I’ve owned my 2023 Colorado Trail Boss since new I’ve only put 4900 miles on it, I added 2024 Colorado ZR2 wheels, factory red front hooks, 430# torque flash, limo tint, hood struts, I get a lot of compliments, may not be a ZR2 but I payed it off in 6 month, I’ve never abused it once!
@@laundrieshanging9077 I was really hoping to get the 589 bumper but quite a few people have posted fitment issues on one of the Colorado facebook pages.
3:45. 4:31. 5:01. Omg I’m crying laughing. At this stuff Definitely a lot of deep conversations in this. Dear lord please bring Steve to the company by the end of the year full time. It has to happen. We need him ❤. I pray for that every day
I have a 2019 Tahoe LT and used the Lasfit to upgrade to LED headlights and tail lights, turn signals are way to difficult to take out but I can live with that!!
Such a great video, this truck is a 9/10. I have the At4 with a lift and 33s traded in my 2021 Zr2 for it. it looses 1 point because I wish GM put their twin turbo 3.0 in it to have more speed to fill the rally side of these trucks. Other than that such a capable truck and I don't think ill ever drive anything other than these trucks!
I'm pretty sure GM doesn't have a twin turbo 3.0. Ram has a twin turbo hurricane the 3.0 you might be thinking of is their Duramax. Which is a diesel and doesn't have twin turbos. That engine is too big and won't fit inside of the engine bay.
@@JMNovak1011they do, it’s the 3.0-liter LGY twin turbocharged V6 they have it in the CT5 V. produces 360 and 405 and I’m sure they could tune it for more very easily. :)
@sir4mam ahh .. I knew of the 3.6l but thought 3.0l was discontinued. Anyhow either one of those engines would most likely not fit due to design. And on top of that they would jump the price up by quite a bit. Being V6 engines with more material you also have twin turbos. You talking about taking an engine built for sedans and trying to re-engineer it to be reliable enough in a truck platform.... that was why the 2.7 was created the way it was The whole lower half of the engine is designed like a diesel. It was designed for reliability. I'm all about tuning and pushing performances as much as you can but in all actuality the engine is more than enough for a mid-size truck even when pushing it on the trails... it's not a 0-60 truck. But if you really wanted to you could easily get 400hp/500lbs with bolt on mods/tune.
I owned a 04 Colorado z71 and loved it. It was my first car and she was extremely reliable. I drove it until it blew the trans at 250k miles. I can’t say the Colorados after the 1st gen’s have had the same track record for reliability. Not to mention the prices are ridiculous. I’ve since moved onto Toyotas and currently have an FJ I’ve built out. Colorados have a special place in my heart but I’d only ever buy a 1st gen
I think they aren't buying because the price and people aren't sure on the longevity. Most people just want a good solid 30k truck that does truck stuff
I absolutely love the ZR2, and to be honest if the AT4X had different interior color options I would like it better than the ZR2 but the interior color of the AT4X just kills it for me.
Silverado 1500, integra, and daily a civic. I think I’m going to be buried in my Silverado since I don’t trust the new engines as far as I could throw one. I might consider a zr2 Colorado as a daily. I love the new styling.
Are u going to put some new suspension in it or are u okay with the multimatic factory suspension. I would love to see you do a video of you ripping it fast with some crazy suspension on it.
@@brockwhite9739 As a 2024 ZR2 owner, I like having manual passenger seat, i can move the seat back from driver side without getting out or reaching across to find the button. Not a major deal breaker for me.
2001 TRD Tacoma is what I own now, The new ZR2 styling looks great my worry is how reliable is engine and transmission,,,, could you share any feed back on its mechanical reliability or on anyone who has owned one in the last few years ?
I'm driving the same with 250k miles, was thinking about replacing it with a colorado but have the same longevity concerns. My coworker's colorado only has 46k miles and needs a new transmission.
@taylorhickman84 My Tacoma has over 315K on it, I upgraded suspension , but haven't had to touch anything else except normal wear stuff, brakes, filters , valve cover gaskets, plugs, T-belt .
the biggest drawback to all new vehicles is the TECH. bring it back to being a vehicle.....please! they dont need to be phones (which used to be phones) just not anymore.
New base or slightly optioned Zr2s around my area are selling for 46k-48k. Like the last generation the ZR2 is still the performance bargain in its class.
2024 black zr2. My first Colorado. Man do I love it. Thanks for the cool content

Thanks for the video. I will be honest, I haven’t watched a ton of your stuff but you always manage to make me laugh.
Picked up a used Desert Boss with 9k miles on it a few months ago. It's been fantastic. No mods yet, but I'm already starting to debate what to do.
