Love your step by step teachings. Thank u
Thank you. My grandmother made pot roast on a pan in the oven. She did not shred it but it fell apart wonderfully. That was many years ago but brings back memories of her.
ALL PRAISES TO THE MOST HIGH! I need a Pot Roast recipe and EVERYTHING you make has been SLAMMIN'!!!
Hope you enjoy!
Nothing like some great pot roast in the winter. Looks amazing!
You make cooking seem like fun AB !! Like the way you present the process of making the meal.. don’t change your video is so fun 🎉and easy to follow
I do love the instant pot for a quick pot roast but nothing beats the classic low and slow. Sooo much flavor
My grandmother used to make pot roast in her slow cooker on the stove but yours looks 100x more rich and tasty! Yum 😋
AB, first of all, I made your candied yams (out of control!) for Thanksgiving & the hostess can’t stop talking about it. Now, I just got told today to make pot roast for Christmas Eve & I’m making this !!!
I gotta tell ya this man is an excellent teacher, answered every question I asked myself, he was precise and descriptive with everything...thank you.
This looks absolutely delicious. Appreciate the no frills no obnoxious editing straight chill cooking. Can't wait to try this out.
Nothing beats a good pot roast with potatoes and carrots, an easy meal that goes down so good. Beautiful job
I’ve watched you’re videos so long I feel like we family now 😂 Never stop doing what you doing you always take these recipes “over the top” and we here for it
My daughter made a beef roast in her crockpot for our Christmas dinner. Pretty much the same “recipe”. Hers was delicious! And she made mashed potatoes and gravy, as well.🥰
My family and I absolutely loved this recipe 🤤 thank you so much!
I made this today, it was delicious and my wife loved it. As always thanks AB for the great recipes!!
I made this for dinner last night and it came out soooo good. Thank you for this recipe.
The little lady requested pot roast the other day so I got UA-cam and found this video. I followed it to the letter except for the seasonings and BAM! What a success. This one is a keeper. Thanks!
Using this for my family’s Christmas dinner but making my grandma’s dumplings with it!! So delish
I made this yesterday for Sunday dinner and it was so delicious my husband loved it. Thanks for putting out great meals. Can’t wait to try something new from your channel.
This recipe right here is R.O.T (Right on Time!) I got a roast with most of your fixings that was just waiting for me to see! I've also made your MnC recipe for Turkey day and it disappeared!! Thank you A.B for breaking it down for us... literally
It looks amazing! The best cooking tunes that I've ever heard..
Cheers from Nebraska AB! I lived inRiverside for 10 years. I miss the old town there. Loved it. Loved the people. The restaurants. The culture. The climate. Everything! Wish I could come home. Glad you're on UA-cam to show the food!
Looks amazing! Love your cooking!
It is currently 12:21pm on a rainy Tuesday in LA and my roast is now in the oven doin what it do 🔥🔥🙏🏾🙏🏾🤤
Thanks big homie! 💪🏾
This is hands down the best pot roast I've ever made. Thank you chef!
I followed your recipe step by step and omgosh my family looooves! Thanks so much for sharing your blessings with us! I love your channel ❤️🔥💪🏾
The roast looks so delicious and tender!! Another awesome recipe. I thank you for your content. Also top notch. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
My family opted to have pot roast for Christmas dinner this year so this video was right on time.
Same! 🤙🤙
Us too😉
Mine literally just decided to do so today! It was my idea too and they’re lucky I found this video because they’re about to be mind blown and so will I! Can’t wait to try this in a couple months 😊
Making mines for Sunday dinner tomorrow..Thank you! Looks so good 😊
Thank you for showing your work, I'm learning to do more with my crock pot as a single dad and you make it seem easy but I'm gonna give it a shot and hope for the best
Making this for Thanksgiving! I can hardly wait!!!! Looks so freaking good!
Nailed it... I think you just made one of the best pot roasts, if not "The Best" I have ever seen done. The way that slow cooked beef looked when it was shredded and presented with the colorful veggies and rich looking gravy just made my mouth water. Better than mine and I think better than my momma's, and Her's has always been my favorite, bless her soul. Great job !
Just made this for Sunday dinner. Everyone raved about the pot roast. Thanks AB!
I want everything you have in your kitchen!!!!! The pots/pans/mixing bowls/knives.. EVERYTHING!!!! I just love it🥰🥰🥰 can’t wait to make this recipe😋
Making this for thanksgiving dinner AB!! Ever since this popped up I’ve been craving this and tomorrow is going to be perfect 🤩
This is a winner! I added cumin and celery seed to the roast seasoning. I also added Worcestershire sauce to the beef stock and better than broth enhancer. I also cut up 2 tbsps of butter and dotted it on the top. Lastly I added about a 1.5 tips of pepperocini juice and 2 cut up pepperocini peppers. These ingredients are what I would use for a Mississippi pot roast. Your technique is amazing!
