ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO: Top 3 Nutritional Deficiencies Of Kibbles
Number 1 is live enzymes and kibble have none. Enzymes are biological molecules used in thousands of chemical applications throughout the natural world, sustaining and supporting all forms of life.
Enzymes are employed in thousands of metabolic processes throughout the body to keep the body balanced. Without enzymes health problems and disease are the result.
Your dog was born with their own unique supply of enzymes which normally share duties with incoming enzymes from food, however, kibble has none, so your dogs hampered with producing every enzyme needed at every meal which means stress and vulnerability to breakdown and disease.
Number 2 is vitamins and minerals. The issue here is that kibble contains only synthetic vitamins and minerals and these are essentially fake isolated laboratory created imitations.
And these fake vitamins and minerals added to pet food allow pet food manufacturers to call their food complete and balanced. Well that may be true on paper but not in the real world.
Synthetic vitamins are not well recognized by your dogs body, often seeing them as toxins and expelling them from the body as expensive urine. Naturally-sourced vitamins have a unique profile inside the food that’s consumed while the enzymes and minerals that go with them in the food help your dogs body to absorb the vitamins.
So vitamins are not used or recognized by your dogs body properly without enzymes. Feeding kibble without enzymes or any whole food based supplements added and with only synthetic vitamins and minerals means your dog is suffering nutritional inadequacy that leads to the problems previously talked about.
The absolute best option here in terms of an added supplement is Green Vibrance, a freeze dried green powder with 72 ingredients, including excellent probiotics. It literally has everything in it your dog needs, it's also organic, and I've been using it for 20 years! Just add with the provided scoop the amount you'll need going by your dogs weight. So for a small dog add a quarter scoop, a medium dog one third scoop and a large dog half a scoop.
Number 3 is your dog thirsty?
Kibble fed dogs are chronically dehydrated as they simply don't take on enough water to compensate the drying effect of kibbles. Kibble contains around 12% moisture while most fresh foods contain around 70% moisture and dogs simply don't take on enough water to compensate the amount of kibble they eat.
Constant systemic dehydration causes distressing health problems for dogs, as well as metabolic kidney and liver sickness. After eating kibble, your dog quickly gets dehydrated and thirsty. Replenishing fluid in their body's cells takes time and energy to rebalance, putting great strain on the body.
Remember, water is the most important nutrient your dog needs.

Hi Dan, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you. My dogs allergies are completely gone. I have followed your instructions and the products recommended and they are thriving. I also started feeding raw from the beginning of learning your recommendations and about a month ago i added the manuka honey 15 UMF. that was the icing on the cake for one of my dogs. The Manuka honey made all the small skin lesions that were stubborn to go away completely and the patches of fur are all growing back with no signs of reoccurrence. Im soooo happy, and i can’t thank you enough. I also bought your book, such great info. Thank you 🙏🏽!!!

As always Dan great info and just shared the video with some kibble feeders. Due to your recommendation I've been feeding Dory the Green Vibrance and I switched her a few months ago to Freshpet Vital grain free and I've never seen her eat better. One question colostrum being antifungal and mushrooms 🍄 being a fungus do they interfere with each other?

That will make a big difference but... Best to part cook and blend the veggies. Also add eggs, canned sardines ( in water), some hemp oil 1tsp in each meal: amzn.to/3vDdtjX
SBO probiotics in all meals too: amzn.to/3yoURqU
Add (7 beef organs powder): amzn.to/337cxwj to get really good natural vitamins and minerals in via organs (powdered).
There's more but don't want to overwhelm you. Start with the above, see improvements, come back for more.

Hi Dan! Any remedies so Valley Fever?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому

