Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, After searching for literally hours you are the only one to address 3 point hitch height adjustment. Majority of other videos and online forums talk about how easy this attachment is and say "drop it and go". My initial experience by doing that caused it to plow like a boxblade, much too aggressive. I speculated that I needed to run it in a more "neutral" position rather than all the way down. I am grateful for your confirmation and insight.
I just acquired a new Kubota LX2610 and my first attachment is a Land Pride land plane. Thanks for the tips for a complete rookie. They will save me time and frustration on learning how to set it up and how to get the best results. Thanks Robert.
My pleasure! I don't use the land plane a ton, but it's one of the best attachments we have. It has its work cut out for it once spring gets here. Have about 500 ton of stone that needs smoothed out.
If you do have pot holes and the drive is hard packed gravel the use of the scarifiers is great. Dragging the plane and using the blads alone only hit the surface and should be used after you use the scarifiers. I love my land plane and it works great. I have also used it to grade/top dress a newly established yard. Very suprised how well it worked. Good content keep it up.
Glad to see your up & around much better now. Be patient it will come although it’s hard when you have so much you want to do. Most of all stay positive .
You got your lane looking good in no time with that plane Robert. We didn't get nearly the rain and wind that was called for. Only about a quarter inch here, driest start to March in quite sometime. You may have seen more being further south.
Great to see you on the ‘toys’ again! Careful with the quick hitch. Not everything may match. Might want to use a Pat’s quick hitch. Works great on my 3901.
@@PheasantLaneFarm it’s a nice set up for my hodgepodge of attachments. Still have to get off to connect the top link, but once the bottom 2 are on, the top link could be done with an arm & a half really easily.😉. Next thing you know, the Stihl will be back in your hands!
That sure does a nice, neat looking job. I love your grill guard. I will call you this week end and get the phone number for Zooks Welding to get mine on the way... unless you care to post his number and info. Thanks Robert. Loved the music.
Thank you for this Video. I am 65 - and was wondering how I will ever swap out the various implements on the TYM T25 Tractor - that was just delivered to my farm. I do not have a Person to help. You able to do it - - with as you said - “1 and 1/2 arms” - - says to me - - where there is a will - there is a way. People can regain much of what they once had - by stimulating the region that has been injured. Small hand movements - that a Person does not typically make - will create new Neural Pathways between the Mind - and the Body. I have learned much on recovery - and have even regained my ability to walk - after Violent Domestic Abuse - by my the-husband - made it nearly impossible for me to walk as far as the back of a grocery store. I utilized a clipboard - and put a pen between my toes - to write - in order to regain fine motor skills - and create new Neural Pathways between my Mind and my Legs. I also took some classes - on a Reformer Pilates machine. It is amazing the recovery a person can make - if that Person thinks they can. It is often referred to as the “Placebo Effect” - or “as a man thinks - so he is”. Your brother may find the attached video to be of interest. His own Mind / Body Interaction - is now taking over. fb.watch/kPxtIc5w4f/?mibextid=qC1gEa
Did you adjust the shoes up or down? I just got a 72” woods plane and found it digging in too much. I was also running it on the float position on my 3 pt.
Pretty well actually. I've used it on some land we cleared to really knock down the hight spots and loosen up the top soil so it was easier to move with the bucket.
Thanks for the shout out Robert. Sure enjoyed our conversation. It was golden.
We have to do it again sometime!
I can't imagine what you've been through. please try to stay positive. your channel is a great channel I don't miss a video.
That really means alot Josh. Thank you so much!
Well said Josh.. I definitely agree..
Great job - driveway looks good. I've never used a Land Plane - but you make it look like a great tool.
kubota company land pride looking at one there pretty cheap at kubota dealers
@@michaelmactavish1728 how much are they going for at Kubota?
Ita a great tool. Around here they got for 1200 to 1500 depending in size.
Glad to see you up and working- 👍. Continuing to pray for you.
Thank you very much! Thanks for watching.
Great job on the driveway.
Thanks David!
awesome video... more tutorial videos on the proper use of the land plane would be helpful to me and others I am sure.
I'll be sure to make one this spring once we dry out a little. Thank you!

I'm glad I could help! There are alot of fine adjustments that can be made to make the work more productive and enjoyable.

Thank you very much. I hope you are doing well after that snow. My wife has some family out there. Saw Some pictures.

Thanks for the comment. We had a bunch of stone hauled it in this drive. So far I really havnt had to drop the sacrifiers.
When you top dressed the yard how did you position the blades? Thanks
@on4acres on my landpride I raise the grader blades about an inch and let the rails run on the ground. When top dressing I tend to run in revers.
Subbed! One of my new favorite channels. I may be going to pick up a new land plane in the morning.
Thanks 11Bravo! Did you friend request our Fb page? I'll send you those brush guard pictures

I finally picked up the rest of my attachments from Everyrhing Attachments. A land leveler is one of them. Looking forward to using it soon too.

Thank you for the insight. There is always a way if we look hard enought.
Check out "Pat's" quick hitch system. I have an L3901 with manual transmission and I think it's much better than the frame type quick hitch.

This is kind of off topic, but what are using to record your videos? I’ve been wanting to start a channel, but I’m clueless where to start.🤷🏻♂️
Tried a few things, been using a Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra. Has an amazing camera.
roads only? hows it work on feilds

Your driveway look perfect before you planed it!!
I find the land plane performs better with the 3 point in float. Adjust agressiveness of cut with the angle.
More work, less talk.
Quick hitches are overrated.
I got one for the attachments I use most. Really works for the situation I'm in.