Looks absolutely delicious!!!!!! I am going to make this for sure, along with so many of your other dishes, you are amazing at showing how to make your food you really do simplify things thank you so very much!! God bless you and your family..
Thank you sir for the wisdom that you have imparted on us all with this video
This is the first recipe of yours I made. I'm usually a basic guy, but you were spot on. The flavor profiles were fantastic! the Level Up seasonings were perfect. Thank you so much for inspiring me to cook something my wife loves! Looking forward to more experiences like this one! Oh, and great to see another resident from Riverside. We moved from there in '16 for Vegas! Thank you, again!
You’re so sweet I know your wife loves you
Great recipe! Could have heated the beef broth up in the same cast iron you used to sear the roast. That way you can deglaze the pan and save that delicious frond on the bottom. Plus you avoid using another pan.
Facts. That's exactly what I would've done. I probably would've let some of those onions and potatoes get some of that love, too.
Word
Shutup lol
You might risk getting a burnt taste. Id stick to the way he did it.
@@lisakaye3919 Right! 😂😂
Thank you sir, this is terrific. God Bless
Looks AMAZING!!!! Definitely cooking one and following your method!!!
Great video. My wife and I just used your cookbook to make this last night
Hope you enjoy!
@@SmokinandGrillinwithAB it was AMAZING
Omg I can't wait to try that cornstarch slurry in my pot roast!! I can just imagine the thicker consistency packed with flavor would make it so savory 😋
@@MrVeteranVlogs what seasonings did you guys use? Or did you use his branded version?
This looks and sounds great! I definitely want to try it. I've typically made mine using red wine, red wine vinegar, and marsala wine including thyme and rosemary. I put mushrooms in mine too and they use paprika and aged Balsamic Vinegar primarily. Then, I prefer to make golden mashed potatoes separately to seep in the juices.
AB you have helped me level up my cooking skills over the last couple years. I have shared your videos with my family and we all like your style. Keep up the great work chef ❤
Yesssssss!!! That seat is EVERYTHING 👏🏾👏🏾
I'm doing pot roast for Christmas dinner and it'll be my first time making it so thank u for this recipe & tutorial! Hope I get it right 😬🙆♀️😄
It never fails--I just finished what I thought was a great meal, and then your video posts! Now you have my mouth watering and wishing I was there with you, tearing into another one of your masterpieces. You asked for suggestions on how to level this up: eat it while its hot with a nice batch of freshly baked dinner rolls slathered in butter, 'cause you can't level up the dish itself! AB, you are the best! Thanks for making this look so easy.
Omg right lol
Done perfect, omg you can eat that with your eyes….delicious, enjoy
Gotta make this for the new year! thanks AB🙏🏾😊🔥
I've tried many of your recipes and they all came out incredibly tasty. I'll definitely be trying this one soon. Thank you AB! Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄🤍
Did you try Abe Famous best spaghetti and also his Chili? Two of my favourites. 👍
@@ramrider1453 I haven't tried either of those but I will! The country breakfast skillet and his biscuit and gravy recipes are two I make all the time, so good!
@@sammas228 I just seen that recipe…. Dang it does look good and for sure I will try it.
I made your pot roast recipe. It was simple and it came out delicious. I especially liked the veggies. I'm going to need a bigger pot for next time. Everyone wanted more, and I shared what I could... I wanted leftovers too 🥰🤪💋
That’s delicious, veggies and everything! Thank you 🙏👌
I’m making pot roast for Christmas too! This was right on time….It’s looks too delicious AB!
That looks great. I like to add a versatile vegetable that I feel is often overlooked in the kitchen, especially in conjunction with slow cooked beef: beets. Fresh beets peeled and chopped to the same chunk size as your potatoes and other vegetables adds immense flavor. It also adds a beautiful rich, redness to the broth and gives a good deep sweet balance to the rosemary and tarragon.
Cooking is so crazy and ill always love it.
FAN - TASTIC. Thanks AB.
David
Merry Christmas AB! When I make a roast, I use beer instead of water or broth. That's an old trick from pioneer days, since beer is a natural meat tenderizer. It also adds flavor.
Chef!!!! My fiance and I want to say thank you!
I'm a chef in Maryland and was going through it when coming up with a name and concept for my restaurant.
I do not eat pork but made your gumbo using chicken and in that moment I grabbed my notebook and wrote a menu and name within 10 min!
That gumbo spoke to my SOUL!
Thank you brotha! Once we get the legal fun stuff over with after the holidays I will let you know!
You changed our whole life over a pot of gumbo inspired by you!
God bless you and your family
What’s the name of your restaurant? I stay out MD would be down to check it out
How's the restaurant going? Hopefully good
I absolutely love your recipe and videos that looks so heavenly
Followed this recipe and it turned out amazing. Makes cooking so easy to me. Gonna follow some other recipes tonight
AB that roast looks delicious, you never disappoint. I cook my roast similar to that, but I season my roast, batter it in flour, I sear it on both sides, then put it in the pan with the veggies and beef broth as it cooks the gravy is also made.
