Awesome. Subscribed because of this vid. Before i knew what ASMR was i would watch MTG unboxing to get the crinkling tingles. Little did i know there was an entire ASMR world. The relaxation is real. +1 thanks
Well this suddenly became a very interesting day. I was just searching for a unboxing of the 2013 fatpack, but then I stayed for a hour listening to a man whispering and scratching on cardboard.
I just had to say thank you for this video. I haven't played MTG in over five years and it's so great to feel the nostalgia plus hear your relaxing voice. I really enjoyed this one. Thank you sir!
SuperGamer87 I don't AdBlock out of respect for the content creator. If you AdBlock, they don't get as much for their content as they might have done otherwise.
The Black Watcher You know, ad-blockers give you the option to turn off the ad-blocking functionality. Sometimes, for some videos, I do that. Of course, one is free to not use such, if they want. I was merely suggesting the option available to experience these soft-toned relaxing videos without loud ads.
Unlike other people, I don't get chills or tingles, certain noises just relax me so much that I can fall asleep. I've watched a lot of these videos and some of them are good, but then some annoying noise happens and I'm wide awake again. But this one, I have used it no less than 30 times to fall asleep...I have NEVER made it past just a few minutes before I'm conked out. You have done the impossible. This is going in my favorites.
I love your card, unboxing, and tutorial style ASMR videos! I get the best "tingles" from them! Can't wait for you to upload the Magic tutorial/gameplay!
I'm so happy that MTG ASMR exists. I subscribed to you previously due to your different was of approaching this whole ASMR thing. Now I find this! You're the best, good sir.
It's very interesting to go back to ASMR vids from 2013 or so, because this became a very new trend on UA-cam, and ASMRtists still needed to literally explain what it was. Now in 2020 it's like, "Sup, you know why you're here. >:)"
today is my birthday, i just had a wonderful conversation about ASMR with my girlfriend, and at 12:01am, i was watching this, im very happy i still am too :)
I love card openings! I was into Pokémon cards some time ago, but I actually don't know how to play the game. It was interesting to hear how magic basically works, although I just made it through half of the video, because I fell asleep! :D I was a little disappointed that you fast-forwarded the assembling of the deck boxes, because cardboard is a huge trigger for me. But nevertheless it's a great video! :)
I had so much fun playing this when we had our group of friends in Ann Arbor,Michigan, about 15 years ago. Players tournaments downtown and would love to go to the sports card shops and look for new single cards. Ahhh, the good ole days.
Brings back some good memories, I miss MTG but the only card store in my area closed a couple years ago so there is no place where I can play with other people.
At the beginning when you rubbed both boxes together for about 15 seconds, WOW! I rarely get tingles but that gave me them, very rare moment achieved! haha, love this video though, perfect length and from start to finish its just so relaxing, you defiantly got this relaxing technique down to a science! Simply outstanding, defiantly got yourself a new sub, thanks :)
Sometimes during school, I would pretend I am doing ASMR whenever I tear open anything covered in plastic or a box, mainly because of the videos you make.
Stopped playing magic like 10 years ago (after the mirrodin block) but I still know the rules and love it. Interesting to see a mixture of asmr and this game.
tingles, or chills. it happens to lots of people with different triggers. a common trigger is hair cutting/touching. videos like these attempt to recreate those experiences through visual and audible triggers.
I believe that there are novels for magic.... I know that I have seen a 3 chapter long story about a planeswaker before he learned how to cast spells and such and it looked like it was beginning to form a plot. It was actually really good.
This was great EXCEPT the sped up sections unwrapping the booster packs. I know you did if for time's sake; however, it really pulled me out of the experience, and I lament the lost tingles from watching and listening to you very slowly crack those packs. Otherwise, SO AWESOME.
Take your time! I know you are busy and have a lot of ideas going on in your head! Until then, I will continue to enjoy all of the amazing ASMR videos you put out!
