Made this so many times with her recipe. Never changing it ever! The best hands down pot roast ever! Since it’s only salt, you can taste how good the beef is. Of course I’ll never say I got it on UA-cam. Passing it down like a grandma recipe. Sorry that’s how good it is! 😂
I just made it tonight. 10/10, easy and delicious, now I have lunch all week. Thank you so much ❤️.
My mom used to make this for Sunday dinner. Probably one of my favorite "one pot" meals.
Worcestershire is a must for any pot roast! It adds a whole new level to the taste and is fantastic.
And tomato paste….
Long as it got lots of garlic
I was looking for this comment 😂I am about to make some pot roast and last time I saw a recipe had Worcestershire sauce then I wondered maybe 🤔 my memories aré fuzzy that you 😂for confirmation of my memory
@@evgenyapermekova8220 The W sauce goes amazing with the red potatoes that should be in your cooker too. I also like french thyme, garlic, and beef bouillon or broth/stock in the mix too.
Easy to cook and delicious to eat! This is what I love!
I had never cooked a roast before !! It came out perfect!! So pleased!
My very first pot roast turned out successful! Thanks for the video!
Just made this Pot Roast today. Used Dry Red Pinot Noir and my slurry was flour and beef broth. This dish was incredible!!! Can’t wait to make it again! Thank you!!!
I wouldn't use any metal utensils scraping the interior enamel on my Le Creuset.
You think she cares I doubt it prop kitchen anyway😅
On a Le Creuset you’d have to really scrape the hell out of it for it to make a difference
@@JDoct15probably a knockoff lol
Why is everyone so nasty with her?
Thank you for taking the time to help others. This will help me alot. I've had a few turn out very dry and being a single dad it's a big let down for my kids. Wish me luck!..❤
Try Patti labelles it’s good
me too
You got this! Most important things are having enough liquid and cooking it for awhile covered. Should keep it moist and fall apart at the end.
@@christophersteward5720 I used a 3 lb chuck roast and took off 1/2 hr cooking time. It came out good but it didn't fall apart. Did I need more cooking time?
@@rochelleholmes9271 I cook mine for 4 hours on high in the crockpot. Or 8 hours on low. If you use the oven 300-350 for about 4 hours should be good. I'm making one right now and has about an hour left. I'll let you know how it turns out. I use the McCormack pot roast packet with about half a packet of aujus seasoning and total of about 3 cups water. If u use the whole packet with the water it calls for its to much liquid in my opinion.
I cannot wait to try this recipe that absolutely looks like the best pot roast I have ever seen thanks.
I like the way you get straight to the point
Perfect! And a well put together and concise video. That's so rare to find on UA-cam these days
This really worked great for my pot roast! Thanks for the easy steps and encouragement.
Made this a few months ago for my husband. We loved the simple but super delicious recipe. I’m having a dinner party tonight and I’m making this
I’m trying this tomorrow for the family. Can’t wait! Thanks!
In my family, we don’t use flour or corn starch, but instead use Worcestershire sauce and beef broth to make a rich sauce. We also insert pieces of garlic into the roast and sometimes use garlic powder along with salt and pepper.
The idea is to make sure the meat is well seasoned and the sauce full of flavor.
The carrots also help add flavor, along with mini bell peppers and celery. The potatoes of course are also there.
And being good Pacific Islanders, we also have a freshly cooked pot of rice on the side, along with soy sauce. 😉
I also like this version of pot roast, however. Mahalo for sharing!
😊🤙🏼
I really like your recipe. Being Meditarrian descent we use tons of garlic. I put garlic into pork chicken believe this or not our steelcut oats raw. It is so good and healthy. I like your idea better. 🙂
Ooooh yes I do it just like that too because I want it to come in it’s own gravy straight out of the oven. I don’t add potatoes with the roast because I serve it over a bed of mashed potatoes. 😋. I sear the roast with flour all over it this helps make a thicker gravy. Oh man it’s sooo yummy. Thank you 😊
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Malafunkshun808 sounds salty
Worcestershire and Beef broth will flavor your sauce, but they won't thicken it. You need some kind of starch to thicken it. You can use flour in the beginning and make a roux, or you can do as this cook showed and use a cornstarch slurry to thicken at the end.
Another way to thicken the sauce is to add a beurre manié which is just 1/1 butter and flour mixed into a paste. I keep a bag of them shaped into balls in the freezer just in case I have this exact situation and I need a quick thickener.
