Excellent video as always. Total amateur just trying to get to grips. Had an issue with focusing the other day, lens struggling to focus. Think it might have been because I had it set on continuos focus (was photographing watersports), then a little bird landed just a little away from me and it just could not get focused. I thought I might have been too close, (70-300mm lens), but listening to your description, I feel it was the settings. Thanks again. Keep these brilliant videos coming, they are appreciated.

Awesome video. Easy to follow, not bogged down in technical terminology.
I took it and learned so much. The best part about it is that he showed how to located the settings on a Canon camera which I have. Also he used other models which had the same settings. I hope he does more videos as I have seen most of them.

I am not new to photography but your video helped explain some aspects of focusing I didn’t fully appreciate. It was great to see a Fujifilm camera used too. It has quite complex focusing features that I am sure many don’t fully understand, eg wide tracking, expanding single point boxes/zones, etc, so can I suggest another video tutorial on those please.

On a tripod,centre column near fully raised, sharp image...sometimes...I will use one of my cameras 128 cross type focus points placed exactly where I want critical focus rather than focus and recompose which to me hails back to the days of 9 focus points on my old Canon , focus peaking for Manual focus.

I think i'll b a best photographer, cause i just recieving my 1st dslr on monday i hope,before order i saw many beginner videos for not more than 6 days,but now i already guess the settings n operations of all these questions pretty much sure.. Im very happy that i'll not take days to operate machine very well n choose next lenses correctly according to my step up.. Well learnt alot from u too with a few videos
