Pallet forks get a lot of use around here! Very handy for sure! I had a small 16' utility trailer but had ended up getting a 35' gooseneck to use for hauling hay, but also my tractor when I need to.
Extremely worthwhile video on the landplane usage. Made my mind up now not to buy the boxblade after watching this presentation. For my needs the plane will be just fine.
Pulls it well, truck will pull more than it will hold up and stop. Have to place tractor on trailer correctly to balance the weight and with the trailer brakes it handles with no problem.
My pallet forks are my least used implement, not sure why because everyone seems to love their forks more than anything else. I just don't really feel like I have much lifting to do beyond moving deer blinds in the hunt clubs. I use my grapple for almost everything, it lives in the tractor maybe 70% of the time, followed by the bucket and I do a lot of dirt work. As for the truck, I have a JD 4044M, with a big Tex 14ET (3,100 LBS) and a couple attachments I'm around the 7k lbs range, putting my trailer around 10k total. I had a Duramax and now shopping for a new truck. I would love a half ton but I am just afraid it may be too much for a half ton on a regular basis. I know what you mean about the trailer tho, mine is 20+2, and I agree sometimes I wish I had gotten a bigger one as the wheel on the bush hog sticks out between the ramps. I like to keep most of my weight over the axles and keep as little tongue weight as possible, but even the Duramax would squat if I had it too far forward. It's perfect without the bush hog tho. Love the video man I'm in north fl/ south Ga and can relate to your videos
Andy, It’s funny I don’t use the forks for pallets, it is usually something you would never think of. I feel your pain on the perfect combination but I don’t think there is one. To find something smaller to drive everyday and then be able to pull what you want to, tough find. Appreciate the comment!
I have a 24’ dovetail that allows me to haul my M7060 and a Landpride 2784 bushhog. I use an equalizer hitch, but still think I’m over the GVWR of my 1/2 ton GMC (tow capacity 8800lbs). I’d like to have an old 1 ton. I’d also like to have a land plane lol. By the way, I’m still waiting on the MX. No delivery date in sight.
That extra 4’ makes a big difference, it’s amazing to me that the supply chain has not caught up yet. Hopefully it will come soon! Appreciate the comment as always
Steve I would say you have a point, worse case scenario you could get some of those clip on forks but never had any dealings with them. When I grew up we never had a tractor with a front end loader and we always figured out a way. I guess where there is a will there is a way! Appreciate the comment!
Saw You "pushed" the stone (reverse) with the land plane, did not know that could be done. Nice to know it's not just a pull. Thank You
@@robertwikeljr-1522 👍I like it in reverse better than forward because your tractor rides on a graded surface when working on finish grade

Agree, you use them for way more than you would imagine! You shouldn’t have any problem fitting on 35’ 😀
Love the content!
Thank you
Rewatched! Driveway was horrible, but the land plans to take care of it!

👍🏻thank you
Any trouble hauling with a half ton pickup?

It came out great! I want to get a land plane. How do you like the land pride? I have a box blade but I have grass growing up through mine as well.
Thank you, Land Pride has been fine. I have had no issues with any of the 3 pieces I own
I like your videos 👍
👍🏻
the tractor 4000lbs loader 1400lbs ? tire ballast 1400lbs ?=6800lbs? just a thought nice machine
👍🏻thank you
You took the words right out of my mouth...
I would have a hard time finding pallet forks for my Massey Ferguson tractor it has the pin style quick attach

I think I use my pallet forks more than any other attatchment.
👍🏻definitely handy to have around!
I'll never know if the land plane will fix the driveway. I gave up after 7 minutes and you haven't started on it yet.
😀I guess you got TiredOfIt, I guess you have a point👍🏻
You need to put a few hundred pounds on it so it will dig
👍🏻would definitely help
Yes but the grass will get worse!
It will definitely need a dose of round up in the spring
