- This is Jimmy Page performing an instrumental version of Stairway to Heaven in concert at London's Royal Albert Hall on 9/30/83.
The ARMS Charity Concerts were a series of charitable rock concerts in support of Action into Research for Multiple Sclerosis.

I was at the 12/9/83 show at MSG show. I “discovered” Zep & went all in starting in summer of ‘78, got ITTOD when it came in ‘79, then Bonham’s death dashed my hopes of seeing any of these guys live in concert. Fast forward to seeing Plant at MSG 9/12/83, but to be at MSG seeing Jimmy Page in the same building that they shot(most of)TSRTS of which I’d seen probably 20x by that point was surreal. The ovation he got when he walked out on stage, took his jacket off, and was handed his guitar was amazing.

I saw The Firm in 1985, Eric Clapton at the concert that SRV died at and had tickets to the November 1980 Zeppelin show in Chicago that sadly never happened. Great video!!!

I was lucky enough to see Jimmy on the ARMS Tour both nights in New York. Me and a buddy took a bus from Toronto to NY as teens and bought scalper tickets for both night. I was at the MSG concert of this charity tour it was for 50's rocker Ronny Lane who came down with MS. I was right next to the stage on Jimmy's right side, with Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker was there with Kenny Jones on drums and Bill Weinman on bass. WHAT A FREEKIN CONCERT TO HAVE BEEN THERE LIVE.

Jimmy at the bottom of his musical ability but glad he's also on the verge of getting out from H. Still can held that 12lbs double neck and remember how to play the solo (at least better here than @ ARMS MSG). And those blue suit, suited him perfectly.
Bonhams death cursed this song being covered by any other drummer……………
