One of the saddest of all bosses. Love it, it's sexy, it's amazing animations, it's waifu. When I learned that she is suffering during this fight and her armor is permanently attached to her body against her will it was very sad. Killing her is making a favor for her.
Probably because of the Pontiff rings that most likely turned her into that beast. In fact if you ever decide to head back to Irithylll, keep an eye out for a feminine ghost walking by the side of a more masculine ghost. That's her spirit walking through Irithyll next to Vordt, the first boss you defeated. When the Pontiff rings turned them both into mindless terrible monsters, their human spirits returned to Irithyll, for as Aldritch's doll tells us; 'Wherever you go, Irithyll is your home.' Now THAT is sad. Hers and Vordt's spirits forever wandering the Boreal Valley, their bodies no doubt killing heroes and innocents foolish or unfortunate enough to find themselves in Lothric Castle.
OFFENSIVE AROUSAL pontiff and aldrich are just genuinely assholes, nobody feels sorry for killing them. and its a just a game you dunce, against "mercy killing"? then dont progress past vordt. smh
I think these are the subtle, genius lore-fragments the Souls Series offers. As far as it goes i really think Sullyvan is the most disgusting and deserves-to-die character in all the video games i know, at least to me. I guess a part of it is that there are so much abominable things we get to know about him, and at least as much horrible stuff which is hinted and left to our imagination. But there are plenty more well-made parts of story throughout Dark Souls 1-3, of course.

After.. what, 1 try on pontiff, i realized that if you dodge TOWARDS him and not away from him, the second slash from his combo always misses and you only have to dodge half of the combo. That actually helped me a lot.

The Dancer is my favorite boss fight in Dark Souls 3 (Until the Gael fight at least). It has awesome music, a cool boss arena (shit lights on fire as the fight goes on!) and a cool looking boss with an interesting design and very unique attacks

It's actually not that hard. I wouldn't consider myself to be a good player. Just kill Vordt, start Yoel's Quest und stack 5 Dark Sigils. Yuria will appear --> Buy the Dark Hand from her. (Dancer takes bonus Dark Damage) Took me like 10-15 Trys on ~SL 20'ish
I still remember on my first playthrough, I had no idea about this lady and killed Emma for the hell of it. I was so scared when that thing dropped down and starting strafing the room slowly, those eerie footsteps echoing through it. It took me more than 60 attempts at this boss haha. By the time I finally beat her, I knew the attacks so well that I could go most of the fight without getting hit lol

On one NG+ Sorc playthrough I beat her before Vordt with only the Dark Edge sorcery. It was pretty damn fun!
I kill Vordt and instantly Go After Champion Gundyr because he is my Favorite Boss.
The thing i hate most about this fight is that the arena is so extremely enclosed compared to other fights so 80% of her attacks are unavoidable