Awww yeah! Ephemeral Rift, ASMR and Magic Cards. That is amazing. I've played Yu-Gi-Oh for years and that game is insanely and horribly broken, no point of starting now. In fact, as I'm watching this video, I'm pricing my cards to sell them. Meanwhile, I've recently gotten into Magic and I've really been enjoying it. Magic, Pokemon and Kaijudo (Duel Masters) are the only TCGs that are really worth playing.
ha ha this is awesome, i've only ever watched asmr videos that involved haircuts or beads etc etc and then youtube recommended this, i was like holy shit magic the gathering asmr videos!? thanks for the vid. i used to watch card videos all the time but none that were asmr
Never had the patience for card games, but I've always wanted to discipline myself to just sit down and learn how to play one. Maybe I'll start with this one.
Magic seems to be a great way to teach younger children intuitive thinking and simple math and algebra. Glad to see that he likes the game, definitely a great thing for a boy his age.
He has such great ideas! Could you please do more gaming videos ephemeral rift, your previous were very relaxing and interesting. Thanks for all your content.
ahh, you are going to make me want to play Magic again! Such a great fun game. I end up spending too much though to get those cards I need. Thus the reason I chose to stop.
I'm very much tempted to start up a little gaming/ASMR channel and have my first video be an unboxing of this here set. I've never played Magic but I've always wanted to learn!
I thought about doing some ASMR videos... I am actually quite familiar with MTG and have done some booster openings and unboxing videos in the past, though they were not ASMR videos... By the way... the white picutre is Ajani and the black is Liliana... and yes, they are both Planeswalkers.
All those cathedrals of war are a sign you should do an exalted deck. They mainly are black/white ones. Put in the catherals, your exalted creatures and some good attackers like tormented soul and ajani sunstriker (because lifelink is a good combination with exalted) and you should have a solid deck to begin with.
Hands down, best male ASMR whisperer on youtube.
Me to
Awesome. Subscribed because of this vid. Before i knew what ASMR was i would watch MTG unboxing to get the crinkling tingles. Little did i know there was an entire ASMR world. The relaxation is real. +1 thanks
Not As Clever Welcome to the club :)
This was actually where I discovered asmr in the first place, and I'm still coming back to it over and over again, thx so much
Nostalgia coming back to this video years later
My god, these triggers are just amazing. Especially with those plastic wraps, thank you so much for this :)
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear it worked for ya!
Thanks for watching :)
white is sky

Ads before videos really mess up the ASMR experience.
You might want to look into an ad-blocker. They're available for most browsers as an Addon (Firefox, Opera) or Extension (Chrome).
SuperGamer87 I don't AdBlock out of respect for the content creator. If you AdBlock, they don't get as much for their content as they might have done otherwise.
The Black Watcher Exactly
The Black Watcher You know, ad-blockers give you the option to turn off the ad-blocking functionality. Sometimes, for some videos, I do that. Of course, one is free to not use such, if they want. You prefer to see ads in the middle of the video?

The poster inside the box Paul! The Poster!!
I always get THE BEST tingles from your videos. I just love how unique they are in comparison to the rest of the ASMR community. Keep em coming!
The ASMR relaxed me but the boosters are so exiting! I just love surprises
I love this. You're the best. I've always felt that TCG openings are an untapped genre in ASMR.
I love your card, unboxing, and tutorial style ASMR videos! I get the best "tingles" from them! Can't wait for you to upload the Magic tutorial/gameplay!
This brings me back, man. I was a hardcore MTG guy and even went to tournaments. Getting a box or fat pack was a special thing. Great video, ER.
Not only do I love your ASMR videos but that you included MTG. One awesome dude! Good to know you're not embarrassed to show you're into it.
So many dumb comments, he is whispering cause of the Asmr
Oh man this comment messed me up
For the love of all things, please finish your sentence. The suspense is killing me.
Ephemeral Rift Your amazing XD keep up the tingles man
I'm so happy that MTG ASMR exists. I subscribed to you previously due to your different was of approaching this whole ASMR thing. Now I find this! You're the best, good sir.
