    doing an engine swap into a much older vehicle. What are the required parameters for the obd2 adapter to operate? The donor vehicle was a 2001 vw jetta tdi with can hi and can low.

      This may be possible, but I'm not sure this will work with a 2001 VW. I recommend to contact iDatalink for more detailed information. Please note: in order to see the gauges on the in-dash receiver screen and use the OBD II port for this data, you must use the add-on iDatalink Maestro RR. This part is sold separately and adds on to the Pioneer receiver. Additionally, the vehicle must be supported by Maestro RR. Please be certain the 2001 VW is supported. You may need to contact Maestro for additional support. Is this the only interface I need for a 06 Cadillac DTS or do I need the PAC interface too?

    • @deckerdotto6035

      I recommend to check the Maestro RR website for support for your particular vehicle. You can find it here: maestro.idatalink.com/ This will likely be the only interface you'll need for the in-dash receiver. If you are talking about On Star or an OEM amplifier interface, other products may be required. You can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

    I have an AVIC-W8500NEX w/Maestro RR. I did not use the OBDII plug but the gauges still work on my 2019 Toyota Tundra. Is the OBD already hardwired in?

      It sounds like you used the TOY-02 T-Harness with Maestro RR. This wire harness will transfer selected data from the vehicle to the Maestro RR interface for display on the Pioneer in-Dash receiver. I wanted to ask the same question about the AVH-2330NEX. So just to confirm, the 2330NEX will show TPMS, Door open, etc (ALL features shown in the video) IF your car is compatible? I know there is a way to check at idatalink, but my harness (for a Subaru) is going to be coming out in about a month, so I can't check it on the compatibility page at idatalink yet.
    I want to buy my stereo now (it's on sale) and then wait to do the install until my harness comes out. THANKS!!!!

      As you noted above, Maestro RR is very largely about your compatibility with your vehicle. Here is a video of AVH-2330NEX with Maestro RR simulator connected: ua-cam.com/video/GX8bETHjZkg/v-deo.html

      I'm installing the AVH-4200 NEX in my 2011 f150. I have the idatalink kit but when I turn on the pioneer radio, I don't have any steering wheel controls and my sync isn't working and I can't access any of the car features through the radio. Radio powers up normal and radio works and my phone can connect through Bluetooth. I followed the vague instructions as best as I can. Can you help me figure out what's my error

      Contact idatalink for support on the idatalink maestro RR. Is your vehicle supported by maestro RR? When you used your computer to flash the maestro RR did you choose to have the data carried by the 4 pin plug or the steering wheel control plug? Did you choose to retain the car features including Bluetooth? You can find more videos about AVH-4200NEX in this playlist: ua-cam.com/video/vNHEvsZ5JKc/v-deo.html

      The Pioneer AVH-2440NEX has the necessary port on back to use the idatalink Maestro RR. You can see the port in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Yx45-NGqz2o/v-deo.html Will it work is dependent upon your particular vehicle. I see that idatalink maestro pairs with a AVH-1700s what about the AVH-X1800s ? I want to integrate my AVH-x1800s with my 2015 Infiniti q40 with idatalink maestro so I won’t lose my climate controls and other important info. Thanks

      Maestro RR does not work with AVH-X1800S. There is no port for Maestro RR. You can see the back of AVH-X1800S here: ua-cam.com/video/WzlFrJ9RsJ8/v-deo.html I recommend to check with iDatalink Maestro RR web site to be sure your vehicle is supported. I don’t know what to do.. even if I purchase a compatible HU I guess I’m not guaranteed to have it working since my vehicle year and model is not listed on their site... thanks for your time 🙏💯

    Why is my climate control and parking assist not showing up in my Pioneer DMH-1500NEX for Toyota Corolla 2015?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 роки тому

      Did you install the Maestro RR in the vehicle with the receiver? Did you flash the maestro RR with the proper vehicle data before installation?
      The Pioneer DMH-1500NEX is capable of showing on-screen climate controls for vehicles that had on-screen climate controls before replacing the receiver. The Maestro RR and Pioneer receiver does not give you on screen climate control if the vehicle has hard button climate controls. If the climate controls on your 2015 Corolla are hard button controls just below the in-dash receiver, they should still be working. The Pioneer DMH-W1500NEX has nothing to do with them. You can switch on Parking assist guidelines in the Pioneer DMH-1500NEX. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/WY0GLsC3AxE/v-deo.html You can find more videos about Pioneer NEX in-dash receivers here: ua-cam.com/video/ObpKXwrN8us/v-deo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

      Deckerd Otto Thank you for the quick reply. I did install it correctly in the Toyota Corolla LE 2015 and flashed the correct firmware to the iData Maestro RR. I got to learn from an online source that climate control integration was with the OEM head unit. I just wanted to get my stereo head unit install completed with my Toyota Corolla LE 2015.

    The gauges look like they're very laggy.. Are they?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 роки тому +2

      In this video, you are viewing a simulation of what the product will do, when actually installed in a vehicle. It's not connected to a vehicle for this video. The in-dash receiver displays digital data delivered through the idatalink Maestro RR box being read through the OBD II port from the vehicle. In many cases, the gauges can be customized based upon the data available through the vehicle buss. Each vehicle is different. Not all gauges are available on all vehicles. Minimum and maximum range settings for many gauges are available, again depending upon the individual vehicle. Even though you may be seeing a video representation of a needle pointing to a number on the display screen, this is not an analog display. It's a digital display. Please note: What may appear to you to be lag in the display, may be a digital display updating to it's next displayable increment. On a gauge set up with a with a wide minimum to maximum range, the digital display increments will be large and may make the needle appear to jump from one reading to the next reading. Why doesn't the 8000 or 8200 have this support? Seriously. They aren't that old. Pioneer doesn't like to update or support old units at all.

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 5 років тому

      You are incorrect. The 8200NEX is the radio that's shown in the video above. The Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX is listed in the video above as one of the in-dash receivers supported by Maestro RR. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/vzNd_BRzAQc/v-deo.html The Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX also supports Maestro RR. The 8000NEX is not included in the video above because the onscreen operation is slightly different that what is show in the video above. The Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX was introduced in 2014 and is still being updated by Pioneer as of late 2018. Please be sure to update the Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX with the latest firmware. The Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX is capable of displaying tire pressure, and open door, battery voltage, in the vehicle information screen displayed when using the Maestro RR or RR2 when it's connected to the OBD-II port on the vehicle. You need to flash the Maestro RR memory with the proper vehicle, and the proper in-dash receiver. Please be sure Maestro supports that information on your particular vehicle.
