There is a fat wire on the factory wire distributor block, that bolts to a stud on the stock alternator. Looks like the PA performance doesn't have that stud for the fat ground wire. The 3 studs on the back of the alternator are small but could be used for a ground wire.
What happens when the 2 field wires are no longer 'hooked up'? Check engine/check gage light come on? I'd prefer to go this route (one wire) on my 2000 DodgeRam w/ cummins, instead of a separate regulator and wiring it all up.
Hey metal is awesome can you please do a video on the synthetic blend non detergent air compressor oil please because I bough a compressor but can't find the synthetic blend non detergent air compressor oil .please send a link where to get it because I really need to work I have rent to pay . please bro I've already subcribe

I did not have any issues with the check engine/battery light coming on.
I lucked out, and all it was 'this time' was the alternator, not the PCM. But good to know for next time! Thanks!
One of the wires is hot from the ignition and should be wrapped in heat shrink or something to keep it from shorting.
this is what mopar should have done ! they would have saved millions and had a superior product!
Any updates, still working?
Is this still working good?
Will this work on a second gen 12 valve
What is that white wire go to?
If you add a Tach this would be your signal wire to it?
Where is the ground!
How much was that alternator and do you have a part number I can reference ?
The alternator is a little over 200, I caught one that a fin had broke off of on their bargain bin which didn’t hurt it for 169$
@@oilburner_75 thank you