I do the same thing. I also use a little red wine to deglaze the pan after sautéing the veggies
Have been enjoying your videos today! Pro tip: while making your gravy after you have incorporated the corn starch and water mixture try adding a few dices of frozen butter...it will make it shimmer and delicious!
Is there an alternative to using Corn Starch? Maybe flower, corn meal, baking soda?
Love fried cabbage; comes from my Ukrainian grandmother. Brings back memories of my grandmother. We add Polska Kielbasa sausage and potatoes
Made this for Christmas, this year for the 1st in my life and everyone loved it!
We have been talking about making roast oh my goodness looks amazing 💖💖💖Merry Christmas Everyone
Ohhhh dayummmmm !!!!
Yummy 😋 Always on point AB!
Thank you 😋
Honeeeyyyyy, I gave this a try last Monday and my man is in love with me haha! Love this channel. You, sir, are nothing to play with. I followed your black eye pea recipe this new year and it was also a hit. Keep doing what you’re doing, love. Thank you!!
Thanks AB for this delicious recipe. I made this on Wednesday and everyone loved it.
Once again Mr AB, you created a Masterpiece!! That Pot Roast looks amazingly scrumptious!! 🤤😋
I pretty much do this but I put it in a crockpot. Also, since going keto, I take out the potatoes and substitute in radishes. They cook up very nicely and are pretty amazing, to be honest.
Looks delicious, thank you for sharing
Oh and thank you for sharing your recipe!!😁😋
Adding an acid to any gravy based dish is my best tip. My favorite way is to use a teaspoon or two of liquid from a jar of jalapenos. Makes all the difference in the world. It does not add any spice/heat to the dish, but the difference is unbelievable. Love your channel, AB! Merry Christmas!
Great recipe. Very similar to how my Mom taught me years ago. They only thing I do differently is that I coat my roast in flour prior to searing it and I use half bullion and half red wine for a little extra flavor.
sounds good with the red wine. I use it for steak, so Im sure it'll go good with this. What's the reason for coating roast in flour b4 searing it? Ive never heard that before
@@MyZ001 the flour kinda omits the need for the cornstarch slurry. As the roast cooks up, the flour breading actually thickens up the gravy as it cooks 👍🏾
I loooove coming to rewatch his recipes. He has such a soothing dad voice you just feel like you’re listening to dad give you the secret recipes and make you feel like you got this lol. 👏🏽👏🏽✊🏽🙌🏽
Love your kitchen!
I just made my roast on Sunday and we are very similar on cooking. I am sure that your's will be delicious.
Hope you enjoy!
Yes Sir!! Love that pro move of tossing the veggies in the bowl! And the sear on that meat!!! 😮 I can literally taste it!!! Mouthwatering! Happy holidays to you and the family! ❤❤
Thank you for bringing back ole school pot roast. Simplicity is so much tastier. I enjoyed this video so much. Mahalo and Aloha..
Delirious. I followed your recipe/instructions. Man, jackpot ! Cooked 5hrs 30 mins. Veggies little softer and less firm than I wanted, but still mouthwatering ! This is my first time so. Thx AB !
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!
I cooked mine in my crockpot overnight. Woke up early to a beautiful aroma. It came out soo tender and flavorful. My family is gonna love this later today. Btw, we also made your peach cobbler recipe ooo baby. 😘🔥🔥🔥
Hi :) i wanna try this recipe on slow cooker too! How did you do it? And any alternatives on seasoning? Thank you in advance
@@beamalan6367 hello, I made it just how AB made it in the video, I just used my crockpot placed the roast in just like he did. Cooked it on low for 8 hours. Because, I didn’t have the AB had I used garlic salt, pepper, onion/garlic powder, adobo & Worcestershire sauce. Don’t skip out on searing the roast makes a difference imo.
I'm watching this at 1:00 am....
I'm really full but damn!!!!!!
This looks sooo good.
Thanks AB and Merry Christmas 😍🎄
Happy holidays! And Merry Christmas!
Buddy, you have the best pot roast recipe on UA-cam. I’ve seen several and your’s is hands down the best. I’m doing this tomorrow. Thanks again AB!
This was beautiful thanks for sharing!!! This is definitely going to get me ready to cook for my family
Yessss! This is exactly what's on the menu for the holiday. Pasta salad, leftover dressing that I froze from Thanksgiving and I might make a few sweet potato pies. Let's eat!
I've been doing mine similar to this for YEARS now, and I now feel legit because AB does his the same 😂❤️!!!
Absolutely amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yummy, yummy, yummy!! Have to try this.
First!!!❤❤ ❤❤❤😂😂😂 Seriously this recipe is right on time, bro!! It’s freezing here in NC and this is just the thing to warm my soul! With a splash of hot sauce😉 Keep up the great work!!!
👋👋👋
@@SmokinandGrillinwithAB I could smell this through the phone!! Sheesh!
I'm just loving it
Oooohhhh my word ! Yummmm thanks for all the tips !!
Oh my goodness! Delicious!
