I think Venom is the best character (that was or happens to be villain) but Green Goblin is the best Enemy of Spider-Man in the comics But Doc Ock is the best Movie/Game Villain
God, the fight sequence on the wall is so incredible! They litterally both fight as thier respected animal. A spider and an octopus. Spider staying close and crawling around on the prey, and the octopus trying to grab limbs and surroundings for control. What a movie!
Some thug: "Come down here and fight like a man" Spiderman : "I dont suppose I can convince you to come up here and fight like a Spider" Doc Ock : "Hold my Tritium"
I think what's great about the Raimi movies is that they really feel like real-life comic books; the editing and transitions, the over-the-top acting, and drama, and even the music feel like old animated superhero shows. I love the MCU as much as the next guy but they were going more for A-grade action films with a sci-fi touch
I agree but the mcu does follow in a ,in universe comic feeling timeline like major events like end game and infinity war being the big issue and solo story’s like iron man 1 2 and 3 being like issues 1,2,3 of a comic that you can watch if You want but don’t have to to watch the big stuff like how actual comics flow
I'm convinced that the AI in the arms manifested Ock's subconscious, influencing his behavior and embracing the evil inside him that he never realized was there.
Raimi is really a master of Horror genre. Whether Osborn experiment scene in first Spiderman movie or Operation Chamber scene in this or even the part where Venom takes over Eddie in the Church in the 3rd Spiderman movie. They all had good horror vibes and scared us as children.
Now that I have seen the clips after all those years , I think that doctor was never the bad guy , if spider man didn't show up , he would have stabilized it . And all that robot did was to protect Doctor Octopus from the doctors . Robot arms didn't know what's right or wrong , it made the calculations and picked the result that matched it's original commands.
It feels so hard for him to destroy his masterpiece invention, the sacrifice to be made for the good of mankind, at least, he didn’t die as a monster, I like this kind of movies, they have redemption at least in the end.
@@tanphung9741 he can’t be compared to Arthas, he has chosen his path to vengeance and stripped his morals and belief as a Paladin, and even betrayed his comrades, purged Stratholme, he is already warned but didn’t listen to Muradin, he claimed the cursed Frostmourne, and scarred his soul.
Spiderman is supposed to be strong enough to lift a small car. One punch to Doc Octopus' jaw would be enough to break his jaw and likely KO him. Let alone 3. However, still some of the best scenes in comic book movie history.
From the comics we also learn that he pulls his punches. He doesn’t want to kill him. That isn’t his goal. No disrespect here but “strong enough to lift a small car” is the understatement of the century. He could lift 1 ton just with 1 finger. That isn’t even me being dramatic, that’s an actual thing.
This issue has always stucked out to me too.And I don't think they thought this through when they were writing the script for this movie. He always try to pull his punches. That we know. But look at all their fights,it doen't seem like he's holding back. In the heat of a fight,I don't think he would even be able to and I don't think he did here as well
I hope that after Doc. returns to this moment, 7:30 at the end of No Way Home, missing one of his mechanical arms and with an Arc reactor in his pocket, he asks for Spider-Man’s help to destroy the old reactor and they do it together. That way they both live after the machine gets drowned and Otto can reverse engineer the Arc Reactor to achieve his dream and give self sustaining clean energy to the Toby Maguire universe. From the MCU, Tony Stark’s Arc Reactor becomes Doctor Otto Octavius’s new fusion reactor in the Sam Raimi universe.
If you pause around 0:55, you can see some kind of metal device in each of the nurses hands that is being used to give the illusion that she is scratching the floor with her nails. You can actually even see that her nails are not even touching the ground at all lol

Hi everyone! Do you think Doctor Octopus is the best super-villain in the Spider-Man universe?
I think Venom is the best character (that was or happens to be villain) but
Green Goblin is the best Enemy of Spider-Man in the comics
But Doc Ock is the best Movie/Game Villain
Yes doc Octopus is the best
dam fucking straight
The best villain and he's so stylo
Without Green Goblin
This movie and the VFX still look incredible nearly 2 decades later.

Have you watched The Evil Dead trilogy?
@@dirkdiggler2430 yes we have
I always loved the quote at the end
"I won't die a monster" so stoked he's back in the new Spiderman 🔥
Honestly Dr. Octavius is a pretty good guy with a sad accident. The arms were controlling him, all he needed was the willpower to not listen.
I get that Alfred Monila nailed doc ock despite savagely murdering the technician doctors and surgeons that tried to cut off the mechanical arms
I'm convinced that the AI in the arms manifested Ock's subconscious, influencing his behavior and embracing the evil inside him that he never realized was there.
I think sometimes when you lose everything it makes you broken, but you still need to find the willpower somewhere to come back.
The ABSOLUTE BALLS of giving this trilogy to an amazing horror director.

Agree. Hospital scene has impressive effects - hard to understand where computer graphics.
Old one must scenes had literally real arms

What a masterpiece ! Genius Sam Raimy !
Boy, that nurse sure had strong fingernails. If she married Wolverine, you'd really have something.

The action scenes in this trilogy were all so engaging.
One of the best spider man movie 🎥 no doubt 🐐
