The 6.7s are the best . In the oilfields thats all we run. They never give up or stop going and going ! Ford really put the heart and soul into this engine. Steel pistons and super stout rods and crank. Fuel system is bullet proof and the whole oil system is just amazing. An amazing engine for sure
Love my 6.7 powerstroke! I Wanted a Cummins all my life but drove by my current truck now one day, test drove it, bought it on the spot and never looked back after that
I have a 99 7.3 with a zf6 manual transmission. My truck has 1,246,000 miles. My doors are almost rotted off the cab but my truck still runs like a champ.
Got a 21 6.7 after driving Chevys since I was 16 I’m 42 now and so far been very impressed no regrets..On another note I always lived those 6.0 trucks they just always looked good with the big box cab and some meatballs on it..
I have a 2012 (230k mi) and a 2015 (123k mi) 6.7s. Love these trucks! I work them hard and they don't disappoint. They also have power for days! I had a E99 7.3 before that and loved it until I drove a 6.7.
my first diesel was/is my 2011 6.7 absolutely love it. grew up around Cummins and LLY-LML Duramax and thought they were great but jumped on the Ford bandwagon and it's been awesome.
I have a 2011 F350 after getting some turbo issues fixed I love it. I have 37s under it and a welding bed and it pulls my 43ft 5th wheel like it's not even there.
I bought my 2015 6.7 two years ago. I absolutely love it. I’m surprised you didn’t touch on the CP4 subject at all. Really it’s the only weak spot on 2015+. The first gen of 6.7 also had some turbo failure problem.
Hell yea! My dream truck is a F250 Tremor Powerstroke on 37s. Can still be used as a daily, hunting/fishing/mild offroad, tow rig and everything in between! Awesome all around truck!
My dads got a 3.5in life on his 2017 lariat and it clears the 37s on 10-12 wides with no rub and it’s an amazing truck, roughly 700hp for a dang work truck
I’ve got a 2011 F350 King Ranch SRW that had a 5/10 build date. The truck has 148,000 miles on it and the only real issue I’ve fought is front end wondering. The truck opted to identify as a late 60’s Ford and underwent an operation to have some parts removed. So far the turbo is hanging in there as that’s a common failure prone part. I tow a 42’ 14,000 fifth wheel RV and the truck has no issues with power. I do wish it had an exhaust brake because it’s hard to keep it at a safe speed when hauling in mountainous terrain. I have the Sterling 10.5 rear equipped with 3.55 gears. The 35” tires actually reducers the gearing to a low 3.40 so I’d like to install some 4.10 gears front and rear to alleviate some of the engine workload. Otherwise, the truck has been fantastic. There is a guy local to my area with the same exact truck with 500,000 miles and he said not a single major failure has occurred. There is another truck posted on @PowerStrokeTechTalk that has a 2013 Lariat with over 1.3 million miles on the clock. The guy has a small repair list but nothing exhaustive. I really think Ford hit the nail on the head with this engine. Cummins is no longer the king of the highway. I honestly believe Ford has taken that crown.

I've got an OBS 97 7.3 of my own with 360k and it still runs like a tap. Rides like trash but I wouldn't trade it for the world. The 6.0s sound great and the 6.4s had a good looking front end, but the 2018+ 6.7s are awesome as hell.
I have a 2020 F250 with the 6.7 powerstroke. The engine is aggressive, has lots of torque, and can easily tow heavy loads up the Tennessee mountains. Grew up a Chevy guy, but this truck has made me a Ford man for life!
I have a 2016 F-350 powerstroke and I love it. One thing that I can say is that it gets the job done. Whether I’m going to a job or hauling equipment there is always superb performance and quality ride
Thanks for the video! I have a 15 250 Lariat 6.7 I picked up in 2019 that was bone stock with a little over 94,000 on it. I’m at 124,xxx and counting and I’ve taken it everywhere, and it’s my daily driver. I took an almost 1000 mile one way road trip from Texas to Wyoming in Feb of 21 during snowmaggedon and when I got there it started right up in -40 weather. Overall, I plan on keeping my truck for 1million miles but I do get envious of all the technology these new 250s have in them lol.
