Because I like street photography,,,and in the street is a little bit danger if we should find " a model released" and some other permits.

Wow, those giving thumbs down must be super duper photographer, which begs the question as to why they would need advice...
Excellent video as always. Total amateur just trying to get to grips. Had an issue with focusing the other day, lens struggling to focus. Think it might have been because I had it set on continuos focus (was photographing watersports), then a little bird landed just a little away from me and it just could not get focused. I thought I might have been too close, (70-300mm lens), but listening to your description, I feel it was the settings. Thanks again. Keep these brilliant videos coming, they are appreciated.

Dear Mark, your Training Videos are excellent - clear English, shot & sweet explanations of the techniques. Your explanation on AF-C, Half Press and Hold the Shutter to Focus, Recompose and Press the Button all the way down, on a Tripod, will in MOST cases result in an UN-SHARP Photo for most Amateurs with a DSLR. WHY? A) The Act of Moving the Camera on a Tripod WILL cause a very slight Focus change or shift, B) which is compounded when you Press the Shutter Down Fully to take the picture - Camera Shake as your finger presses the Shutter Button, and C) Shake due to Mirror Clap. SOLUTION: Use a cable release or Remote Control with Mirror Lock Up when the Camera is on a Tripod. Also TURN OFF SR or VR when using a TRIPOD. I am certain DSLR Photographers will choose a Higher Shutter Speed given that ambient Lighting conditions are OK. Hope this will help Amateurs.

Just watched your video on different types of focusing. Really enjoy your teaching style. Question. I have a Canon 60D with a 16-300 Tamron as a walkaround lens. Recently it seems images are a little soft. I don't like the AF on this camera and it doesn't have the best reputation for focusing. So my question is do you have any videos or suggestions for hand held manual focusing. I'm probably not as steady as I once was as I am 74 now. So any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Son and I are headed out to Dubling and Belfast in a couple of weeks and will not be taking a tripod. Might give a couple of bean bags a shot to see how they work. Like your videos.

Hi Gary, we do have a dedicated lesson on Manual Focusing. However, that lesson is part of our full Digital Camera Mastery course. You are welcome to join and learn all the basics of your camera. Here's the link if you would like to review it: photpro.to/dcm-s. But you are also able to find videos on manual focusing here on UA-cam. Here's the link to a video that may be of help: ua-cam.com/video/fiL7qlOi09I/v-deo.html. We wish you safe travels!
