New to the crew! Came over from Chris740 - Streamlight is it for me - besides a couple of SureFire X300 that are just never going to die, I have been running the 7A and TLR1 with rechargeable CR123s for years. Same cells from ARLO web cams - their Overall run time and standby times are less than the disposable counterparts, but i run them in pairs so a set is always G2G. and yes! Olight=Garbage 100% lol Cheers!

I would buy one going forward but replace the few 7a I have with one? Hell naa. Batteries are small and light. Odds of recharging in a bad situation or where there is no power is not happening. Battery banks will be saved for communication. Honestly I have passed the rechargeable hype on things like this,
I agree. No need to go out and replace my 7A lights. But the 7X isn't a downgrade either. The TLR-7 HL-X is now out as well. And that thing is a beast with very close to the same size.
What holster mods would you have to do get the holster for the 7x to fit the 7 hl-x light? I have a WTP OWB holster for the G19/7x and I have the G19/7hl-x?
If you could plug this thing in on your nightstand, it would make sense. But the rechargeable battery seems pretty lame. How often do you need to recharge this thing, if you have to take the light apart to do it? I might as well just swap it for a fresh stream light battery that I know is good. Normal batteries last a long time, unless you are larping in your house. I think I might change mine now that it has been a couple years The x doesn’t even come with the rechargeable battery lol. You have to buy it separately (learned that the hard way). So They are the same light out of the box, you can even swap the heads…

@Criptuhpher Based off my experience and the classes I teach. Olight by far has the highest failure rate. With the existence of Streamlight, there's never a reason to buy Olight. Just my two cents.

Never had any issues with streamlight. I have several. No sh#t, none of them have ever failed me. Just my experience.

Get rid of the WTP holsters first. That's the best holster mod you can do. Then go buy a quality holster made for the TLR-7 HLX.