Ive got a 6.0 with 200k miles on it and I love that think it’s quick and hasn’t given me any problems… I’ve changed the oil cooler but because I thought it was leaking oil which it wasn’t 😢
My 2011 with 230k miles is still a baby. I just had Power stroke Specializes seal all the oil leaks. Looking forward to the next 200k miles. It's deleted, and has a towing tune. Stock ceramic bearings. Runs like a top.
Had a 2011 f250 king ranch 6 inch lift 37/13.5/22 14" big offsets fender had to be 12" over the tire, egr/dpf delete and 5" straight pipe. Raced the truck had a ton of fun doggin it, even took it off road a few times and never had a major issue with it. Bought it with 160k miles with all the work already done to it. You could tell the two other previous owners had already been rough with it. Had the connector come off the turbo and had to plug it back in. Had to replace both front hubs and put a rough country steering stabilizer to keep it from death wobble, only issues I had from the lift and big wheels. Covid stole my truck! When I get back up I'm gonna buy another 6.7l powerstroke absolutely a awesome truck!!
Good buy. The earlier year 6.7s are known to be more reliable than the current models. You have pretty much the same engine with a milder factory tune. The new trucks are known to crack pistons and or the crankshaft causing it to need a complete rebuild
Definitely would think about getting a 6.7 for work. Unfortunately my first and current diesel truck is the 6.4! But it sounds great and no issues probably because no dpf
Good luck with her. 6.4s just really need to be on top of maintaince intervals to keep the oil from too much fuel dilution. Other than that you'll be told everything under the sun what's wrong with those trucks.
Just got my 2020 6.7 in April and it has not disappointed.... Great power and mileage at the same time..... Have not deleted it or lifted it waiting for my 100k warranty to past and than the fun begins.... My 6.4 was an awesome truck but only 10 mpg while tow or daily at 13mpg the 6.7 is a beast....wonder wat it will sound like when I open up that turbo .....
I have a 2017 6.7 and I love love love the dam thing. Its reliable very powerful starts in the cold no problem not great on fuel but still an awesome machine.
I have a 2020 6.7l 4door white FX4 & it’s been great. Got 54,000+ on it now, much of that is off road driving with the ranches I work at. Service it every 10,000 miles & everything’s been good so far. When the warranty runs out, I’m gonna get the DEF deleted. I just hope it holds up like the 7.3’s did.
Best truck I ever owned I have a 2015 f250 power stroke 6.7 had it now for 4 years I’m second owner and before I got the truck it had the injection pump replaced at around 65-70k miles
The new trucks are really beautiful but I got to say my 2002 7.3L is too good to let go. Going to completely rebuild the engine including swapping out the lower end and doing a complete interior swap to a 2016 King ranch. Hoping to reach around 800hp and 2k+ torque. All in all avoiding EPA as well because I am exempt. And I don't have to deal with DEF
I have 2004 PS, no major problems. I monitor the EGT, Oil and water. Towing I have 13-16 deg differential. I tow a 30 foot bumper pull at around 9-10k. Getting worried about transmission. I change the fluids regularly.
Considering in buying a 2017 6.7 as my first diesel, but the stories i hear about what the bill is to repair a diesel terrifies me. Does anybody know how reliable this motor is?Has anybody had any problems with it at all at high mileage? Electronic issues?
My father has a 2011 6.7 powerstroke with about 120,000 miles on it and has never had any problems. Take that with a grain of salt as everybody's experience is different, but from what we have seen it has been great, I don't know what this guy was talking about when he said the earlier generations weren't reliable. Theyre leagues above any other diesel
My dad has a 2011 with 200k miles and supposedly that’s the most problematic model year. Haven’t ever had one issue. Not exaggerating, no drivetrain components or sensors have ever failed. Brother had a 2015 that was just as reliable. They’re really dependable trucks
I have a 2015 250 PS. I personally like the 15 era body style. And runs like a champ. Tuned and deleted, pulls like playing tug of war with a 2 year old.
I have a 14 F250 with the 6.7L and I love it. The only thing that's annoying about it is the valve ticking some times happens after oil changes and between 100k-150k miles the vacuum pump starts to leak. The pump is an easy fix though (currently my issue lol).