Do you make them up yourself and freeze them?
Thats a good idea! But i think searing the meat with flour on the outside gives it more flavor!
@@Wewhosee-im3ii She did sear it with flour on the outside. Her sauce was still water thin at the end of cooking. Did you miss all that when watching the video?
My mom taught me the corn starch and water slurry trick also. For me, pot roast must have the holy trinity: onions, carrots and celery!
That’s a cool idea!!! I squeeze lemons and freeze the juice in 2 oz popsicles. I’ll have to try your idea! Thanks
So easy and nice looks like something I will definitely do at thanks giving
Helpful tips and easy to follow. Looks yummy as well. Thanks!
Beautifully demonstrated...
I just made it today, WOW, AMAZING and I also LOOOOOOOVVVVEEE the way she explained it with a very simple language,
I’ve made this many times and I’ve never had any problems or complaints about this meal always a crowd pleaser
The best meal of all time. Thanks for sharing your tips.
Great recipe, easy to follow, wonderful results. Thanks!
Thank you for leaving out the long, pointless introduction and just jumping straight to what people are watching this video for. This would make a good how to on how to make a how to video.
They use these videos on their all recipes website so of course they can't have long intros lol
I confirm that this is excellent my family gets excited when I make it!
This video was awesome! I'm teaching myself to cook and All Recipes has been an invaluable tool for me!
Cool. Good luck! UA-cam taught me to cook. :)
WOW, that is one gorgeous dutch oven you've got there. Mmmmmmmm.
Looks absolutely amazing, and you have a great personality too!
Thank you for sharing that delicious recipe.
Thank you for your help. Mine came out delicious. I did not have to use corn starch to make the gravy. Thanks 😊
This is the best presentation on the pot roast schedule. It is clearly narrated by this beautiful young lady. She gives the basic recipe that everybody uses, but includes the eternal possibilities that people take with this old time recipe. Congratulations! This is the best!
After dinner,I want her to read me a bedtime story, and tuck me under the covers!
I have never cooked a pot roast before and I love pot roast I don’t know why I have never done it before but it makes a lot of sense this video
So excellent. I would have added celery ond mushrooms, I need to go shopping. See ya later.
I just came back from the store and need to go back! Lol
Can you pick me up too i need a ride 😂
So how's the pot roast?
I was just saying, it look like it need some mushrooms in it. Then I ran into your comment. Running out to get 🍄.
My mom cooked her roast in a cooking bag she put flour on her roast also along with the onions, carrots and potatoes. She would sometimes add cooking sherry too. It was my favorite thing she cooked. Thank you for sharing I'm going to try this.
Love this recipe!!! Delicious 🤤 thank you!
How are You doing and how is Your weather condition Over there?
You are wonderful! Thank you for this recipe.
I followed this recipe and it turned out perfect. Best pot roast recipe on youtube.
I made this today - my first pot roast ever (I'm normally a steak kinda guy, but at the absurd prices these days am looking for things to do with less expensive cuts). It was FANTASTIC - the meat was so tender, and the veggies were just right. The only thing I did different was add some chopped garlic to the top of the roast after searing it. Thank you so much for this DELICIOUS recipe!
Chopped garlic is a great idea...Thanks from Canada !
Looks delicious, i would love to try that.
Love the flavor of the gravy and my beef cooked perfectly. Thank you!!!🙂
Beautifully done!
This makes a wonderful roast, I use this recipe.
Really like your presentation make it rally easy to cook and looking forward to watch more videos from you Chanel.
Now that’s a beauty of a cook
I’ve been making this recipe for 3 years. Every time I make it I got complements and called master chef 😅. Thank you very much. Best way to make pot roast ❤️
fall-off-the-bone tender is an expression, people!! I suppose she could say fall-apart tender, but fall off the bone is an expression that people have used for decades.
I returned here to give correction to the jokers commenting about that statement, but you did such a perfect job of it I simply gave you a thumbs up!
Only problem is, you forgot. It's a chuck🥩 roast. There is no bone!!!!!🚫🦴That's why she said fork tender you bozo 🤡😂🤣😆😂🤣😆
That's for ham🐖 on the bone....🤦♂️🤦♀️🙄
I like it when you cooked the pot roast in a pot. Good job.
That was the prettiest pot roast I've ever seen !
Looks absolutely delicious!!🔥💖
It was delicious! Thank you.