Subscribed in the first 13 seconds. I LOVE MTG and the tapping noises were OUTSTANDING.
i love your videos about magic the gathering and how your voice sounds. you should do more of them with different fat packs and booster boxes
This is the video I stumbled upon, and the video that addicted me to this channel and the wonderful community that is... Asmr
Massive feel good vibes coming out of your channel, sir! You're a true ASMR guru.
I'm not sure how this channel can get any better, you're by far my fav asmr-er !
I don't know why but whispering and soft noises have always relaxed my brain and almost puts me to sleep
That's called "ASMR" :)
It's very interesting to go back to ASMR vids from 2013 or so, because this became a very new trend on UA-cam, and ASMRtists still needed to literally explain what it was.

today is my birthday, i just had a wonderful conversation about ASMR with my girlfriend, and at 12:01am, i was watching this, im very happy i still am too :)
You just mixed two of my favorite things
Asmr and a waste of money on worthless cardboard, my favourites too
I love card openings! I was into Pokémon cards some time ago, but I actually don't know how to play the game. It was interesting to hear how magic basically works, although I just made it through half of the video, because I fell asleep! :D
I was a little disappointed that you fast-forwarded the assembling of the deck boxes, because cardboard is a huge trigger for me.
But nevertheless it's a great video! :)
true, I still felt the thrill when I bought boosters online.
The whispering isn't annoying, it's the best part !
I had so much fun playing this when we had our group of friends in Ann Arbor,Michigan, about 15 years ago. Players tournaments downtown and would love to go to the sports card shops and look for new single cards. Ahhh, the good ole days.
Is there anything better than opening a booster box the asmr way?
Brings back some good memories, I miss MTG but the only card store in my area closed a couple years ago so there is no place where I can play with other people.
You are a really good ASMR broadcaster! Thank you for the video's really enjoy also watching MTG video's!
At the beginning when you rubbed both boxes together for about 15 seconds, WOW! I rarely get tingles but that gave me them, very rare moment achieved! haha, love this video though, perfect length and from start to finish its just so relaxing, you defiantly got this relaxing technique down to a science! I’m pretty sure this is the first video I saw of yours. Been following ever since. Love ya Rift
MTG, ASMR, and Cthulu all in one glorious channel? Hell yes.
Oh boy, Magic plus ASMR....... Holy crap. Thank you, thank you.
Dude i just wanna say i love you channel. Congrats on so many subs.
I've been sick all weekend and all I've been doing is watching your videos in bed. Love your videos! Keep up the good work!
wow the asmr almost makes me fall asleep
Okay, I've been lurking on your channel for months now. & I just realized I haven't subscribed yet. Well, sir, you got me. well done. Subscribed.
8 th night in a row I'm gonna fall asleep listening to your videos ;)
normally I use these to fall asleep but I really enjoyed watching this one. thanks!
I've tried MTG in the past but it's not the same feeling, there's nothing better than unpacking a booster pack and smelling the brand new cards haha
This is so relaxing and soothing I sirtenly click on the right video. Great job bro!! :D I love them
Haha, awesome, my favorite ASMR maker doing a video about one of my favorite hobbies. Super badass.
This made me dig my old cards up. So good.
tingles, or chills. it happens to lots of people with different triggers. a common trigger is hair cutting/touching. videos like these attempt to recreate those experiences through visual and audible triggers.
Look forward to the Munchkin videos. One of my favorite card games. Was contemplating a little vid on them as well but would love to see what you do.
I believe that there are novels for magic.... I know that I have seen a 3 chapter long story about a planeswaker before he learned how to cast spells and such and it looked like it was beginning to form a plot. It was actually really good.
Ohhh that's a good one. There is really not enough of card focused asmr. And with MTG that's even better.
this combined two of my three favorite things, asmr and mtg
I always watch this video before sleeping!Thank you for uploading.
This was great EXCEPT the sped up sections unwrapping the booster packs. I know you did if for time's sake; however, it really pulled me out of the experience, and I lament the lost tingles from watching and listening to you very slowly crack those packs. Otherwise, SO AWESOME.
Recently got my first intro pack of MtG and I'm hooked.