@@cr250rish they are great trucks! Like I mentioned above, the only real issues that the first 2 generations of 6.7 were basically because it was a new engine and platform at the time so there were inevitably going to be issues. Another thing to look into is not just how many miles it has but how many hours its run, because a lot of times trucks can be running idle while on jobs and such. Also I've read that the turbos start getting week around 120k miles as well, but by then you've gotten your worth out of it and is a good time for an upgraded system anyways.
My 02 with the 7.3 is beyond 455,000 miles. It is not running as great as it used to, but I have two other trucks and a Grand Cherokee. I only drive about 10,000 miles a year and I try to split it between all of them... My brother-in-law drives a 2015 Denali 2500. That diesel scared the shyte out of me. I launched it in 4H @ 4K RPM. It barked and went to warp speed . It is the fastest stock diesel truck I have ever been in.
First diesel/current truck built 11 6.7 grew up around Cummins but went ford and I love it built motor trans 180%overs s488 dual fass 290s much much more to much to list she’s a runner tho at 79k miles never skipped a beat
Got a 2011 f350 with 250k miles for towing I've had her for months I bought her with a leak and a couple codes and she has never let me down I just dropped her off for a complete engine reseal and a egr delete I should have a timeless truck after. I love my 6.7
I don't mean to be that guy, but my dad has a 2012 gen 1 6.7, completely bone stock no delete, at 250k towing miles. Pulled campers cross country most if its life. Original engine, trans, turbo, rears, literally zero major issues. Still drives like a brand new truck. Idk if id call that "unreliable". I know they have turbo issues but this ones been fine
I have 2 6.7s a 2011 with a 2015 turbo tuned and deleted with some etx goodies making little over 800hp I also have a 2019 that is getting the same done
COVID really f'd everything up but I bought a 2011 supercab shortbed f350 lariat fx4 every option except navigation (even has air conditioned seats) for 23.9k with 140k miles.
Own a 2019 f350 and love it. Tho it is expensive to maintain compared to my 97 f250 that i sold to get my new truck. And i did have to correct the caster so it quick death wobbling.
Went and test drove a 2016 ford 6.7 27 k and a 2017ram 6.7. Ford seem more refined ram trans was rough shifting 83 k on ford now been great. For what its worth .bolth were nice
A guy I worked for for 13 years just sold all his 7.3’s and got 6.7’s( tax write off) he ran them since their inseption. Every truck had 800k miles on them. I think 8 of them had over a million. He had about 60-70 of them. All we did was change oil 5k and fuel and air filters every other oil change
My dad had a 2012 6.7 and was probably the best truck we owned, made crazy good power, was super reliable and with a tune was great for towing. Only had one major problem with it becasue of the DEF and emissions crap. He even bought a 2021 6.7 and that hasn't showed any problems at all, sadly can't tune it because of warrenty :(
Picked up 21 lariat ultimate blackout, put kmc’s with baja boss 35s and oem style fenders which I took to get line-x… this truck is a dream, torque and hp is indescribable and ride comfort is imperator quarter’s-like. Would go further but out of the fancy words
Have for 7.3s wife drive excursion. Deer jumped and took my haulers muffin cap back. So I purchased a 2015 king ranch 350 drw. Could be happier. Totes 42k without going to half throttle up a steep grade. That truck is made for work if temps go up. Secondary cooling system immediately kicks in like the Marines and it goes down in litterally a second. Nuff said for me. And compared to the 7.3, it’s like that 6.7 keeps a snort of blow in the tank ready to rip. And it’s 100% stock!!!! 😏at least for another couple weeks 😅
I live my 6.7s my hauler 16 f550 tuned deleted 240k on the clock and my beauty 11f250 lifted 12” with 300k on the clock also tuned and deleted both have only needed injectors
@@TexasNationalist1836 still the 6.7, it's been out for 10 years now and is still regarded as the best in terms of reliability and power. Besides 7.3s had all sorts of problems with things like: camshaft position sensors failing, leaking fuel filter housings, turbo up-pipe leaks, bent push rods / valve springs, exhaust back-pressure valve failure, injection pressure regulator failure, and more lmao.
