I've been a Chevy guy my whole life, I have owned four Silverado's and was looking to get the ZR2, but I was not a fan of the interior of the Chevy with the light grey and lime green piping. Made the truck look cheap. I went with the At4x and I couldn't be happier. Love the interior and all the features of this truck.
You are in luck my friend. We can add the exact same equipment to your current truck and make it an AT4Xsquared single or dual rear wheel we can do a 4-6” lift and 35-37” tires, warn 18k winch front and rear, and tune it for better fuel economy if you want. Can do all of that for $9-11k. The only other thing some people add that I completely see value in but pricing prevents most from installing; satellites. You have options for satellite tv, internet, etc. and it’s even available to your 2500 HD if you want it !! Satellites not available to owners of trucks with sunroofs.
@@BSnydr The AEV bumper is standard on the GMC 1500. It's a money grab on the 2500. Like the Bison package the AEV is basically weight too. Personally if you don't need the towing capacity buy the 1500 and put leveling kit and lift on the truck and save $20K vs the 2500 trucks
@@steveeckert8396 no, the HD AT4X is still about $10k more than a ZR2. You can add the Bison package to each though for about $10k. So you can get a ZR2 Bison for about the same price as a non-Bison AT4X.
Just purchased the 2025 GMC 3500 at4x and I have to say it's beat my expectations. Very happy with the design and features, retractable step in was must. Prepped for 5th wheel. Thunderstorm gray!
100k plus... RIDICULOUS !!! This truck for that price should have a million mile warranty, the absolute top of the line fully loaded bumber to bumper accessories. Leave it on the lot.... go buy a used truck and spend a fraction of the cost, whether you do it yourself or pay some one. You will have a far better truck... the only down fall is it's still a old truck. Problem is... both old and new .. today's insurance. One wrong hit, and the insurance company totals it no questions asked. Absolutely insane.
Just got my 2025 AT4X AEV is this shit! I compared it with the Bison and it definitely a way nicer interior on the GMC than the Chevy Bison and you can't get the massaging seats and I'm pretty sure the Bison isn't standard with Kicker audio in tailgate or electric steps. Btw in AZ at Royal GMC you get lifetime powertrain warranty at no additional charge. This was the only way I could justify paying a small house for a truck. These bastards will be sorry they sold it to me 900,000 miles later. lol
Aev is great if you do any off roading or work on a ranch or farm as if you keep it on pavement always you might look at the Denali ultimate for a more comfortable ride without sacrifice & the chevy shown here is a great truck for those that spend 85-90 % of the time on pavement & might do some light offroading or overlanding without completely breaking the bank both are great trucks depending on how you choose to use it
That textured paint is not like LineX beginner material. Its a soft fletching base coat covered in paint and it chips easily. I've got two of them and the black paint us siftv as hell and sucks.
I just picked up a 25, ZR2, with gas engine. Coming from a GMC I was a little bias towards the GMC but the 8-10k I saved made it worth it to get the ZR2. looks wise I say they're neck and neck, everything else is a wash. Can't go wrong with either.
@ My previous truck was a Sierra 1500 with the 5.3, I do residential HVAC for a living and work out of my truck so that played a lot into it. I live in CO and camp and hunt a lot and my camper is only 20’ long and only 4K pounds fully loaded. I’d have no use for a diesel honestly, I just needed the extra bed space and wanted something that’s great off-road. I’ve only owned the truck for a month or so so I’m still getting use to it but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the power. It’s different tho, with the 10 speed the power seems so linear. If you step on it, it don’t put you in your seat but the shifts are so smooth and it constantly pulls so in a sense it kinda feels like a diesel in a way. Before you know it you’re going 95. I feel like first gear seems pretty low so in town and stop and go traffic if you’re not smooth on the pedal it’s kinda jumpy but maybe that’s just me. The transmission feel is completely different than the old 6 speed that was in my Sierra so that’s probably the biggest thing to get use to. This is just a personal thought but I feel like this has engine is begging for some boost. A supercharger or turbos would probably do wonders for this engine trans combo. Sorry to ramble but those are some thoughts. Lol
Other differences between AT4X and AT4X AEV is you get the white trim on the seats and dash. You also have red stitching in the door and steering wheel on the AEV. The infotainment system in the AT4X AEV and ZR2 are different. The AEV is better quality.
The AEV Bison package is available for the Silverado and includes the AEV bumpers just like the GMC. The AEV package is a $9,100 option. To show the GMC with a $9,100 AEV option is not an apples to apples comparison. Add the cost of the AEV package to the Silverado and it’s a $96k truck not $87k.
Unless you do a side by side with the AEV Bison package for the Chevy this nothing more than an apples to oranges comparison...but both trucks look great in black
a true apples to apples comparison they're priced almost exactly the same. My 24 AT4X diesel with options MSRP was 96k with 5K discount i paid 91k. chevy dealer had a zr2 for 96k non bison edition. no power running boards, no massage seats.
Honestly I like the look of the trucks better when they’re not with steel bumpers that being said I do like the wheels and tires better from AEV and Bison
I have a 2500 zr2 bison the only difference is between the aev at4x and the zr2 bison are the massage seats , suede headliner ,different wheels, the lights on the fender flares. I couldn’t justify $12k for that stuff. Also the at4x reverse lights are trash. You can’t see anything while reversing.
I look at it this way. How many AEV's are there and will it depreciate as quickly versus a ZR2 since there are far fewer being built than even a regular AT4X? They are all badass trucks and they can do the job regardless of what you choose to get. I just love the truck overall and it's the most expensive truck I will ever own in my lifetime and it will probably be my last. I'm keeping this baby until I die 😂
The location for the trailer brake in the AT4x is stupid! They wasted all that storage space when they could've place it somewhere out of the way, like in the Chevy. The ZR2 center stack is much better and more spacious. Also, when your shifter is in D, your volume button is right behind it. Trying to reach it while you drive is a chore lol. You have to reach either under the shifter or over it. So stupid! The location for the drive mode and lighting controls is also terrible. You will constantly bump your knee on them! But that's on both Chevy and GMC. The infotainment center is slow, glitchy and it seems like it has a mind of its own lol. Bluetooth connection is hit and miss. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't, even if your phone has been previously paired with it. The problem is that it won't let you connect it while driving, so if you get going and your phone is not connected, forget about listening to your music or taking phone calls through your infotainment. You'll have to stop at a light or pull over in order to fix it. I don't know who designs these trucks, but I hope they start using some common sense with the next gens.
Where’s the front locker though! Also I cannot lie…… kind of in love with my LZ0 and I also have the L5P currently for sale. I think my perfect setup would be the ZR2 1500 with the LZ0 and the 2025 Z71 Tahoe with the LZ0…..changes daily 😂
Although it’s not an apple to apple comparison because the ZR2 doesn’t have the AEV package, the AT4X still wins in my opinion. And a suede headliner!
Message seats? Damn, mine only has massage seats. 😂
For about $5-6K more
Umm the zr2 does come with factory power running boards too if u order it that way
Are the seats the same, same comfort? Is there any more padding or comfort in the AT4x vs ZR2?
The ZR2 Bison doesn't have any different tires. Only different wheels, steel bumpers, full steel skids, and some AEV badging.