      Here's some information to help:
Managing Your Dog’s Valley Fever Naturally
There are three main goals in treating Valley Fever
      naturally:
      Boost the immune system
      Give antifungal foods and nutraceuticals
      Feed anti-inflammatory foods and nutraceuticals
      Boost The Immune System
Since the antifungal medications don’t kill the yeast
cells, a strong immune system is key … no matter what treatment option you choose. Your holistic vet should work with you to …
Prescribe herbal and/or homeopathic remedies to stimulate your dog’s immune system
Supplement the diet with foods and nutrients that support the immune cells
Prescribe natural anti-inflammatories to reduce inflammation
and pain associated with the infection
      Natural Antifungals
Whether or not you use conventional antifungal drugs
(again, decide this with your holistic veterinarian’s help) … you’ll want to supplement your dog with natural antifungals.
Some effective natural antifungal ingredients are:
      Caprylic Acid - kills yeast.
It’s in MCT oil and coconut oil. MCT oil is best because it’s less likely to disrupt the gut microbiome as coconut oil can.
Give about 1 Tbsp per meal for a medium sized dog. Organic MCT oil - amzn.to/3tLlCnR
Olive Leaf Extract and Grapefruit Seed Extract: give both orally, one capsule of each extract, twice a day for an average size dog; small breeds (and cats) can get one capsule a day. Olive Leaf Extract - amzn.to/3uh3GTJ
Grapefruit seed extract organic - amzn.to/3tbt24E
Oil of Oregano: give a few drops on the food twice a day for small dogs, and double the dose for larger dogs. Oregano oil: amzn.to/3ulnF1T
      Caution:
Don’t put oil of oregano straight in the mouth - it must go in food, or you should dilute it with some olive oil or MCT oil, 1 tsp per 1 drop of oregano oil.
      Foods That Can Help
Another antifungal approach is to kill the organism by
destroying its cell wall. The organism has a cell wall that
is made of chitin, similar to insects and some worms. There
are certain common foods and nutraceuticals that have chitinase, an enzyme that “chews” up the chitin. This can help break up the cell wall of the yeast and actually kill the cell.
Here’s a list of foods that contain chitinase. It’s
worth a try to feed these foods to your infected dog. My theory is that if the infected victim eats these foods … then the chitinase may attack the fungal cell wall and destroy the organism.
      Bananas
      Plantain
      Kiwi
      Papaya
      Peach
      Apricot
      Pineapple
      Passion fruit
      Squash family
      Pumpkin
Legumes, beans (thoroughly cooked, and buy organic/non GMO)
      Tomatoes
      Turnips
      Soybean seeds (buy organic/non GMO)
      Watermelon
      Celery
      Spinach
      Broccoli
      Apples
      Mint
      Cinnamon
      Mango
So try adding some of these foods to your dog’s meals
and see if it helps. Keep in mind you’ll need to steam or purée veggies to make them digestible for your dog. And legumes need to be thoroughly
      cooked until soft.
Other complementary treatments that I may prescribe are:
Acupuncture for pain and to boost the immune system
Low level laser for skin lesions.

Hi Melinda, your very welcome. First I'd give a good CBD oil for the dementia. Just get the size that suits your dogs size: healthydogforlife.com/CBD and work up the dose slowly from a half dose to double the recommended dose over 1 week. Can make a huge difference.
Then it's all about diet and I'd look to transition your little Yorkie over to a raw food diet with extra oils and other supplements. This will harmonize better and recover more of himself. Plus stop any meds, vaccines, kibbles, most carbs, all sugars and any flea&tick or dewormers.

Question. When feeding a kibble with a salmon protein base, is the benefits of the omega 3 fish oils, rendered useless due to the process of making kibble? Especially wondering where omega 3 is an anti inflammatory, would a salmon based kibble help with seasonal food allergies...as well as doing the " kibble improvement " part of your series
    Thank You!

It may but I like to add actual fresh Omega 3's: Hemp Seed oil: amzn.to/3vDdtjX
Oils tend to oxidize in kibble, so less added the better so I can add fresh options myself. A combination of the hemp oil and canned sardines work best: 12 Pack Sardines - amzn.to/3vaXrj6
To improve the seasonal allergy aspect use freeze drid greens for antioxidants: Core Immune CARE - Daily Antioxidant and Nutritional Supplement - Greens: shrsl.com/3uv18

What are your thoughts on Ethoxyquin? .. I was horrified to read about the dangers of this product. I have managed to find some brands that don’t use it.. and I plan on transitioning my little girl over to one of them. The increase of cancer in dogs has to be food related….

