It's now 2023 and I'm THINKING about replacing my '08 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 HEMI with a 2023 2500 4x4 with the 6.7. I was looking for videos regarding the 6.7 engines. I can say, according to a local body shop, the wheel well arch rust is due to some king of sound deadening foam that is put in the panels. It while it deadens noise it prevent water from drying out thoroughly. Too me this made sense because I park my truck in the driveway facing in the same spot facing the same direction every day. The south (sunny) side of the truck still doesn't show any signs of rusting but the north side (shady) did. Seems the sun hitting that side of the truck prevented water from standing in the area. Since my 08 only had 50k miles on it I had the fender replaced. 😃 It was actually better than cutting and patching the wall.
I use one in a Ram 5500 chassis everyday that has a wrecker body on it. It’s constantly being worked hard pulling heavy loads. It’s been extremely reliable and has a lot of hours on the motor. I’ve never had any issues with the DEF system and it always starts up. The Ford F-550’s we have are a whole different thing with constant problems. It’s also very comfortable and has more room over the Fords. The Ram I use everyday has paid or it’s self 20 times over in the 5 years I’ve had it.

It's now November and I just bought an 08 3500 with the Cummins but she's got a healthy dose of skin cancer. And it's a mega cam. Prices are closer to 30-35k now for cleaner bodies but mine was only 23k with 175,000 on the odometer
i owe a 2013 4th gen cummins and truthfully the best purchase ive made as of now aha
Just sold my 7.3 to buy a 4th gen 6.7 and I love it
Kinda made the same move myself man, Love it! - Rainey
There some ol' boys that swear by the 5.9. They just haven't run the 6.7 yet. Can't beat the power and longevity.
Mine is a keeper for life.
Had one it’s great! - rainey
Best truck in the market!! Inside and out
I would love to own a 6.7 if they weren't going for 30k plus with 300k miles out here in Cali.
Just bought a 2007.5 cummins absolutely love it
Bought a 17 today here in ny with 80k miles for 30.5. Think i did ok but its got a little rust starting, but here in ny its impossible not to. Of course its deleted just hope i dont have issues with inspection.
I have a 2018, last year for the 4th gen body style and I never plan on letting it go.
I have a 2014, the first year ram changed to your trucks updated 4th gen body style. Want to trade…😅
@@masonburke8487 What part of never letting it go didn't you get ?😂 Enjoy yours man!. I just wish I'd have gotten a crew cab long bed g56. Mines a short bed 68rfe. Still love it though
Love my ‘12 3500 longhorn. You can beat on it and pull heavy loads and I swear it only gets better every time😂
The g56 may be less "beefy" on paper, but it will beat the 68 in reliability and it is better for towing imo.
100% agree and when it does blow up a build is cheaper than an auto build. Other than rough shifting compared to a nv5600 I love my g56
I have a 2nd gen with a nv5600. I tow all the time. I’m in the market to get another Ram with a manual, I only drive manuals. The rep of that g56 is all over the map. I’ve got 400k on my nv5600 and 300k on the first street double disk clutch from valair. Ya, it’s loud. What kinda miles to issues are you guys at? I’m inclined to find a clean 3rd gen with a nv5600 from my experience with one. But being able to ask for someone else’s direct experience is appreciated. Maybe I’m miss informed on its reliability.
@@sawdustadikt979 Go with a 4th Gen g56 I've owned two and they're bulletproof. Be prepared to replace clutch if you tune factory clutch will start slipping with extra power. I've never owned a nv5600 but I love g56. 2012 is last year without DEF that's what I own.
Best diesel truck I have ever owned!!!
Owned Cummins 6.7L TURBO DIESEL 2022 no complaints
If your watching this video becuse your on the edge about buying a 6.7 DO IT. I have 0 regrets about buying mine.
I have a 2006 mega cab 5.9 Cummins. I love it. I don't want A 6.7, the motor isn't loud enough, almost sounds like a gas engine.
These trucks are hard on suspension parts; Ball joints, tie rod ends, control arms, oh and the steering box.
I got a 16 deleted and tuned with a Randy’s stage 2 trans I love it
i own a 2018 Ram 3500 fleet side 6.7 Cummins SLT and love it.
i already got a 6.7 probably the best truck ive ever owned
Got a 21 CC 3500 HO Laramie recently. Upgraded from 18 cc 2500 6.4, what a fucking difference. Use it for tree biz, got the extended warranty till 100k, then going to delete it.
Worth every dollar!!
Non VGT for the win everyday
2007 was a great year. My 6.0 Power Stroke was born. Greatest trucks ever made. The new RAMs are nice but I’m getting a 22’ F-350.
6.0 is trash😂
😂😂 💩
I have a 2007.5 Dodge 6.7 6 speed manual . I love it. Not selling!
