    I really like that you show the map and not just mention a list of place names like most other tubers do so thanks! You also don’t add any unnecessary embellishments (again, like most others do and it’s annoying) and get right to the point so I find your video very helpful and informative. Thank you !

    I (local) recommend to just stay a long time in the “Lagos de Palermo” it’s our Central Park 😅 There’s little boats you can rent, if you. like to run and you have some extra time you can do that too!!! The cementary of Chacarita is HUGE!!! And really beautiful… maybe not a must but really pretty. Gustavo Cerati (A great Argentinian musician is buried there and other great people too ♥️ A great shopping center in Alto Palermo and is in Avenida Santa Fe and slightly near all the parks!! Its the “border” of Recoleta and Palermo
    - Also, kinda near the Obelisco and the Colon (a guided tour is lovely) there is Av. Corrientes, and it is alive 24/7 lol!!! You can eat GREAT pizzas in places like Güerrin (the BEST ones for me)
    BUENOS AIRES is also really pet-friendly, gluten free-friendly ( i am celiac) vegan-friendly and just great, have an awesome time here 💓💓

    Great video! I'm going on holiday to Argentina from 17 March until 2 April: Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, and El Calafate. This will be my third visit to Argentina. However, my previous visits were a long time ago: mid 80's and early 90's. I am going to see if Argentina is a good country to retire to when I finally retire in '26. Besides the unstable currency, my greatest concern about Argentina is that I'm vegan. During my first visit to Argentina, I was a carnivore. On my second visit to Argentina in the early 90s, I was a vegetarian and did not find BA vegetarian-friendly at all. Hopefully, the vegan/vegetarian situation in BA at least has ameliorated in the last three decades.

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  Рік тому +1

      Thanks so much! That’s exciting, Buenos Aires would be a lovely place to retire in my opinion I loved it so much. I’m honestly not sure about the vegan situation, but I do think in general it would be a challenge since their cuisine is so meat-heavy. But fingers crossed on this trip you find a ton of vegan options!

      @spark_6710 Рік тому +1

      I guess you're already in Buenos Aires & all over in Argentina by now ! I am a vegetarian & been watching tons of videos of Argentina & googling a lot & learnt that they've got more vegans than the States !! And vegan friendly restaurants/ Cafe are everywhere in Argentina ,even in El Calafate !! I was once a vegan for 17 years & still eat lots of vegan foods mainly . I am planning to visit there in the near future with mom. I am super jealous that you're there right now !! I bet you're having a blast there !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷⚽️💞

      @@spark_6710 Visa pays the blue dollar rate. Mastercard doesn't. We're almost finished with my two-week holiday in Argentina: BA, Ushuaia, El Calafate, and back to BA. We were informed by our tour guide for the Recoleta Cemetary that Visa pays the blue dollar rate. We had to pay by card to enter the Recoleta Cemetary as they don't accept cash. I used my Visa card and discovered that I was only charged GBP 4.74 entrance fee to the Recoleta Cemetery. I then started to use my Visa card and discovered that I was getting an exchange rate of AR$340 to 1 US$. Which is not too different from the current blue rate of AR$380 to 1 US$. We found lots of vegan restaurants and most other restaurants have at least a vegetarian option. We did not starve during our Argentine holiday!

    Thanks for tips..we will be there for 6 days and for the first time I do not feel overwhelmed with what to do and the time it takes to enjoy the food, sights and sounds. Thanks once again. Quick question, when arriving at the international airport ..is it better to get a sim cards there at the airport( even though it is usually way more expensive) in order to be able to get a uber or cabyfi, and since we are coming from Germany, we will have some euros in cash with us just in case, but our main concern is getting to the Hotel in Palermo first and then to Western Union immediately after. Thanks for your help

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  Рік тому

      I’m so glad you found it helpful! I wouldn’t buy a sim in the airport since they’re overpriced. I would be sure to download Uber before you leave, and once you arrive keep your phone on airplane mode but connect to the airport WiFi to order the Uber. Then once you’re in Palermo you can go to western Union & get a local prepaid SIM card!

I actually met multiple people just because I lived in Palermo, so I’d randomly meet people in restaurants or bars since the area is filled with expats :)

    I was in Buenos Aires in March 2022. They had the weird thing going on that nowhere would sell the public transportation card, (they said no material!). I see that you have that card, can buy the cards easily now, I supposed. Can you recommend a few not-so-touristy spots? I have been to BA 2 times before but would love to check out some hidden gems, and some steak houses only locals know. Enjoy your travel.

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  Рік тому

      Ya you can easily find a public transportation card when I went- just find a Kiosko with a “Sube” sign out front! For some not-touristy spots, I really loved Parque Centenario (if you enjoy relaxing in parks, it was very local), I also really enjoyed shopping for books at Feria de Libros Plaza Italia! As for steak houses that only locals know about- I’m sorry I can’t help you out! I only know of Don Julio & Estillo Campo. Thanks, enjoy yours too :)