I would like to just say thankyou! Your videos are great. also you should do another beer review that was cool!
ER is the best asmrtist there is...and the fact that he plays MTG makes him a fucking BOSS
Take your time! I know you are busy and have a lot of ideas going on in your head! Until then, I will continue to enjoy all of the amazing ASMR videos you put out!
Awww yeah! Ephemeral Rift, ASMR and Magic Cards. That is amazing.

Meanwhile, I've recently gotten into Magic and I've really been enjoying it. Magic, Pokemon and Kaijudo (Duel Masters) are the only TCGs that are really worth playing.
Asmr and M:tG is a surprisingly good combination.
You did a great job, and might have gotten me interested in MTG again. I remember this from when I was a wee little tyke.
i thoroughly enjoyed this video. it gave me some ideas for my red/black aggro deck im currently using
ha ha this is awesome, i've only ever watched asmr videos that involved haircuts or beads etc etc and then youtube recommended this, i was like holy shit magic the gathering asmr videos!? thanks for the vid. i used to watch card videos all the time but none that were asmr
this is so calm, and good :) i almost starts to sleep
I wrote a Haiku about you
*clears throught*
I like your cool sounds
They make me really sleepy
you're really awesome
Never had the patience for card games, but I've always wanted to discipline myself to just sit down and learn how to play one. Maybe I'll start with this one.
Finally i bet the asmr thing its so relaxing
Magic seems to be a great way to teach younger children intuitive thinking and simple math and algebra. Glad to see that he likes the game, definitely a great thing for a boy his age.
Algebra, alge bra, al ge br a, a l g e b r a.
You are my favorite whisper. keep it up!
The best of the ASMR Community! (:
could u do more of these magic openings? theyre just really good i love listening to help me sleep
I love like this so much. Thanks for taking the time and doing these great video. New sub/viewer. I've always gotten that relaxed feeling, love it.
This is almost as great and redlining of an experience as doing it yourself.
One big difference.
No new magic card smell.
I got 2 thragtusks, a Jace and a Rhox in one of those, I was pretty happy.
I love the sounds of the cards. Please do more trading card videos!
ASMR is really there, thank you!
He has such great ideas! Could you please do more gaming videos ephemeral rift, your previous were very relaxing and interesting. Thanks for all your content.
Omg, lol, I was seriously thinking last week (when i discovered your videos) 'I should do an ASMR MTG unboxing video" XD
That was really good.
I really like magic too but it's too expensive in my country, Brazil.
ahh, you are going to make me want to play Magic again! Such a great fun game. I end up spending too much though to get those cards I need. Thus the reason I chose to stop.
I never really thought of playing Magic.. this kinda makes me want to.. *goes and buys*
I'm very much tempted to start up a little gaming/ASMR channel and have my first video be an unboxing of this here set. I've never played Magic but I've always wanted to learn!
This is wonderful, as always. I would KILL for you to make a pokemon card unboxing...
Very nice video, nice to see ASMR aimed primarily for male audience.
I love unboxings. I love MTG. I love your channel. What's not to love about this video?
yeah, me to, tapping is the best way to trigger ASMR for me
I thought about doing some ASMR videos... I am actually quite familiar with MTG and have done some booster openings and unboxing videos in the past, though they were not ASMR videos... By the way... the white picutre is Ajani and the black is Liliana... and yes, they are both Planeswalkers.
Is it weird that the slow turning of a glossy page triggers some extreme ASMR for me?
All those cathedrals of war are a sign you should do an exalted deck. They mainly are black/white ones. Put in the catherals, your exalted creatures and some good attackers like tormented soul and ajani sunstriker (because lifelink is a good combination with exalted) and you should have a solid deck to begin with.
I played back in Fifth Dawn which was about a decade ago. I do miss it
Just spent tonight playing magic!
I've always been a bigger fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Cardfight!! Vanguard.
But card games in general are great, and I loved this video. Thanks man!
I love your vids man, keep up the good work
This makes me want to try the game :)
why would you fast forward through the putting together of the boxes
