This is a great model, a couple of things though tempered glass is a must, and easy difficulty also means lighter storms. Interior wood is decorative. A wodden roof with horizontal posts do better in lighting. I tend to start with a 2x6 with two horizontal post on the peaks. This is well thought out test. I am impressed. I have been wanting to do something like this but just have not had the time. Well done sir
Thanks for showing off building in Icarus. I always like to see others' build ideas to add to my own. Please record your voice much louder. I feel as if I should turn down your voice instead of turning up my audio to hear you.
That's a good question. Maybe I'll head down there and see if I can get "lucky" and have a flash storm come along. You should check out my "Fire" video, it has a taste of that answer 🙂.
Curious. My wood house needed me to stay inside to fix it or storage boxs would break. Stone use to be immune on olympus but it still takes small damage. Very weird
it's sad i played this game too much recently i think i know where on the map you are :( lol. i believe on the bottom right biome near the center lake with the river attached to it.
Concreted and Wood looks good. However the durability and Weather Resistance is also a factor. Thanks for the vid. (Your voice is a bit too low for me).
I think if they made aluminium look more modern. “Panelled” look. It would be a lot better. It’s weak, expensive in both time and resources. Arguably more then concrete. Seeing as you have to make a mixer and a Oven for the aluminium, just to make a crap tin shed.
I agree completely! I saw something in the recent release notes that they have upped the stats on aluminum to match stone, which presumably is an improvement. I haven't tested this yet but maybe it's worthwhile now for a light shelter when traveling. Will need to test it.
This a really cool way to show all of the different building styles in Icarus!
Thanks!

I just wonder between the aluminum and concrete which one should I choose. The concrete definitely looks better, I'll go with that. Great video!
In the stronger storms I've had real damage on the aluminum roof pieces. Concrete is the way to go if you want it to be weather-proof.

I've been working on improving the quality of both audio and video. My newer videos are a bit better but I'm still working on it too :)
Cool vid, nice comparison. Shame that the planks didn't hold up, love the look of that house.
great video .... loving this game so much
Glad you enjoy it!
Nice demo, I wonder how they would compare in a lightning storm?

I'm working on the audio, should be better soon :)
great content, your mic has an echo though
Thanks! I'm working on better audio and smoother video. Hopefully in the next couple videos you see a big improvement.
Very good test
Thank you!
16:16 shows the damage results caused by weather

tempered glass is the same as stone
