If only the supplied instructions were this clear.
A concise and well presented video giving valuable information without the poor sound quality, blurb and waffle often found in similar video's I've seen.
Well, here I am standing at the heater at 3 am and keep getting error messages. 30 seconds into the vid I realized I was simply blocking part of the heat line. Thank you sir, owe you a pint
No problem mate, glad you found it helpful
December 7th 2021
One year & one month since I brought my chinese diesel heater, I went to turn it on , and heard "Click", with no heat, no sound, no light on the controller. I am saying all this to say "Thank You",for making this video..
After watching your video, and a few checks with a multimeter I figured out that the controler was gone. I did as you recommended and brought another diesel heater.( cause just the ECU, may cost more than the whole heater) With alot of praying and patience I got the plugs to fit into one another, installed the ECU, and changed the controller. The controller has to match the ECU, or you'll get the E-07, code.
Thank you!
Thank you. The clearest explanation yet of error codes. Yes E8 was my daemon and removing the supplied fuel filter made an immediate improvement with a slightly smoky start ( first time )no E8 error after 2 minutes so far and running ok so far been going for a couple of hours no issues. Closed down correctly.
You're an absolute lifesaver everyone else is trying to tell you about the cat dog garage etc ..your straight to the nice one subscribed
Textbook video for folk who live with the machines and who fix them. Oration was perfect.
Thanks mate :)

I will be polite and say that the Chinese engineers have a sense of humour as they make sure we spend lots of time fixing their kit without manuals, and using a jungle telegraph system of teaching. I have just given up on a unit which failed on a fan error. It completely filled the boat with thick smoke which took weeks to clear of odours. After buying a replacement board and sensor, mating the controller to it by altering the voltage to 12v, swapping the sensor and fan plugs round, and moving the fan earth lead to the outer pin, the little bugger booted up and warmed up nicely. It soon began to speed up the fan then an almighty crunching sound occurred and the fan error code came up and the unit went dead in a cloud of smoke. It now starts at full fan speed and fails in 3 seconds. Time to give up and place the unit and its parts in the "suspect spares" bin.
😕
Thank you. I'm getting my heater ready for winter and I received a few codes and didn't know what they were. Watch your video and it answered all my questions.
Thanks, well made video. Especially listing where the codes are in the video. Makes it very easy to get info from.
No waffling straight to the point tutorial.
Brilliant. 👍
Brilliant very informative video. Oh I have had overheating sensor on a few times and after watching this this now think it’s the bend in the airflow to distribute the heat around the van. Bad planning on my behalf. Thanks again Ray K UK YNWA
The most comprehensive and clear instructions video I have ever seen👍
Thanks mate, glad you liked it!
Brilliant explanation , no messing , blurb ,or crap ,Thank you .
Thanks mate and no problem you are welcome
I may need to save this for future reference!
I'm currently playing a game to see if I can get the whole set 🙄
really helpful in time of need. Thank you for a genuine public service video 👍
No problem, glad you like it
Cracking video with great no bull explanations and demos of appropriate areas. Nice one.
thanks for the great advice, hope I can have my diesel heater back up and running soon!
super helpful - thank you for this simple breakdown
Excellent and comprehensive video, definitely one to keep for future reference. 👍
thanks scott
Best explanation of error codes I've seen, thanks for sharing!😃
Now thats how you make a youtube video. You're a bloody legend mate.
Thanks mate
I had error code E07 and I managed to fix the problem, thanx to this video.
thanks for not introducing your pets and travel interests but actually doing the job here! So refreshing!
My heater was not supplied with the installation guide, so this is just the ticket, thanks.
quick fix battery power was low, Thanks for the video I appreciate it
A very useful video and thank you for supplying it.
good job, thankyou for your clear and to the point explanation
Excellent info. Thank you 👍
Very informative. Cheers 👍🏻
Hello,I had E-6 /the fan had slid down the shaft away from the nock sensor,I put a small socket on the shaft & 2blows with a pin hammer & that fixed that, then E-10 showed, this was a kink in the fuel line when I reinstalled it,your video was very helpful//:) I forgot to mention, this was coursed by me pulling out the power fuse, like a kill switch before the heater had finished its shutdown cycle !
Does it not slide back again through time on using as it’s not locked in?
Great video, very to the point, I had e-10, seems to run fine after the second start attempt
Did you just start it again without the primingsequence? Ours starts and shuts off
10/10 for you're effort "really good", my Hcalory is showing an E07 fault "New out the box" so I'm waiting for Hcalory to respond after emailing them.
I've tested all the wires and there's continuity which is odd... Thanks again...
