I showed your channel to a mechanical engineer friend of mine and his first words were, "this man is a genius." "He not only thinks of incredible things to do but he carries them out." I'm spreading the word Felix. Respect from Florida USA and Beyond
Thank you so much dear Richard!!! Your words makes me happy!!
Felix Immler Macgyver
As a Mechanical Engineer I also agree.

Victorinox should have hired this great man long ago.
Thanks lot for this wonderful compliment!
Felix, I've watched several of your videos. There seems to be a common thread between them. Whenever you learn something from someone else, you cite them, acknowledge the idea and the name of the person you've learned from. I find this so admirable. This is the behavior of an honorable man. And I think people should recognize this about you. Thank you for setting a good example.
Another great thing about a Felix Immler video: The ingenuity of his ideas and add-ons can be applied to other applications such as adding this LED setup to almost anything.
This is a Great idea. Thanks a lot!
i met a young felix fan in london the kid was maltese, he was already carving stuff from wood.
it was great to see how the spirit is alive and kicking spurned by people like felix and this kid.
bravo sir
Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback!
👍🥸 I made those flashlights from Soviet Union batteries in 80-s, but than I was using the "native" knives, but since I was 8, I don't remember myself without no knife in my pocket! See you, Felix! Have a great weekend, thank you for doing my day now! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🇨🇭
Ohhh so cool. Thanks a lot for this wonderful story!!
This is one of your best mods ever, Felix! Much like a bright LED, BRILLIANT!!
Thank you so much!!
Absolutely superb modification...to be able to add a light source within a SAK would enhance the sole need to only ever have your SAK as your most essential EDC for everyday survival. Pure genius again from you Felix. Thank you sir 🙏
Thank you so much!!!
I didn't know a LED would work without a resister.
Great idea Felix
Hello Clinton. Thank you very much!!
Not only is your channel educational. It is very entertaining. Keep them coming brother.
This compliment makes me happy!!
I love how Felix seems to own every single product Victorinox makes
Thank you very much!!
Totally Illuminating...
😂 Thanks a lot Mark!
Thank you for posting this in the SAKs Exclusively group - we really appreciate all you do for the SAK world my friend. Blessing and peace to you and your family my friend, Simon Jones 🇬🇧👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hello Simon. Your comment makes me happy! Thank you!
Victorinox needs to sell plus plus scales with this feature!
I can’t believe he keeps coming up with still more ideas!
Thanks a lot Jim!!
Es lässt mich jedes Mal mit offenem Mund und großen Augen Erstaunen, was Du aus dem Teil noch alles rauskitzelst...😮 Mega!!
Dir und deinen Lieben ein frohes Osterfest!
Vielen herzlichen Dank!!
Hidden button led light, amazing! Great trick as always, the soundtrack is also nice to listen to. Cheers!
This guy has no end to his ideas and surprises! Another awesome video and cool DIY!!! 👍
Thank you so much for this wonderful compliment!
thanks Felix for this video ! you're going to make victorinox jealous! it's crazy that they never thought of marketing a knife scale with a LED ! I would have liked to have had a test of the lighting of the LED in the dark to really realize its effectiveness!
You are right... Thanks for your feedback!
Ahhhh, if you do both the toothpick and rear opening for the flashlight, regardless of which "side" tools you use (big knife or small knife side), you will always have an in-line light for close up work or for working inside something (like a computer). 👍
Right.... Thank you my friend
A high tech Swiss Army knife times they are a changing. Lovely job Felix.
Thanks a lot Steve!!
Felix, you are an absolute legend! Your ideas are all brilliant! Love you informative videos🇿🇦
Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback!!!
Umm...this is literally genius!! Omg I love it!
Thank you so much my friend!!!
What a great idea! Thank you for sharing.
I often make such little lights for the children to play with so that I'm not as bothered when they get lost. I usually carry at least two lights with me other than my phone (and it's saved my hide more than once) but I'll probably order a new set of scales just for the fun of building it. One thing I've found with making them as "keyring lights" is that it matters a great deal what electrical tape you use, my preference is 3M Super 33+ and at 5-10× the cost it's still worth it.
I can also imagine that with an angled slider and a slot cut into the scale it could be switched-on but that would significant increase the risk of it being drained in your pockets.
Thanks a lot for your interesting feedback!!
There is a before and after in the modification of vicorinox since you appeared.
Best to you!
Thank you very much!!
Really great work, simple, very few parts to fail and a very useful function. I'm deeply impressed!
Vielen Dank lieber Marcel!!
Another home-run Felix. Things like this make me wonder what the engineers at Victorinox are doing. This mod would cost pennies (or centimes) to add to the manufacturing process. Same as angled tweezers in the “secret” slot on plus scales. Such great tools, but their innovation is lacking.
Thank you very much for your wonderful compliment!
