Passive aggressiveness is when someone makes snarky comments in an attempt to annoy you without making it outright mean enough for you to legit get angry at it. It's so that they can have plausible deniability if you clap back. Jordan is just directly hostile but he will say these things in the most calm and soft spoken manner that you don't know how to react lmao

Are you suggesting that it's even possible to have a normal conversation with Jordan? I'm a minute into this video and the simple act of talking about what was their first on-screen collaboration, has turned into a theoretical debate over _what counts_ as a first collaboration.
Conan hit the nail on the head with the court analogy. It's not that Jordan feels like a robot, it's the fact that he's always trying to speak like he knows anything he says may be used against him in a court of law.

Jordan Schlansky: Will never flat-out say Yes or No, will never confirm nor deny, will always try to inject something about Italy into a story or anecdote, will never use a simple word if a more vague word is available. A couple of simple rules, but creates such an interesting and hilarious foil to Conan.
It took the preist 3 days to get Jordan to simply say "I do" and Jordan's own wedding.
The comedy is born from Jordan trying to be as proper and accurate as possible with his responses while Conan comes in as wrecking ball of improper colloquial jive, leaving Jordan to pick up the pieces in a comedic battle of arrant. Comedy gold.

I love that when Jordan talks to other producers and writers he's just a normal person, and the SECOND he's with Conan he's in full game mode.

Conan by himself is amazing, but the fact that so many people who work for him are quirky and hilarious is fantastic.
They also all stick around so he's obviously good to work for (unlike some other talk show hosts).

@JamMasterJB I think you hit the nail on the head, but the relationship between Jordan and Conan stands out, I think. No-one draws out Conan's ultimate whackiness better than Jordan.
I think this is the Genius of Conan. Everyone is quirky in their own way, but that doesn’t mean they can be entertaining on their own. Conan is able to pinpoint what makes people funny and he knows how to bring that out of them.
Jordan correcting Conan about the pluralizing of barista as Conan is berating him about the espresso machine is priceless.
And he said that's how WE pronounce it, by we I'm assuming he means, we italians 😂
And it's also not quite right--see the Collins English-Italian dictionary entry for the translation of English "barista" to Italian. _Le bariste_ are two or more exclusively *female* baristas. _I baristi_ are two or more baristas, at least one of which is male. _I baristi_ is also the form you'd use if you aren't trying to convey anything about the genders of the seven baristas who conducted the "investigation".

What's crazy was the part about Conan's skits as Jordan's core memories. I always thought Jordan was somehow briefed that Conan may enter at any time, but here he is saying it was part of his life; that it was truly RANDOM.
The fact that Jordan remembers them so well really speaks of how important they are to him.
I don't know how they managed to blur this line between reality and a character but it's still completely believable and hilarious.

Jordan is super interesting and intelligent. On his own he would seem fairly normal, maybe a little quirky. But Conan plays off of him so well. Comedy gold!
Their dynamic and so enthralling that you can clearly see from the rest of the team that they are there watching some kind of performance instead of just being participants in a podcast.

I appreciate that Jordan isn’t playing a character and really is Jordan. He’s learnt more human emoting which is also heartening. Jordan helps me want to be more unapologetically myself.
He is playing a character. Watch some of these podcasts without Conan. He is very different and doesn’t act like this. It’s a shtick with him and Conan.
