I’ve been waiting for a few years for somebody to come out with one of these. I got mine last week and it is more sturdy and stronger than I anticipated. Love the fix metal boot straps instead of constantly squatting down and fumbling around with straps and buckles and rubber bands. They don’t take up any platform hunting boot space at all. The 1000 pound pulldown pressure test video on their website is super impressive no bend, crack or break. Super easy to go around limbs. Can climb to any Heights you want. Easily clips to the back of your pack with bands, fully retracted pointing down. I sold my sticks, separate platform, unneeded, dump bags, and Lineman rope, and it paid for the stand.😊
I like the idea a lot, I personally hate my sticks. However I think the price point is just way off. I'm currently trying a 2TC. It's significantly less cost. I use my current platform and under 1 lbs of rope. So far, yes it's still on the slow side but not horrible. I haven't had the opportunity to try this climber. Maybe one day I will be able to, and it will completely blow me away. Unfortunately for now two tethers is just going to have to work.
It’s a good idea but it’s not practical. In order to climb you have to bring your knees towards your chest but when you sit in your saddle your body swings towards the tree and your knees hit the tree that’s why saddle hunters wear knee pads. So you have to push your knees out around the tree which then swings your body even closer to the tree which limits how much you can pull the climber up the tree. Not to mention how loud it was in just in the short climb you made. I’ve seen other guys climb with these and it looks super awkward and it’s noisy. Another tool yes but not a good option over sticks.
All you have to do is slide the tether up the tree as far as you can reach and then just push away from the tree and lift your legs. Crocs are not the best to use but big moves can be made climbing with this watch this videoua-cam.com/video/7w-mxPy9pvE/v-deo.htmlsi=6h1oVi-oWYA-MAGW
I use a climber almost exclusively. Never said it was complicated just said it’s not practical due to how awkward it is to climb with and how loud it is.

Are you anywhere near central ohio? You could try mine
What I want to know do that platform fold down flat so I can put it in a backpack
Not completely flat but still I. Transport mode it’s pretty thin. I will post a video of it soon on different ways to pack it in

I think it''s the greatest addition to saddle hunting since the saddle.
You obviously have never used a climber much at all. There is nothing difficult or complicated about this set up.

@@robertnorton3870 have you climbed with it? If you can be “quiet “ in a regular climber, then you can in this climber.
