me (mind you, someone who throughout elementary was enrolled in an all-boys school with no prior interaction with women up to that point) after the project, we started chatting and talking to each other more and more for 1 year. Looking back at it now, she and I displayed these signs, and yet I never noticed because for all I'm geniunely just a nice and reliable person. After 1 year of this, it was Christmas celebration in our university and we both decided that we'd abandon our respective friend groups and meet up for the midnight performance of her favorite band. We were pretty nervous because we never really had a date or anything similar up to that point. At first, we were just standing, listening to the band. But as it went on, I built up courage to hold her hand, was pressuming that she'd rub it off and let go, but she didn't and never did. That hold eventually turned into a hug with her at the front and me at the back. Finally, just before the fireworks went up, I finally built up the courage to say "I love you", I was expecting her to just flatout reject and leave me there, but she said those 3 words as well as the fireworks went up. Those were and still are the happiest days of my life, one i'll never forget. Edit: Lots of people be doubting my story. Just gonna say it now, no, I'm no clout chaser or even desperate for clout. no, this is not a lie, but it's a rough summary of my romantic journey, if I could send screenshots, I would, but obviously for privacy reasons (and because I don't have her consent since she ghosts me :(( and hasn't seen my messages since). And if you're wondering, yes we lasted a year, and as of now, we have broken up. If I were lying, I wouldn't admit the fact that we'd broken up, but no, I ain't even gonna lie for that. Hope this clears it up, and please stop replying assumptions as if I'm a random troll, I'm not into that sht anyway. Edit 2: Quick update. Forgot this comment existed, but while I was in discord with my bois recently, I randomly get a reply to my message that I sent her from like a year ago. And I was having so many questions like "Why chat now when we're graduating?" or "Is this some hate message or something" but I digress. Turns out she wanted to reconcile on the hate I (and I wholeheartedly presume her) boiled over for about 1 year and we instigated some convo we hadn't done with each other for so long. We talked about our relationship, the cutesy and sorrowful moments, and that in the end, we were just plucky ol' sophomores that didn't know any better. And with that, we both finally got that massive chip we had for each other off of our chests. I suggested wanting to stay her friend and all, but she refused for now knowing our past. And I respected it and we haven't talked since. But hey, at least I got to experience the coveted "university sweetheart" story arc I never thought of experiencing in my entire life. Life is just weird ain't it?

Weird that this video is a new one while I'm dealing with feelings for my friend and co-worker. I've done the online dating thing and it's easy to get past when someone you don't know rejects you. However, if my friend who knows so much about me doesn't think of me in a romantic way, that rejection will feel more personal. My friend and I have had so many conversations telling our deepest secrets. Since we work together, I tried not to have romantic feelings. I'm used to liking someone and as you get to know them they turn out horrible. However, this person impresses me more and more and I'm at the point that I will soon share my feelings even if I have to quit my job. We are both friendly people to everyone so I do get scared that maybe she just nice to everyone and maybe I'm not special. I find all of these things also apply to someone I find interesting, not just someone I'm romantically interested in. I’m always very open about my feelings. If I like someone I tell them in the first month of meeting them. If they say no, then I request their friendship, because if you’d make a good partner, then you’d definitely make a good friend. love how this was recommended today after i had a convo with my friends at school. we were talking about a video game which a guy nearby seemed to really love. he eavesdropped on our convo the whole day, listening to us describe one of our other friends who wasn't at school that day (and also previously had a crush on him!) about how she was obsessed with the game. he heard it all, although he was too shy to join in and talk with us. we went home and told our friend, telling her that we talked about her and the video game a lot, adding on the odd detail of him trying to be involved with the convo. it turns out she still had feelings for him! it's a good thing we accidentally set them up together at school, i'm hoping they'll become friends... time to become the best, supportive wing woman i can be ^^

As a parent friend, I don't mind confessions. If someone confessed to me and it was a close friend, I'd make it as comfortable as I possibly could. I'd tell them that I don't feel the same way but that they shouldn't be ashamed. After all it takes a lot confidence and I'd be honoured to help them gain experience. I'm not the type to avoid nor ghost someone I'm close to just because I feel awkward with them. I'd rather comfort them and make them know that they are still my friend, my childe and that I won't treat them any differently nor make them uncomfortable. I'll tell them that I will give them alone time if it still is too much and tell them that if they need comfort to not hesitate to talk to me nor anyone else in the friend group. Communication is key after all.

He might not ask you out on his own but based on what you told me I think he likes you a lot. With me as a shy guy, this feeling of being liked was warm and fuzzy but I really had a lot of social anxiety. If you approach him publicly he may feel like a deer in the headlights. You may have to approach him in private. I don't know about this guy you're interested in but I know I was a bit complicated. An enigma to be certain. I hope this gives you some useful insight. If this were me, these are mostly signs I DON'T have a crush on someone. I tend to be much more reserved and careful around people I (romantically) like. I feel very uncomfortable around people I like, because I feel like I A. don't want to embarrass myself and B. don't want to seem creepy or give them any hint I like them. If I like somebody, here's my usual telltale signs:
1. I talk about them to other people. Granted, I don't always do this, but if I like someone generally speaking I'll talk to other people about them more often.
2. Like the video mentioned, I try to get time with them, except I do it in a much more reserved, strategic, and non-obvious way. I'll observe things like where they sit, where they walk, stuff like that and attempt to do the same. The difference is tho, I don't go out of my way. If I can't easily be with my crush without a lot of obvious effort, I won't, with obvious being the operative word there. If it's obvious I am putting in effort to be with my crush, I'm not gonna do it. That way I don't look like I'm stalking them.
3. I'm much more verbally reserved around them. I give out fewer compliments because it feels awkward, I tend not to directly address them very much, and I just generally become quieter.
4. I try to catch glances of them. This is something that some of my crushes have actually noticed me doing. I try to catch as many brief glances of them as possible, without any prolonged eye contact. In fact, I will generally avoid eye contact at all costs.