My wife told me she wanted a big truck so last year for Christmas we stopped by Ford and I bought her a 2017 F250 Platinum. The 6.7 is a beast and Wifey told me she needs a 6in lift and wheels.. so guess what's coming this year for Christmas 😉
Personally, I'm not a fan of the front ends they came in, but i would definitely swap one into an older model like a late 90s or an early 2000s model body.
Performance aside, I personally believe the 2017-Current Super Duty’s are the most aesthetically pleasing.
Definitely
Definitely a great looking truck for sure! -Dustin
Finally someone sees what I see !! It’s so beautiful
That with a Cummins inside would be the perfect truck
Would still pick a CC obs over them.

I got a 2016 6.7 Powerstroke and it’s a beast. No problems at all.. best truck I have ever had and I’ve had them all
Still nothing touches the 6.0 sound wise, trucks hit tones outta this world when they're running 👌

All in all avoiding EPA as well because I am exempt. And I don't have to deal with DEF
You’ll spend a million dollars getting a 7.3 to 2,000 ft lbs of torque. You best get it built out of airplane metal
@@treyivey5431 oh you would be pleasantly surprised haha, it will definitely be worth it in terms of reliability and not having to deal with EPA
I have 2004 PS, no major problems. I monitor the EGT, Oil and water. Towing I have 13-16 deg differential.
I tow a 30 foot bumper pull at around 9-10k.
Getting worried about transmission.
I change the fluids regularly.
Picking my 2022 6.7 in two weeks and I can’t be more excited
They’re gtg for sure
I have a 2011 6.7 with 250 k miles .. still runs and drives like new. ** Maintenance is key
I have a 2015 250 PS. I personally like the 15 era body style. And runs like a champ. Tuned and deleted, pulls like playing tug of war with a 2 year old.
I love my 17 with 78xxx lifted on 40s!
I have a 14 F250 with the 6.7L and I love it. The only thing that's annoying about it is the valve ticking some times happens after oil changes and between 100k-150k miles the vacuum pump starts to leak. The pump is an easy fix though (currently my issue lol).
Do you pre fill the oil filter?
They all tick after an oil change
A looking at a 2014 with 80k miles 35k are they good trucks
“And my teeth chipped like my new 6.7 all black like Cash front gate like heaven” - Upchurch
UP-MUTHA-FUGGIN-CHURCH
Can’t beat the 6.7’s my company truck has 316k on it and hasn’t skipped a beat
Love my 2011 F250 with 218,000 miles. Still strong as bull!
Is it deleted?
6.7 powerstroke is god
First diesel/current truck built 11 6.7 grew up around Cummins but went ford and I love it built motor trans 180%overs s488 dual fass 290s much much more to much to list she’s a runner tho at 79k miles never skipped a beat
Got a 2011 f350 with 250k miles for towing I've had her for months I bought her with a leak and a couple codes and she has never let me down I just dropped her off for a complete engine reseal and a egr delete I should have a timeless truck after. I love my 6.7
Be good for another 250K that's for sure!
Had a 2011 in the past and I miss it
I don't mean to be that guy, but my dad has a 2012 gen 1 6.7, completely bone stock no delete, at 250k towing miles. Pulled campers cross country most if its life. Original engine, trans, turbo, rears, literally zero major issues. Still drives like a brand new truck. Idk if id call that "unreliable". I know they have turbo issues but this ones been fine
Love my 2021 F350 6.7L King Ranch Long-Box, lifted on 37's and rides like a dream
Sounds badass!
@@CustomOffsetsTV and crap sorry
Love my 2014 Ford F-250 Lariat. Got a 8inch lift on some 37inch tires and she lookin mean and is a pulling machine
Love my 19 platinum. Lifted 8” and still hauls ass. Lol amazing trucks.
Have to agree the 6.7 turbos sound so good
And then at mile 80,000 a whole truck blows in flames
Every time I hear “and as always..”
I’ll say “have nice day” in FPS Russia accent lol.
But yes I love my 2013 f250!
hahaha, forgot about that one!