I love how traditional American pot roast is practically the same as traditional British stew 🍲 instead you leave the meat together as a whole joint. Will have to try it like this for the winter now.
Looooove the addition of Marsala wine!
“ Oh, look at her!”, my face cracked. 😂
What I wanted to know was how much Marsala wine?? I am going to guess that it is 2 cups???
Looks so delicious.
i tried this my family loves it thank you for the recipe
Looks great! I add celery to the veggie mixture as well. Also, sometimes I use Guinness instead of vino!
Celery is a must have for me. Her veggies look good .
Yours must be the 1000th perfect pot roast I have seen on youtube! Great!
Looks amazing!
Thanks for the recipe.
Kitchen goddess! Thanks, I’m heading to the store to buy the ingredients, Lol
Same here!
This recipe beats out many high end chef’s recipes that are on here on UA-cam! Great job!
Looks delish and easy ,thank you .
I absolutely love when the gravy is on the thinner side 😁🤩
i like it like that too! ...(youre cute! )
Tried your recipe and LOVED IT
that looks amazing, seriously
looks amazing , I'm going to try your recipe!
Looks yummy iwill cook this for our Noche Buena and for my birthday this coming 25th😀 thank you!
Sister I like your style 🥰 the onion trick is a 10!!!! Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for this delicious recipe. I made it for dinner tonight and my guests are through the roof! I cooked 2 lbs for an hour and a half. So an hour fifteen per pound.
She's a hoot to watch. I tried her recipe and it was delicious
Oh My Lord that looks So Good! I haven't made a roast dinner in probably 6 months at least! I will be now 😉😋
Doing this tonight !!! Yummy!! Thanks for sharing .
How are You doing and how is Your weather condition Over there?
that looks wonderful and so does the chef cant wait to try it, the dish i mean lol
that looks great....i try....thx. Take care
I prefer to cook my roast just like this, compared to using the crock pot. Something about cooking it in a Dutch oven pot makes it so tender and tasty. Love it!
Just made it, awesome😊😊😊
I am going to try this recipe to make my next pot roast. I want it really tender. In the past, my pot roast turns out hard. I figured out looking at this video I am not letting it cook long enough. Thanks for this video.
Love this video I dont usually comment love the rawness of the video
Awesome video!! Thankyou😊
This was the best roast I ever made!!!! Ugh thank you!:)
I'm doing this for Thanksgiving. Thank you!
Thank you for this sweet and short tutorial. I haven't made PR in awhile and was really really helpful! I'm hosting Christmas day and want the food to be tasty. I think my carnivores will enjoy. :) Cheers! xo
It looks tasty.
In the oven now. Smells amazing
Just discovered and your spectacular presentation earned my scribe. Gonna try this recipe!
Thank you for the wonderful recipe. I am making it tonight! May I ask where you found the gorgeous serving platter?
That look so good it's about time I start cooking so many times a month take the food to my grown kids culinary degree.
Making this right now. I don't have fresh thyme and used dried thyme instead. Hope that's ok. I didn't have long carrots, but a million thick baby carrots so using those with white potatoes. I hope all works out. Should be done by 5:30pm eastern time today. 😊 Thanks for the recipe!!
How did it turn out?
Cream or broth wouldn't thicken it but corn flour will it's a fail for me .
Usually when substituting fresh herbs with dry herbs, you only use about half as much in the recipe. Hopefully you realized that otherwise your pot roast may have tasted overwhelmingly like thyme and nothing else!
very educational and on point with tips and tricks nice video!
Oh my !😋 Definitely making tyfs! 🙂
Hey Linda, how is your weekend going with you there?
The roast is excellent!
This really looks good !
Only thing I would do differently is use chuck round instead
Did this roast last Sunday. It came out great!!! Next time though I'm using less salt.
I love that blue Dutch over cooker you use. Can you tell the size and the brand please. Looking forward on more of your cooking videos. Thanks
Carla it’s either the 6 3/4qt which serves 6/7 people or the 9 1/2 qt. which serves 9/10 people from Le Creuset!! Happy Shopping Williams-Sonoma 🎄🎄🎄
Thank you for your pot roast review.
wow I like love it!
I love it!
This is the best pot roast recipe. The only way I cook mine now
How are You doing and how is Your weather condition Over there?
I made this today, the boys loved it was worth the long wait. Beef took a long minute to defrost
Definitely a recipe that will hit the spot. And the cook's (chef's) cute personality increased the enthusiasm here.
