Prynhawn da wraig hyfryd - My beautiful other half has bought me a Flight Vanguard (in purple) for my birthday. However, as a solid electric ukulele virgin, I’ve no idea as to how hard or softly I should be pressing the strings to get the best from it. Please keep up the excellent lessons. You’re a Star.
Diolch Scott. I find that pressing the strings much light with my left keeps the intonation better. I shall try and do a video on it over the Summer.

Great fun! I’ve got the Les Paul uke and it’s a blast to plug in and *shred* lol. Some black leather pants and I’m good to go. It’s hard to shred my dog has fleas, but you get the picture. That purple rain beauty is just awesome, love the finish and grain, and the fret markers are natty. Thanks as always 🙏

So you need a lot F the peddles and a amp for this one to work ? Will it come with extra strings ? Or best to order a set with the ukulele?
Hi, no you don't need any pedals but you do need an amp to play it. (and some amps have built in effects). It doesn't come with extra strings but you fit the top 4 strings of a normal electric guitar set.

Hi Robin, Thanks. Hopefully you've seen my more recent video about setup but basically an amp and cable to go from uke to amp and that's it.

Hi, Thanks. I bought it from the Southern Ukulele Store and they always set up their instruments really well. They have mentioned though that they do have to do quite a bit of setting up for Flight instruments sometimes, especially the electric instruments. I would recommend buy from a specialist uke shop as they will do a set up before shipping or at least be prepared to do some basic setting up of action and intonation yourself. Hope that helps.

I was going to ask if the Flight is low G or high g? Your picking at 16.29 appeared to be high g due to your playing of low notes only on the third string but that would be your years of ukulele playing avoiding high notes on the fourth string. At 1.27 you show it has a thick fourth string thus a low G. I'm impressed. It's a wonderful electric guitar ... er ... tenor uke. Now, how to get my wife to buy me one for my birthday?

Here is the states one store has a pre order price of $399 ... another places wants $699 for it. In the UK it would cost $331 us dollars. US prices are too rich for my blood. Nice instrument though
Might be worth asking how much shipping wuld be from UK, I've bought from the USA and have sometimes managed to get it cheaper than if I'd bought it here. Eitherway, hope you do manage to get one at some point.

Yes! I have looked at bird inlay stickers but think they may look odd because of the off-set blocj markers. We'll see..............