I have a 2019 f250 and i have 35” tires by 1250 on 20” rim 14 wide completely stock had to do minor minor trimming on inner fender
Own a ‘13 and the next one will be 6.7L too! Awesome stuff
Bought 6.7 and has no complain. Looking to get s366sxe soon with lift and tire
OF COURSE they are worth it!!! Ford trucks are the BEST hands down. No comparison to the crapolet or dodge...
Got a 1996 7.3 with 680,000 miles and a 2001 with 400,000 miles. Now hopefully get that out of my 6.7 currently 230,000 miles
I have 2 6.7s a 2011 with a 2015 turbo tuned and deleted with some etx goodies making little over 800hp I also have a 2019 that is getting the same done
I bet both of those are a TON of fun- Dustin
6.7 is my dream truck. Just can't quite afford one yet.
Go drive ones that are tuned and deleted it'll really show you the difference, stock for stock they're both lack luster is the unfortunate part
I own a 2016 6.7 from its been a good truck to me no complaints
Can’t beat that!
He even bought a 2021 6.7 and that hasn't showed any problems at all, sadly can't tune it because of warrenty :(
hopefully you tuned it. I know of a "friends" 16' 6.7, tuned at 9000km, no issue to this day engine or trans wise.. 413k kms currently
My boss has a built 2015 f450 that spines the tires pulling a tractor and its king ranch
Those 450s are awesome! DmaxRyno is doing a sick build on one! -Dustin
@@CustomOffsetsTV yeah he is. Can’t wait to have my own truck at Mac a doodles this year 😂
One of my grandfathers had the first body style 6.7 my other one has a 2017 6.7 and my dad has a 6.7 tremor on the way
Both our ambulances are F550s 4x4s both have Ben really reliable, minor things have gone wrong, one has hundred thousand on it.
Picked up 21 lariat ultimate blackout, put kmc’s with baja boss 35s and oem style fenders which I took to get line-x… this truck is a dream, torque and hp is indescribable and ride comfort is imperator quarter’s-like. Would go further but out of the fancy words
Some of the first ambulances I worked on were early 90’s PowerStrokes. They were beasts.
95-97 was power stroke. Early 90 was idi 😉
@@240sxRule 7.3 PowerStroke debuted in 93. Was in production 94-03. 😉
@@hardway1746 Power stroke wasn't in production untill halfway through 94. Not quite early 90, more so mid 90's 😉
Make a series taking about best years to purchase each diesel please and thank you
Definitely best looking truck on the road
And I'm a chevy guy
These are the best diesels on the road an yes I own one
1997 F-350 Dually 7.3L, I’m doing a build soon but gotta have the money for the lift and wheels.
Got one. Love it. Nuff said.
The only problems I've had with my 2015, F350, 6.7L is the exhaust and DEF.
It took you 6 minutes to get to the topic of this video. Bravo 👏
I live my 6.7s my hauler 16 f550 tuned deleted 240k on the clock and my beauty 11f250 lifted 12” with 300k on the clock also tuned and deleted both have only needed injectors
Sounds like some stout trucks you got there man!
@@CustomOffsetsTV yes sir they are some serious pieces of machinery
Love my 2017 6.7 F250!
Make a video on all the power strokes please and I have a 2003 7.3 power stroke
Yes I would and do own a 16 Platinum.
My dream truck
I love the 6.7 babyyyyyy
Thoughts on a 2014 f350 with 165k how would the reliability be. Or should one not even consider?
I’d it was maintained well. Should be fine!
Yes
So what’s the best Ford Powerstroke engine
Easily the 6.7
@@airdubz9798 so the 6.7 is better than the 7.3
Depends. Power or reliability
@@CustomOffsetsTV reliability
Let’s go! That’s badass
I would say do a vid on the 6.0, but you guys would probably just say nothing but negative things about it. Even though it's a heck of an engine
Plenty of good to say about them!
… but a LOT more bad to say. It cost ford over $2BILLION in warranty repairs.
6.0 and 6.4 will always be the best and most powerful!
Hhhhhhhheeeeeeeellll yeah
You guys gotta go the 7🌲
Personally, I'm not a fan of the front ends they came in, but i would definitely swap one into an older model like a late 90s or an early 2000s model body.
I own one and i love it 240xxx hualing every day
