I would like to know if this stereo can be used with any remote control, thanks in advance for your response
My 8200 came with a wireless remote.
I have a avic7200. How do i keep the home screen up. After about a minute it will go to maps, bluetooth, pandora which ever 1 i was using last.
I'm not aware of a way to keep the home screen in place. Normal operation for the Pioneer AVIC-7200NEX is to revert to the active source screen after a set period of inactivity. I have a AVIC W6500 NEX. How do I change my current password to a new one?
You must enter the current password in order to change the password to a new one. If you don't know the current password for the in-dash receiver, I recommend to contact Pioneer Customer Service in the US here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support or by calling in the US 1-800-421-1404. If you have the current password, it's very easy to change to a new password. You can find detailed instructions to change to a new password on page 156 of the Owner's Manual. Is there a way to adjust my steering wheel controls? Currently the commands are misplaced.
What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? If your Pioneer in-dash receiver has a microprocessor reset button, I recommend to press it to reset the microprocessor. This may correct the issue. Pioneer receivers designed for the North American region require a 3rd party adapter to use the vehicle's steering wheel controls. Many adapters are available. Here is one example: www.metraonline.com/part/AXSWC The adapter plugs into the back of the in-dash receiver. You can see it in this Pioneer unboxing video: ua-cam.com/video/ytUlUsi15Uc/v-deo.html Typically, a steering wheel control adapter like this, is programmed at the time the in-dash receiver is installed. There are no settings on the receiver to set up a steering wheel control adapter. The adapter may require a firmware update or different programming. When my mom turns off her truck none of the setting save it resets
If the settings are lost each time you turn off the vehicle the installation may be incorrect. Check the yellow wire on the installation. It should have constant power. Check out this video for more information: ua-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/v-deo.html
We have to keep turning on all the settings and put in the password every time
Those settings are only available if you have the iDatalink Maestro.

What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? You'll need to have a phone connected to the in-dash receiver through Bluetooth before the Bluetooth Source is available. @@joliegenesis5136 Are you using and iPhone? Is the iPhone plugged into the receiver through USB? I recommend to press the receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX on the hard key panel to the far right beside eject. There is a firmware update available for the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. I recommend to install the firmware update via SD card or USB. You can find the firmware update here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/NEX/AVH-4100NEX#downloads
@@pioneerelectronics I’ve installed the firmware update already and i use the USB to connect to the Apple CarPlay but nothing that I play on my phone plays on the Carplay except for apple maps.
