Huge congratulations to Game Mill for having 3 of their games featured in this list! What an honor.

I actually witnessed someone purchasing Rise of Kong at Best Buy and felt an unbelievable sadness.

I love that the only reason GameMill didn’t shut down like the studios that made Gollum and The Day Before is that GameMill never put in enough time, money, or effort to feel shame in the first place. They know what they are, and they’re not going anywhere.

How GameMill hasn't gone bankrupt by this point is simply an enigma.

i'd like to see gamemill just go completely dark for a couple of years and then all of a sudden drop a game of the year quality release. would be one of the most memorable things in gaming in a while

  • @GreenCorgiQueen

The fact we had games like Gollum versus Baldurs Gate in the same year is INSANE

  • @J.A.P-0

This was in fact, a year for gaming

What's crazy is that GameMIll has also published BOTH Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl games, which although they were flops still reviewed fairly well as Smash-esque fighting games. It seems GameMill's biggest problem is that they will literally accept any developer to make their games since their priority is just to pump out recognizable IPs as fast as possible. All-Star Brawl HAS to be the only reason that they're still in business, otherwise there's absolutely some sort of conspiracy/fraud going on there somewhere.

The fact that the publisher of Big Rigs is still alive and well and publishes 3 of the worst games in one year is nothing short of impressive. Seriously, who's funding them?

  • @anonymousdratini

The fact that there were not one, not two, but THREE $50 shovelware games from the same studio this year is astounding.

There needs to be a “raspberry” game awards ceremony where awards are presented to the worst games of the year in various categories. (worst story, worst gameplay, worst overall, etc.) It would be interesting to see the razzies come to gaming.

It's absolutely amazing that GameMill have created not one, but all three bad licensed games that came out in 2023. It's like a record for these guys.

Just wanted to give my thanks and congratulations to GameMill. A very lofty achievement and a title well deserved. Also thanks to GameMill's families for sacrificing and allowing their loved ones to spend at least 4 hours a month to work on these valuable games. Paraphrasing Neil Young by way of Kurt Cobain "It's better to burn out than fade away" 🙌🏻👏🏻🔥

I think the worst part is knowing that Gollum was one moderately awful game that closed down a good studio. You can see that they tried, they just didn't know what they were doing with that kind of game and fell short of the mark. But they HAVE made good games and could have continued to do so.

I can’t even fathom why any IP, especially ones with massive fanbases like AtLA or TWD, would ever let GameMill anywhere NEAR their IP given their track record.

  • @MovieReviewGuyOfficial

Dang, its hard to believe that a single year could prove to simultaneously be both one of the greatest and worst years for games.