Keep it nice, they're going to go up in value!
Love me some Cummins 💪
Halo 3 and a Dodge let’s go!
I'm very impressed with my 2020 Ram 2500 Diesel Cummins. It's the best 😊
Like the 6.7, but gotta stay with my 5.9 12V.
Yeah I love my 6.7 only 81k in it for a 4th gen I know the 68 will go but. I have her on a mild tune running 37s. I do a lot of mild hauling and overlanding. Occasionally off-road recoverings. It’s held great I got moeny aside for the day the 68 gives to replace it with a aisin or a g56. Id love a duramax but ifs won’t fit it for me I like the 6.7 but their 10 speeds are dog water. 68 fre is a step on trans if you’re not throwing stupid power at it and throwing some obsrud tire size without re gear they won’t shit on you.
I've, got an 07 1/2 with the last of the 5.9. with the g56. Fooo sale. To the right person.
Owned a 06 5.9 mega cab for 5 years but rust took over before I had time or money to fix it. Just bought a 3rd Gen 6.7 megacab and so far I've been impressed just need to protect body from same rust issues. If anyone has some advise on best way to protect the body it would be greatly appreciated. Live as far NE in WV as you can go on Potomac River. KEEP UM CUMMINS
Ceramic coating is like rainx or you can bedline the chassis it's ugly but money well spent t
Buy a $10 spray gun from harbor freight and coat inside your doors, rockers and frame with your used oil no more rust problems. Been doing it for the last 14 years and frames stay like new
2020 2500 4X4 owner. Love it. Nuff said
This video is just what I needed
I'm getting one. That's why I'm here.
Waiting for mine to finally be delivered from factory going on 4.5 months right now
I’ve had a stock lly it was good, I have a 7.3 I like it. I’d buy a 3rd or 4th gen
Got my 6.7 a month ago. I love it
Just purchased 3500 dulley with HO engine. Love it.
Hell yeah, enjoy it!
No need to watch the video. A 6.7 Cummins is absolutely worth owning. Have had mine for 14 years and it's still going strong. Just did a second gen swap a long with an extensive list of parts because I wanted to show my girl how much I love her and it's worth every penny. Plus it's nice walking all those new EPA restricted vehicles ;)
I just bought a 2021 6.7 and i love it.
Congrats man!!
That name change threw me off, did not even notice the change till I went looking for a Dodge Ram 2500….my first Diesel and love the 6.7.
we have a 6.7 work truck with the boxes and cages and ladders in the back and we almost always tow a inclosed trailer with equipment in the back and it feels like it isnt even there such a great engine
Just bought my first diesel this year, a 21 ram 2500 6.7. It is one badass truck and it needs some wheels and tires!
Jeesh hell of a first diesel!
Actually it's pretty easy I have a 09 and easy able to lose weight pretty easy just gotta know where to look.
@@CustomOffsetsTV I pulled everything with a 2010 sierra 6.0 gas, it was time for an upgrade 🤘
I love Cummins and especially 4th generation Rams but they still had transmission issues...
Love my 6.7 been very reliable. I have bullet proofed the truck headstuds injectors s363 turbo banks monster Ram BD two piece manifold BD cp3 fass fuel system BD 33% over injectors mated with a stage 2 ATS transmission wouldn't trade it for nothing when you do performance upgrades match everything I mean everything don't be that guy who throws 200% injectors on stock fuel.
Just bought a 5th gen myself and i should be Happy, i mean i am yes but i miss my Single Cab HO Longbed, flame red😭
My 16 is a beast with minor modifications it gets it
I owned one. Bought a Powerstroke. Only thing i miss from the ram is the engine sound.
Tune with EZ Lynk, in my opinion sounds way way better
I own a 2015 ram 3500 MEGA Cab and it has 208,xxx miles on it and runs great!
Hell yeah!
This channel is basically the Fitment Industries of trucks
Well, I mean…. We’re the same 😘
What's the Holy Grail of a diesel
I love my 6.7 larime longhorn cummins best truck ever had
Just bought my 2014 6 speed 3500 RAM a few days ago and let me tell you coming from a 2002 2nd gen Cummins I FRICKIN LOVE IT! but first things first... Wheels and tires, and I'm thinking custom offset might be able to help with that.... 🙃😏
Definitely an upgrade man! Congrats! And psh, you know we can 😎
I have an 08 2500 with 122,000 miles. I haven't even had it I 6 months and I've had to spend 2000 dollars on repairs. It's been in the shop for two weeks hopefully they have it fixed .and didn't charge me anymore!!! Not happy withy purchase so far I'm back in my 99 Suburban it's been far more eeliable
2022 Laramie Cummins night edition best truck ever Made love the drive love ever thing about it so sick 🔥
