Just got my 200 amp 1 wire dropped in on my 12v, 14 volts when running. Works great. Pay the money for a lifetime warranty instead of trying to convert an alternator to 1 wire.
Out of curiosity, why do one wire alternators attach straight to the battery terminal and need a smaller gauge cable? From what I've seen on the original wiring harness it goes through a bigger gauge and a fusible link. I'm learning about the electrical system on these first gen dodge's and it looks like the '92 I just bought has a 1 wire alternator

That's a good question, not sure.
Is it a 136 amp, or a 200amp, and how is it working
200, works flawlessly. Have not had any issues . I highly recommend.