THE TIMING OF THIS VIDEO BRO IS UNREAL! Well there's this girl in class, I'm not really into her but I admire her coolness a lot not knowing she admires how cool I am too. One time we got close because we took an exam that we missed together and she told me that I was different from the rest of my classmates. Back when I was younger, I was seated next to this girl I liked since her previous seatmate was really loud. The moment I sat down the first thing that came to my mind was "Oh my- holy frick... don't screw this up. Make a first good impression"... ... we didn't talk that much that day. But every day after we started talking to each other more. It got to the point where I was more social around her. We were even brought to the same group for every science group activity and although I don't like leading because then they'll pay attention to _me_ , since I was grouped with her I was so much more active in helping her and the group, even to the point where if the group was too shy, both of us would take the lead and I'd feel more confident.
I think the best move I did was when she needed to walk to a loading/unloading zone for jeepneys and it was raining hard and she forgot her umbrella. Me, being the kind person I am (back then at least), told her to walk with me under my umbrella. I couldn't stop screaming in my mind. And even if it was cold, I was slightly sweating.
But that was years ago. She's in a different school and oh boy I'm glad since I am such a mess now and I wouldn't want her to see it. But what if... we were still in the same school, still friends, but maybe we'd talk to each other more and I wouldn't procastinate so much?

I'm proud of myself that I've come to a point in my life that this video is useful to me and realistically is likely to be applied.
I was interested into this girl. I first met her in my 1st year in my university, compared to my laxness in terms of school requirements and deadlines, she was the complete opposite of me and wanted a 90 (B+ to A for you Americans out there) for each subject. We originally met in a group project as these freshmen, barely knowing each other. You'd think that someone like me is very much wayyy out of her league, after all, in our class, she was the type of student that was always chosen to be the leading role. But, somehow, me (mind you, someone who throughout elementary was enrolled in an all-boys school with no prior interaction with women up to that point) after the project, we started chatting and talking to each other more and more for 1 year. Looking back at it now, she and I displayed these signs, and yet I never noticed because for all I'm geniunely just a nice and reliable person. After 1 year of this, it was Christmas celebration in our university and we both decided that we'd abandon our respective friend groups and meet up for the midnight performance of her favorite band. We were pretty nervous because we never really had a date or anything similar up to that point. At first, we were just standing, listening to the band. But as it went on, I built up courage to hold her hand, was pressuming that she'd rub it off and let go, but she didn't and never did. That hold eventually turned into a hug with her at the front and me at the back. Finally, just before the fireworks went up, I finally built up the courage to say "I love you", I was expecting her to just flatout reject and leave me there, but she said those 3 words as well as the fireworks went up. Those were and still are the happiest days of my life, one i'll never forget.
Edit: Lots of people be doubting my story. Just gonna say it now, no, I'm no clout chaser or even desperate for clout. no, this is not a lie, but it's a rough summary of my romantic journey, if I could send screenshots, I would, but obviously for privacy reasons (and because I don't have her consent since she ghosts me :(( and hasn't seen my messages since). And if you're wondering, yes we lasted a year, and as of now, we have broken up. If I were lying, I wouldn't admit the fact that we'd broken up, but no, I ain't even gonna lie for that. Hope this clears it up, and please stop replying assumptions as if I'm a random troll, I'm not into that sht anyway.
Edit 2: Quick update. Forgot this comment existed, but while I was in discord with my bois recently, I randomly get a reply to my message that I sent her from like a year ago. And I was having so many questions like "Why chat now when we're graduating?" or "Is this some hate message or something" but I digress. Turns out she wanted to reconcile on the hate I (and I wholeheartedly presume her) boiled over for about 1 year and we instigated some convo we hadn't done with each other for so long. We talked about our relationship, the cutesy and sorrowful moments, and that in the end, we were just plucky ol' sophomores that didn't know any better. And with that, we both finally got that massive chip we had for each other off of our chests. I suggested wanting to stay her friend and all, but she refused for now knowing our past. And I respected it and we haven't talked since. But hey, at least I got to experience the coveted "university sweetheart" story arc I never thought of experiencing in my entire life. Life is just weird ain't it?

Weird that this video is a new one while I'm dealing with feelings for my friend and co-worker. I've done the online dating thing and it's easy to get past when someone you don't know rejects you. However, if my friend who knows so much about me doesn't think of me in a romantic way, that rejection will feel more personal. My friend and I have had so many conversations telling our deepest secrets. Since we work together, I tried not to have romantic feelings. I'm used to liking someone and as you get to know them they turn out horrible. However, this person impresses me more and more and I'm at the point that I will soon share my feelings even if I have to quit my job. Im taking it slow with sharing my feelings because I haven't given too many intimate hints until now. We are both friendly people to everyone so I do get scared that maybe she just nice to everyone and maybe I'm not special. love how this was recommended today after i had a convo with my friends at school. we were talking about a video game which a guy nearby seemed to really love. he eavesdropped on our convo the whole day, listening to us describe one of our other friends who wasn't at school that day (and also previously had a crush on him!) about how she was obsessed with the game. he heard it all, although he was too shy to join in and talk with us.
