His humor reminds me a lot of the humor you see on British panel shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats and Would I Lie To You. Very dry, very quick wit. Very, very funny. Check those shows out if you dig Kevin Nealon. Lee Mack from Would I Lie To You is insanely funny.
Yea, he's clever! The technical term for his joke format is "paraprosdokian". I believe his genre would be considered absurdist, but I'm not an expert.

@h3artands0uLL ohhhhhh ok I understand now, yeah that's funny as hell ahahahahaha I searched on Google translate but it was giving me completely different things. Well thanks man :)))
That’s why I love him on talk shows, particularly Conan. He’s so good at hiding the bit and keeping sincere until the punchline. Conan is always along for the ride with the audience.
The party for the guy who doesn't die would have been a great Curb your enthusiasm sub plot. Larry: " I can't help but notice that the doctor said you had only 3 months and I spent all this money on a big party and here it is ten months and you're still alive."
I saw him perform live about 15 years ago, and when he opened his act by saying he had been seeing a woman off and on, and that she lived near a lighthouse, I knew he was my comedy spirit animal... My kind of humor.
I love Kevin Nealon! He’s a great interviewee and he was one of the best of the WEEDS series. If you haven’t seen Weeds then think of it as the baby momma to Breaking Bad.
Nealon was a great SNL cast member. He was in some of the funniest skits I’ve seen on it. I had no idea he was so quick witted and funny in real life. A pleasant surprise!
Thanks for leading me to Kevin. Didn’t know him. It’s exactly my kind of humour. Very similar to Conan. And those guys triggering each other is just the best!
7:19 I had an automated paper towel dispenser ordered for my warehouse, and I installed it and got it up and running, and it only gives a tiny sliver of paper at a time. I search through the manual to find out how to adjust it, and there is no way to. However, it does state that there's a "paper saving" "feature" that, if you swipe for another towel less than four seconds after it's dispensed one, it will give you a 20% shorter piece. There is no way to turn this off. I'm not Mr fuckin krabs I'm just trying to dry my hands. Give me the goddamn paper.
Kevin Nealon is one of those people who are just genually funny. Brad Garret (Robert from everybody loves Raymond) is another example of someone who is a great comedy actor but is also hilarious off camera. Mad respect for both!
OMG! I died. "The first time I saw her, she was coming down the stairs." So stupid, so Dad jokey, and yet I nearly went into convulsions from belly laughing. Funny man.
Nealon was never a favorite on SNL but when I started seeing him outside of that I was surprised at how funny he actually was. He should have had at least one great comedy in his career.
Always loved Kevin Nealon, was in the most odd way a big part of my ladder childhood years. I loved the show weeds and his character in it was amazing. One of those people I see pop up and or mentioned and just smile
Their poor wives when these 2 are together. According to Conan's podcast- Conan & Kevin are ALWAYS doing bits and can never break character with each other. Good thing I don't know them personally because I can watch these 2 endlessly try to make each other laugh.
I'm not super super knowledgeable about Kevin's stuff, but I've seen from a few videos that every so often you can tell he's really really excited for the joke he just set up and is about to drop and you can see it on his face, and he's not exactly gonna break character or anything but there's a genuine giddy glee that he knows in about 5 seconds he's gonna kill, and I love it (he does it in the slinky joke in this one)
I've heard and thought about the "Where is our waiter" line so many times I've forgotten why it was funny to me, and I don't think I could ever really describe it in the first place.
Kevin is one of the ultimate "straight" comedians, up there with John Cleese, where they manage to be *funnier* than the "zany" comedians because of their timing/delivery. I've been a huge fan of his ever since I first saw him doing the Weekend Update on SNL with Adam Sandler.
Never seen him as the sit down guest, just his standup and SNL. Always loved his humor. The caricature bit was great. How he got the ink on Conan, that's comedy.
Another part of the interview on Conan Needs A Friend is where he was talking about how much his wife loved positive affirmation in the home, like wooden letters spelling "You're exactly where you're supposed to be in life" and that's why the their stole so much.
“How’d you get into photography?”
“I got a camera.”
Silence
Where is our waiter?!
Hey, me too! 😂
Conan’s face tryna hold back the tears😂
This one had me gasping for air.
Conan looks like he wants to slap him and burst out laughing at the same time.
I don't know how to describe his type of humor, but I really dig it.
I would describe it as a carousel. It goes up and down and around. Circular. All good things.
everything he does is extremely absurdist, but he almost never breaks. it's actually amazing when you think about it.

I think Conan has described his humour as “Ever Green” with an absurdist point of view. Just a couple Irish lads having a Chin Wag!
I would qualify him as an absurdist cuz everything he says is hilariously absurd.
7:00 "where is our waiter" is perfect. funny on so many levels, and the timing is chef's kiss
It’s become a classic late night tv moment.
One of the best jokes ever
Dinner With Andre
Okay the Chef can kiss all he wants, but the damn waiter needs to bring the food he made out here
What is the joke here?
“This bitch” part in the beginning g had me dying. I love when someone can make Conan laugh like that.
Comedy gold.
One of the funniest things I've ever heard.
Same. When someone makes Conan cackle I absolutely love it. Makes the joke funnier to me
I've been thinking about this bit the whole weekend. And everytime I did it put a smile on my face
@@guzombomutombo I had to rewatch over the weekend too 😆. This clip is gold
It's hard to describe his style of comedy. He's just incredibly silly, and his delivery and timing are supreme.
It's very much like Canadian humor which is heavily inspired by British humor. Kevin is neither Canadian nor British though
Deadpan maybe ?

Yes
Kevin and Conan are so hilarious together. I love how Conan challenges him and is a little mean to him, cause he knows he’s gonna be funnier.

It took me years to realize how funny Kevin is. His podcast episode with Conan is like being on mushrooms

Same. Saw him on SNL for years, but I was too young to appreciate dry humor. Dude is A+
He had Conan in literal TEARS by the end 😂 so classic
That’s just what I thought to myself!
“Smother you with a balloon animal” went under the radar! 😂
I honestly forgot how funny Kevin is. Everyone should spend an hour with a funny person like this. OK maybe 15 minutes.
I love watching conan trying to hold back laughter in some of these.
I never previously thought about it but Nealon has a little bit of the Norm McDonald magic
💯
By far one of the funniest conversational comedians on the planet!!
Always loved Kevin's humor. He's got his own unique way.

The entire hour he spent gaslighting Conan on his own podcast is legendary.
Bill Burr, Norm and Kevin always makes Conan laugh for real
Kevin's a comedic genius!
"She was coming down the stairs"
The bit at 8:17 where he's sketching is incredible. You never know what's coming next
There are three guarantees in life. Death taxes and Kevin absolutely killing it on Conan.
Just his poker face makes me laugh and he never cracks lol!
He NEVER fkn cracks!!! 😂 makes it that much funnier cause Conan is over there in stitches 😂

Oh man that slinky joke kills me so bad. I also believed he was being sincere, what a dick lol

Kevin makes some really good points about life. His son is a lucky kid.
the slinky joke about his wife is perfection....just amazing
I always loved his news update on SNL 😂…he is a funny dude

A bit like Norm Macdonald with Conan but slightly more coherent
