It has a plastic mount right? Do those tend to fail or break often? Edit: After looking around the internet i found plastic or metal mounts make no difference for the lens failure rate, if anything plastic ones are easier to replace when they do fail and don't damage other components.

Probably Autofocus because those flying birds cannot be captured in MF.