Excellent video, Many Thanks
Only thing I can add is another problem with the soft walled fuel line. (I suppose its academic really as you wisely advised us to chuck the soft walled pipe so we wouldn't be using it anyway.) It absorbs the pressure from the pump so the fuel leaves the jet is a dribble so it won't burn. Instead of a series of spurts which is neccessary to vapourise the fuel so it burns.
Cheers for the advice and saved for future reference
Thank you kindly, I was going to rush out and buy the glow plug (ER03) but shall check my battery condition first. Long period of clouds etc , batteries could be low.
Hoping to install a diesel heater in our T5 one day so we can wild camp all year round. Great video 👍
Very professional and comprehensive knowledge video of the heater! It's so cool! I can't wait to share it with as many people as possible!
The address of this video should be added in the reference part of the badly translated manual. I'm keeping this link for future reference. Kudos man. ☺
Thank you !!

I've recently purchased a Chinese diesel hearer. I've found one thing that can cause an E10 error is using too small Guage wire. I connected it to my 12 volt batter that was approximately 30 feet away using 18 awg wire. Everything appeared to be normal until I realized that the fuel pump wouldn't run with the voltage drop caused by too small of wire. After I ran 12 awg wire Everything was fine until my battery got too low and caused a E8 error.
For best results, If possible connect the battery using the supplied short cable else use 12 awg wire and keep the distance as short as possible.
Don't use a power supply or ac to dc converter. You can use a battery with a trickle charger without any errors.
So bloody nice to see a video on diesel heaters from someone who obv knows the subject 👍 there are way too many instant experts on YT 😤
Thank you for doing the research before making the video 😎
Excellent information well presented.
Facinating. I today had fuel and tons of smoke billowing out from the air intake filter location. E10 error code.
Just another thing worth mentioning for E01 that I've just fixed - I accidentally plugged the heater into 240v(the plug was identical to the one that goes into the unit and the transformer) and I fried the unit. After replacing the circuit board I was now getting E01 error despite there being enough voltage & amps for the unit.
In my case, I had to replace the display/control which removed the E01 error. Goes without saying, don't plug 240v into a 12v unit!
E-01 error code on a Chinese diesel heater will also come up if the octane rating of the fuel is too low (ie if you have veg oil in the mix) and it will refuse to fire up from cold as a result, shutting down and throwing the code along with a fuel icon. Its important if you do run mixed fuel, that you always run straight diesel or kerosene at full pelt shortly before shutting it down (and when starting) to purge the fuel line of any oil and to clean the glow plug. These heaters are less fussy when hot and will happily burn a mixture. When cold its a different story. If you do end up with a mixed tank and unable to start it, you have to syphon the tank contents as much as you can, replenish with a measure of neat diesel or kerosene, attempt to start it a few times and once it does, get it up to temperature quickly and then put back what you drained out. Restarting will create a cloud of smoke until all the oil is burnt off through heater and exhaust but should soon settle down. A solution is to have a switch-over tap so you can switch between mixed and straight fuel sources to avoid this. E-01 error is nearly always low power from battery or transformer - EXCEPT when it also displays the fuel icon. In this case its telling you its unable to ignite the rough fuel rather than having power issues, but will still throw an E-01 code. Hope it helps someone!
Hey I am getting e01 but it is from my boats diesel tank. It’s been working fine but it’s currently extra cold. I am getting a small voltage drop of about 0.4 v once started. On the remote it shows a fuel symbol so I am wondering is it because the system is too cold and the small voltage drop is not able to get it going?
Thanks in advance
Regarding to much heat at lowest level- I have mounted a fuelpump from a 2kW on my 5kW heater, and it works fine, gets more economical too 👍
Thank you, unfortunately I was setting it as a normal timer and could not figure out the odd time it was starting and could not get it to turn off within the times I was setting it for, and I am well use to timers as I am a heating engineer.
Great videos and very informative! Can’t wait to see more content on the diesel heaters from you. Can you include any information about manual adjustments to compensate for altitude? I wish I found your video sooner. I would have ordered the new blue controller that adjusts for altitude. You have the best information I can find on these diesel heaters.
Hi mate, we have one on order so we can make some videos on them so watch this space...
@@vanlifesurvivorsguide Great. Looking forward to seeing it
Thanks very helpful
I will need to repost these on sooo many fb posts where people are going mad over these error codes.. 👍🏻
Exellent infos, thanks ! You are the best, werry good explainations, grettings from Norway
Very helpful. Thanks
Absolutely brilliant Video thanks

Nice one 👍🏻
Brilliant thank you!
Thank you for this!!!