Nice and simple approach. Thanks Felix.
Thank you very much!
That's a really cool application! What an amazing way to be able to add a 100-hour light to an already useful tool! Thanks so much my friend for this ingenious idea!
Thank you so much my friend for your super kind comment!
Great job Felix! I was just chatting with someone about other options for the hidden slot and couldn’t think of anything, now you’ve shown a solution.
Super...that makes me happy!
Fantastic! Another great addition. Thanks for making Friday interesting and fun.
Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback!!!
Absolutely taking it to the next level Mr.Felix! It's always a pleasure seeing your smiling face! Your ideas are fan-frickin-tastic as always and that 100 hour light that can help you in a literal "Pinch" I love this one Mr.Felix! Thanks for sharing your tricks! Stay awesome, safe and blessed my friend and so we will see you next week! Cheers, Kimmers and Jerbs 🇨🇭🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
Hello you two!👍🏼 Thank you so much for your kind words!! I wish you wonderful eastern!
Thank you Felix for an excellent video! I've been carrying a small button-led on the key-chain rf my 91 mm. Compact, but this is a much more elegant solution. Can't wait to start modding!
Thank you so much for this compliment!
Another genius clip!
Hate to see the toothpick go. I can’t live without the toothpick or tweezers! Love them.
I like the way you think! Thank you for being so pleasant & putting a smile on my face with something I plan on doing soon. Keep the videos coming 😊
as someone who spent last month 300 euros on 2 (samemodel) flashlights, i can say this is way better!
Thank you christi
Great!
Thank you.
Greetings from the Czech Republic from Pilsen ☺
Thanks a lot for visiting my channel!
WOW this is going to be very handy when I want a quick light, and I have a Hunter as it's so useful as it can be squirreled away into my op's jacket pocket. Many thanks Felix, and happy Easter! Much love in friendship, Wendi 🌻
Thank you Wendi. I wish you happy eastern too!
Felix, you're the man! Thanks for showing me how to put a flashlight in my Victorinox .I 'll be starting the projects very soon.
Great mod! Following your how-to video I was able to add an LED lite to my Compact! Thank you Felix
Felix, I don't think it is mentioned enough, but we very much appreciate that you make these videos in English. Danke.
Felix, you are a Genius!!!!
👏Апплодирую стоя! Великолепно! Спасибо, Феликс, за идею! Сделаю себе такой же апгрейд. Всегда рад вас видеть!
Hello Serge. Thank you so much for your kind comment!
Felix you've done it again ! You are the best !!!
Thanks a lot for this wonderful compliment!
Your passion for your craft is impressive and fun to watch. Tha k you Felix from California, USA.
Thank you very much for this wonderful roses!
Buddy says he doesn't get the ohms and whatnot. But he engineered a light from parts and bucket of elbow grease. As an Electrician and electronics tech, I'll say you're gonna be just fine without that knowledge, my impressive friend!!!
Thank you for the incredible idea! You're videos are very enjoyable and you clearly love Swiss army knives as much as we do. Thank you, Felix Bench Engineering God!
Thank you so much for this wonderful words!!!!!
@@FelixImmler You're welcome! You've been an even brighter light for many during the pandemic. You're reminding them, they can survive and especially with Your imaginative tips and tricks. Thank you again! Happy Easter from the US!
Awesome idea! If you have an old TV or similar remote that's not working anymore, you could cut out the rubber dome membrane from one of the buttons and place it directly on the battery with the LED contact poked through the side of the dome. I tried to fix an old Roku remote a few weeks ago, and seeing it this video now I can understand how ingenious the rubber dome membrane is in cheap remotes.
Felix, fantastisch! One of my favorite modifications you've done.
Thanks a lot Sebastian!
Kudos again! God bless you and your family. Cheers from New Orleans
Thank you very much!
very nice work for sure, I wonder if there was a possibility to have a door on the side of the scale so we could replace the battery without having to remove the scales.🇨🇭🇬🇷🔦
Hello Nikos. That is a super idea! May be you have an idea. Make a video about...
I would watch that video. 🚪 🔪 🔦 battery 🪫
Me encanta cuando este tío dice "jhelou yutú"..eres el mejor!!!
Salud.
Salut Jaume. Muchas gracias!
Mensch Felix, wo nimmst Du nur diese ganzen Ideen her? Neben dir komme ich mir so unglaublich beschränkt vor. 😉
What an awesome idea! With a rubber band you don't have to push the scale, so I think it could be a kind of an "on" switch. The disadvantage of the rubber band around a Swiss Army Knife is that it's make time consuming to open the tools. So I'm still thinking about a micro on/off switch. As soon as I'll find the solution I'll let you know!
Swiss ingenuity, no wonder your country is so rich 😊👍
Thanks for your kind feedback!