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому +1

Yes, horrible stuff. Ethoxyquin keeps pet food fresh … but it’s also a pesticide! It’s not approved as a direct food additive
in foods made for human consumption …. but it’s still in pet foods. The FDA allowable amount in human foods is .5 to 5 ppm but in pet foods it’s150 ppm.
Good idea to transition over... plus.. add some fresh food to the mix, things like eggs, canned sardines (in water) and part cooked and blended veg. Plus some great probiotics:

Hey Dan! My brothers dog has been diagnosed with epilepsy, and he also had struvite Crystals and was desexed because of that. But that seemed to be the tipping point. As soon as he got desexed and put onto Kibble, the seizures started. This kibble was supposed to control PH levels to stop the struvite. But it seemed to make everything worse. His skin got significantly worse. He drinks an excessive amount of water, too.
He is on the Epilepsy meds, which has made him gain a lot of weight. What would you suggest as something to give him for struvite crystals? so we can get him off that kibble. I'm also getting him off the vet meds and going the CBD route, but I can't until we find an alternative for Struvite. Thanks!

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 місяці тому

Who the hell suggested all of that madness!!! I cant begin to tell you how wrong all of that was.
Struvite stones form due to excess magnesium, ammonium and phosphorus. Stones can also develop from bacterial UTIs. Basically a high PH urine.
What he needs now to get some balance back minus now missing his sex hormones is a fresh food diet and CBD oil daily to help lower the incidence of seizures.
Small dog, big dog? If you want to stick to kibble, only one I recommend is Ketoner as it's very small carbs, this is important: healthydogforlife.com/KetonaKibble Not cheap but good and high protein. When giving the days weight of food, take out 33% and replace with eggs, canned sardines (in water) and a little part cooked and blended veggies or add this freeze dried greens powder: amzn.to/3R1m3HR Not cheap but lasts long and a whole host of benneficial additions, particularly anti oxidants much needed. Been using it myself 20 years, it's the best. The dog needs a balanced diet and the PH will take care of itself.
Or if small dog could go freeze dried raw, just add warm water: Bixby Rawble - Freeze Dried Lamb - amzn.to/3kDbUmX This with CBD oil twice daily AM and PM will work.
Note: start new anything small and slow as the dogs gut is used to present diet, actually not so much considering the issues faced at present, hence the problems.. but start slowly and build up new diet with the greens starting from first meal as they also contain probiotics and mean not having to get severall other supplements as already contained in this one product.
The water drinking means the kibble is bringing on diabetes, gotta love vets and zero knowledge on nutrition. The new diet will fix this and weight and skin.
And there's my ebook with 3 main diets if wanting to know more in depth: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/

@@kaseyeveringham2867 Beautiful dogs! You can see the English version in my photo.
You can probably get the greens, maybe via Aus amazon, not the Ketona though.
What about transitioning him to a raw food diet, that's what my boy ate. CBD should be ok in Aus.
There's a lot of raw for dogs now in Aus and that's how I would go. My ebook covers the raw food diet too. You must get away from kibbles and any vet meds including vaccs and go raw, he's 3 that's young.
Seizures are only common because of synthetics (pet foods), vaccines/drugs and vet mis-diagnosis.

@DanScott1 He is the most amazing and human like soul ever! It sucks seeing him the way he is. I just searched for the greens and can get it here. I'm going to have a look at the other stuff. My brother said he is going to take him to a holistic vet and see what they suggest also! He originally was on a raw diet and developed Struvite crystals without the greens added. It would have been a different outcome if the greens were added in at the start, right?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 місяці тому +1

@@kaseyeveringham2867 Yes the diet must have been unbalanced. The greens help here in many ways. Start him off on raw green tripe (usually cow stomach), it's a complete food, comes frozen and you defrost in warm water to above room temp before feeding with the greens to compliment and easily digested. Go easy on the transition over a couple weeks to his gut gets used to new food, new gut bacterias.
With raw you want 3 meat options for variation ie beef, chicken, lamb, some eggs, some canned sardines and the greens and 10% offal/organs ie liver. And some of that meat on the bone ie chicken backs, go for 15% bone (calcium).

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  4 місяці тому

I'd have 3 meat sources ie turkey, lamb and beef. Keep any carbs very low. Lean the dog down in weight by 10% less food per meal over a month or three.
Eggs are great protein/complete food, canned sardines: amzn.to/3vaXrj6, some good organs ie liver at 10% of meal and raw plus the veg, part cooked and blended.
Must have at least three meat sources. Can always give some raw green tripe: shrsl.com/3yxwk great complete food, just defrost to above room temp and serve.
The less cooked a food is the more nutrition it contains. And use a soil based probiotic if there's yeast: amzn.to/3yoURqU
And add this greens powder, it's the best and makes a difference: amzn.to/3R1m3HR