Thanks
Great video! Very useful
thanks smidsy
Mulțumesc frumos 👏👏👍
Thanks so much 🙏
Thank you
Thanks sorted out its problem in minutes, inlet screen half blocked with dust , code e 05. Trying to work
With manual provided is hopeless
Well said. Ty
thank you
Missed a very important cause for E-08. This can be caused by the heater being too dirty to light, meaning that the heater needs to be taken apart and cleaned (or just replaced)
Great video, thanks :)
Boss video thanks for the information
Very informative! Great idea about leaving a quarter tank of fuel when connecting into the main fuel tank!
Have you got a link for the nylon pipes?
thanks mate, yeah the link is in the description but here you go ebay.us/8gA1HU
Link is expired. Got a new one?
I have the error 05 and yes my warm air is blowing towards a painted wooden wall about 5cm away. I put 4 individual tubes on the 4 outlets and there's a 90 degree bend as soon as the warm air exits. I will have to cut through the wooden wall soon. Hopefully it will fix it
Low heat output and e-08 shutdown after a few minutes was caused by a dirty glowplug screen and partial blockage of the small air-hole in my case.
Error code E-01 *tip* ..if I try to start the heater above 15 degrees c I get the error E-01 BUT 15 degrees or below, it starts fine..once heater is running I can turn the heat up no problem..
Brilliant video. Subbed.
Thanks mate :)
I just watched your error code video. I wish I had seen this much earlier. Very well done, I have immediately subscribed. I do have a voltage question. My controller reads much lower voltage than a direct metered voltage check of the battery. Any suggestions?
Hi mate, that sounds like volt drop. So the cable between the battery and the heater isn't thick enough and should be thicker. we recommend 6mm2 (10awg). We also recommend going directly to the battery via the inline fused attached to the wiring loom and not through any other fuse box as this can cause volt drop too :) Thanks for the sub
I had an e05 error code keep coming up and the heater unit itself was very hot to the touch so I went into the factory settings and uped the minimum fan speed to 2500 rpm from 1500 rpm and it solved the issue as it draws the heat away from the heater quicker
top advise
Great video!
Thanks mate :)
Thanks!
Thanks mate thats our first ever super thanks
Useful
Do you think it is a wise decision to do this on a new unit ? Take it out of box, and add a few drops of 2 cycle oil inside the fuel pump then reconnect the fuel hose and manually pour diesel in the fuel line then hook it all up and do the prime- start up procedure ? This should really help lubricate the fuel pump during its initial startup when it is new out of box ?
Great video can you help with a problem fairly new heater but now when turning on it runs at very high speed straight away then shuts down
Awesome 👌
thanks mate
Excellent video. Might want to add the circle with a line through it. I believe it is bad connection to fuel pump. Trying to figure it out right now.
that just means that your heater isn't running its not an error or anything, once you start it up it will go. Have you primed the pump?
@@vanlifesurvivorsguide Thank you for the reply, it just started running! Thank you for this great and thorough video.
Great video very helpful. I suspect I have flooded the burn chamber and getting e10 as when I prime the diesel alway runs to the bottom of the hose leaving air trapped at the top. How do you solve a flooded burn chamber?
I’m having the same issue, would love to hear if you were able to solve it and how?
TY, NICE VIDEO
Problem I had. After about a year of use the rubber mount for the fuel pump broke apart. The pump was held only by wires and fuel lines. Symptoms: works and then sporadic error 8
I’m getting e-10, good voltage at the heater, have just stripped the heater and all looks fine, no flooding and just a light dusting of carbon inside the chamber. I’ve ordered a service kit anyway, see what happens when I put it back together.
Thanx V.L/Uk.
I found your error code video extremely useful.
Actually, I've got a E05 atm. I shut it down and it seemingly started normally.
(prolly a dodgey sensor after 137hr burn time), But, no, I get extremely hot (close to melting it)
Hope I haven't fk'd it! 😂
Cheers 'n Greetz
from
Australia
(Edit) : when i detected how hot it seemed to be getting in the room, I went to investigate as to why.
The tin casing was almost to hot to touch.
I initiated standard shutdown procedure successfuly.
Have ordered another sensor (maybe it something else?).
Sorry if bit lengthy.
Maybe sensor is just rubbish? (will look into compatible quality sensor/s...)
VERY GOOD INFORMATION AND EXPLANATION!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~ 12 SUBSCRIPTION ON YOUR WAY.....
I am getting error code 2 but I have my heater hooked to a 12 volt battery. Was working fine, shut it off and then kept getting error code 2 on next use. Any suggestions?
Good afternoon. I bought two spark plugs and did the exchange procedure with both. When turning on the heater, the candle does not glow. What should I do? Thank you for your help.