Ach Felix, du bist und bleibst mein Taschen- äh Sackmesser-Gott! Wo du nur immer deine Ideen herholst…
Frohe Ostern!
Herzlichen Dank! das wünsche ich Dir auch!
Nice job Felix
Thank you very much!

Great mod and EXCELLENT music 👍😆

Great video, Felix! You are great, brother!
Another great invention from Felix.
Thanks a lot!!
One of your best Mr.Felix! You sir are a blessing!
Thank you so much my friend!!
Again, another genius invention again. 😮
After seeing how precise you are, I'll be glueing one of these to the outside of my SAK scales, haha.
Yes, this is the simple solution! :-D
Seu canal nunca decepciona. Parabéns
muito obrigado!!
Este es uno de los mejores trucos que has hecho, bravo Félix, 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Gracias!!!!
This led & battery is also a good compact light for a small edc/survival tin 👍
Excellent, outstanding.
Thanks a lot!
Felix; you keep coming up with great mods. Good on ya.
Thanks a lot Stephen!
Brilliant! I am going to try this.
Have you ever thought about stripping the paint off a set of Silvertech scales and filling them with glow in the dark resin? I have seen it done, and it is cool!
Yes.. i tried this out. not sure if i make a video about. But thanks a lot for your hint!
Felix is the equivalent to a Khyber Pass gunsmith, amazing ingenuity.
Thank you very much!!
goodmorning, I will thamk you for all the great tips how to use the swiss knife! dank je wel! kind regards from The netherlands ( Die Niederlanden)
Thank you very much for watching my videos!!!
Hallo Felix, der Trick mit der LED ist mehr als genial! Frohe Ostern und LG Micha
Wünsche ich dir auch..danke!
Outstanding. Great idea Felix. Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea. I'm wondering though, if you could maybe make this so it can stay ON without being pushed, so it can maybe be used as an overhead light in a tent or something??? You know better than me, of course, but do you think it is possible to maybe drill a small hole crossways in the scale, so a pin or needle can be inserted and force the LED wire to stay in contact with the battery until the pin is removed??? Maybe have to add a small hole for a storage place for the pin, unless you have a knife that comes with the pin already. Just a thought here, because having both momentary on, and constant on would be nice. Keep up the great work.
Thanks a lot for your super interesting idea! I agree100%
My brother and I built these mini lights in the early 70’s, we used to make lots of electronic gizmo’s I’ve been searching for some 3mm square (I want to shape to fit a standard slot) LEDs of various colours, also 2hz flasher in red (that would be 2 flashes per sec, in red that would be a great rescue signal) if they are shaped right they would be hot swappable ie change from normal white led, to red LED for night vision (old Army habit use defused colours to preserve night vision) or a red flasher as a rescue beacon.
Just checked online for the electronic component shop we used to go to every week as kids, it’s still there !! R F Potts in Derby, I live miles away now, looks like they might do online ordering!!
Thank you so much for this wonderful story!!
Hi Felix!!! Long time no see!!! My fault I guess… I was sitting here and thinking, I haven’t seen Felix upload any new videos in over a month! I wonder what's going on… so, I went To my subscriptions tab and scrolled down… YOUR CHANNEL WAS NOT THERE!!!!! So, I went to your channel and looked… sure enough, I had been unsubscribed from your channel… this has been happening to me more and more here in the past couple of months… well, I resubscribed and went to check to see what I had missed… I’m all caught up now!!!!! This was such a great idea to add a little LED light to our SAKs!!!! I may have to make this litt adjustment!!! Thanks for the great idea!!!
Wow you’re amazing, absolutely you are a sak genius sir feix 🎉
Fantastic job Felix 👏
Thank you!
This is amazing. I can't wait to try it out. Thanks!
Another AWESOME MOD by the GOAT of SAK!!!!
Excellent Work !!
Thanks a lot Johnny!

Thanks a lot for watching!!
Hallo Felix, ich bin immer wieder begeistert, auf was du alles kommst. Echt super gemacht!👍👍👍 Vielen Dank für's Zeigen und LG aus Wels nach St. Gallen!
Herzlichen Dank mein lieber Freund!!!! Grüsse nach Wels!
Food for thought. I have 3D printer and printed my own plus scale. One could even create scale just for this purpose. If/when I get some spare time I might try it.
Please let me know if you are sucessful
@@FelixImmler I will, might be interesting project
O that's great! Although the simplicity of the switch is to be admired,,,, at risk of over complicating a brilliant idea, it could be enhanced with it repeating mode, which could have some life saving features on a dark mountain incident,,, maybe,, anyway loving your creative mod
Thanks a lot for your constructive feedback!
That is such a cool idea...! Thanks again!
Thanks a lot Chris!
Awesome idea, Felix! Thanks for sharing it 🙏
Thank you very much!!!
So bright and so cool, Felix!
