Thanks to this video I just worked on my first SAK. I had a manager knife with a broken tool spring and I had a few other 58mm knives with the same problem. I opened them all up and used the parts to fix the manager. On my first attempt some tools didn’t have a good snap, I think I was too rough and bent some of the plates. I was able to take it apart and fix it though.
OMG ! It's ultra mega mini Champ ! LoL I'm really surprised you don't use a drill press, your master craftsman level dexterity is very impressive ! It's absolutely fascinating watching it all go together 👍
Have you ever thought of making a video of how you got on this journey on customizing swiss army knives? The obstacles along the way. Things of that nature. I'd be really interested in hearing how long you've been at this and what got you interested. How you learned which tools could work and how to modify them. Not to put anyone else down but you're arguably the best in this field. You clearly have a passion for this and you're attention to detail and willingness to keep pushing the boundaries makes your knives stand out. I hope to one day own one of yours myself but watching you makes me want to try and start to modify and customize one myself (something simple Lol)
I never thought about doing a video of that. I didn't really expect people to be really interested in my story. I'll definitely put some thought into it though. Maybe I'll do something like that. Glad that I may have inspired you to try your own modding. It's a great hobby!

@@FittoSurvive You should, you make useful tools. Victorinox has sold out completely on its 125 year anniversary clone of its original Swiss Army knife to excited collectors with too much money & too little sense for $500 and quite frankly its robbery at that price, I'm sure it will soon be or sale on eBay for more than $500 so your unique knife must be worth at least $1K
The thing is (according to Jon Gadget youtube channel) that the Victorinox precision blade was originally a scalpel, Mini champ orange peeler was a pill box opener and the Cuticle pusher actually was pill separator and medical formula shovel. They all derived from the medical Victorinox that was discontinued long time ago.

I liked how you made the saw, the scalpel blade and also the red scales but for portability I like a classic or signature/lite just fine though I have a midnight manager etc also. Still a nice job you made of it.
Amazing work to figure out, which tools fit together where, lots of customisations. In the end you built a small but chunky knife with a lot of options, yet some redundancies (2 orange peelers, two flatheads of almost same size, two combo tools). Would like to see your saw in action.
