First video of yours I’ve seen - NICE !!! I’m from the same era, started collecting in 1982. The canseco was the crazy hot card to get, Dwight Gooden (84 traded was the first traded set I ever bought). Remember how hot 86 Vince Coleman cards were !!??? Man I loved the reveal and all these cards. Gives me hope because I have THREE orders at PSA from June, three different specials including the $8.88 special. In my special I’m waiting for two 84 Topps Mattinglys which have gone up crazily since I submitted! I think there are some Donruss Reggies in there, a Billy Ripken error, I think some 82 Fleer. Can’t wait and I’ll video it when I get em !! Glad I found your channel.
Thanks for watching! That's awesome that you have a submission coming back soon. All of the cards (and years) you mentioned are going to be awesome to see in a PSA slab. Good luck! Keep me updated when you get them back.
Definitely dig the 80’s cards. It is really nice to see them start to finally appreciate in value. Loved the 85 and 86 Donruss cards. The Canseco was the Holy Grail when I was a kid. I’m just a big fan of the black or dark border cards. They are hard to get in a higher grade which makes it all the better when you do! Well Done Sir!! Dustin
I feel your pain sent in June 2020 for similar special tracking says delivered, they didn't receive it until Aug to start process and I just got them back June 2021. They seem to be catching up though another special I sent out 2 months later is arriving soon. I feel like they are tougher on baseball.
congrats on the nice grades -- FYI -- the volume at PSA isn't going down for years...I am guessing they are close to 1.5 to 2 million backlog currently, and volume submitters are sending them 10 to 15 thousand cards a week...the backlog is increasing every day...no end in sight with all the new blood/collectors coming into the hobby
Wow, this really brought back a lot of fond memories for me. I was an avid collector in the mid 80’s, and have a whole bunch of these cards stashed away. Thought my boy would be in to it too, but alas, the Z-Gen’s just don’t have that drive. Oh well. How do you find out about the PSA (or other Grading Co.’s) specials? I might be very interested in having a batch of mine graded.
Thanks for watching. I loved going through all of these old cards, especially after them bring stored away for so long. And I'm in the same boat, my kids are interested -- but they don't have the drive either.
250 bucks to those graded, are they even worth that much, I've got thousands of cards all the way from the 60s, 70s, 80s ,90s, I have no idea what they are worth
When you submit older cards do you recommend avoiding any modern cards in the same shipment? Not sure if I’m overthinking the psychology of the psa graders haha
@@CardFellas thanks just curious I’m waiting on an economy from July still I’m guessing my 6 value subs probably end up taking a year this is getting ugly
Gotta love 80's baseball cards!
They are the best! Junk wax era forever! Thanks for the comment.

I'm hearing 9s are more marketable now so you did really well here.

Thanks for watching and the comment! I agree, 85 and 86 Donruss were such awesome cards.
I stumbled across your channel. I really enjoyed the video (the editing at the beginning was fun). You got a new subscriber :-)
Awesome! Thank you! I really appreciate it!

I cannot believe how much a Gem Mint card from 1980-1986 goes for. My Ryan from 80 Topps is like $350+ in Mint 9.
Love the cards !!!

You're absolutely right! About 2-3 months ago, I was waiting for the bubble to burst, but the hobby is only getting stronger!
Nice editing buddy. New sub.👍

Thank you!
Gotta love the Straw !
One of my faves! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Oh yeah, the quarterly specials are at the bottom of the PSA website. The next new special will be coming out on April 1.
I got myself a Dan Marino RC at a great price......should i get it graded?
Depending on the condition a lot of those Marino’s are off center
Exactly what RussBoski88 said
I have thought alot abouts sending in some older cards, i will have to hope for that qtrly special.

Depending on the card, in 10s they are worth a fair amount. Some 9s are strong as well.
When you submit older cards do you recommend avoiding any modern cards in the same shipment? Not sure if I’m overthinking the psychology of the psa graders haha
Now I'm on the hunt for one of those sneaky, frisky low-pops!
HAHA! My buddy came up with that term. I stole it because I love it!
What’s the value of the Expos Randy Johnson 9?
You forgot to mention you sent this submission in 1989 😂
Solid submission. 1884 Doc and 83 Strawberry are some of my favorites of all time.
If you grew up in the 80s, those were two of the cards you wanted to have! Thanks for watching!
Bonds fleer # 1974 insane
What day where these checked in
Hey JB,
They were entered into the system on 6/27/20. Thanks for the question.

best openning ever! cardboard crack heads! you won my subcripton and i cancelled at the others! now on to the video!
Why do u grade cards that dont book for under $10 dollars
I didn't know any better when I submitted these cards. I thought they were all 10s. I'm learning.
Get a bandaid
HAHA! That was nasty for me to look at during this editing session!

Don't you get tired of sending psa clean, beautiful cards and lots of money to have them consistently undergrads and devalue your cards?
These r definitely NOT YOU'RE CHILDHOOD CARDS SMH...TROLLLLIIINNGGG🤦🏽♂️
pissing your money away on grading anything from the 80's....way to many cards
Cardboard crack addicts was a solid greeting 😂
