Bruh, the baby was always there. Baby dragons are invisible. You can hear it cry and you see its souls leaving as Oceiros smashes it against the ground. Ocelotte is there and isn’t any cut content.

It is stated in the lore or hinted, that crossbreed dragons can turn invisible as a defense mechanism. The baby does die, you get to hear it cry and see purple essence come out of the supposed dead body, its soul.

Rayo Auditavia the delayed hits and a lot of health, also he is somewhat fast and does good damage. He does have his fair share of weaknesses which just takes people a while to notice.
The LARGEST MISTAKE I first yes I thought he was impossible but now he like eating a gummy bear
such a creepy and sad boss, while I know originally Oceiros was originally suppose to be holding his son in his arms, them removing the baby and instead having him hallucinating/deluding himself into thinking he still has his baby just adds a disturbing if tragic air to the boss.
I believe ocelot is invisible in his arms before being crushed in the second phase.

Pretty sure in some of the lore stuff it reads baby dragons are invisible. Kind of like a natural defence thing.
I am fairly sure that is not the case. They removed ocelotte. The developers decided that smashing babies on the stones was not a good idea, especially with baby smashing audio!
Is that lore thing 100% confirmed, or is it just a theory? 'Cause I like to think they made the whole thing open to play interpretation. Is Oceiros so crazy he thinks he has a baby in his arms, or is he even crazier to smash the baby on the ground?
I can't remember if it was Vatti or someother big DS youtuber but they found the real audio files and it was much more disturbing than what we heard, that mixed with a "real baby" would of been a no to publishers
This boss is more fucked up than people realize. He was suppose to be carrying a baby during the fight then kills it when you get its health down.
You can hear the baby's scream and him crushing it to death.
But it was too intense so FROM took it out.

Honestly quite posibly my 3rd fav boss of entire game... Atleast lore wise, there isnt much, but my fav mini lore boss battle ever. Amd the theme for oceiros is SOOO beautiful and tragic...
Actually all they did was make the baby invisible, you can still see and hear it bring killed once osieros enters phase 2. When he does this and slams his hand down furiously there's huge explosions of blood followed by screaming and the baby crying more than before. Literally all they did is make the child invisible like other half dragons in the series.

Jester the ominous vocals coupled with Ocellotte's crying really caught me off guard and gave me a feeling of unease the first time, still does. A little extra bit of difficulty, albiet psychological.

Are some of the most challenging in the series.
Archmage Khadgar there's this magical thing called an opinion, I've never died against the joke that is oceiros and I've died twice against nameless, however I was bodied by champion time and time again.
To you all that care for the lore, the community (using the canon lore and speculation based on canon lore) has basically broken down the lore of *[Oceiros the Consumed King]*, this is just the basic for your understanding:
1- *Oceiros* is the king of *Lothric*
2- *King Oceiros* sons are *Prince Lorian*, *Prince Lothric*
3- *King Oceiros* wife was/is (probably) *Gwynevere*
4- *King Oceiros* became obsessed with *Seath the Scaless* research on *Crystal Magic* and wanted to become a dragon, knowing it wouldn't be possible for him to do it, he decided to create another heir, so he/she could be a perfect dragon
5- After many attempts *King Oceiros* had an heir (*Ocelotte*), but the child was weak and frail, keeping itself invisible for most of the time (the power of crystals allows dragons and half dragons to create invisible objects or to become invisible)
6- *King Oceiros* became crazy
7- *Queen Gwynevere* left *King Oceiros* and the kingdom of *Lothric*
8- *King Oceiros* trows everything away, including his duty as a king to take care of his heir, he and *Ocelotte* were now living closely to his research with dragons
9- Nothing goes right as *Ocelotte* is not showing to have any signs of endless draconic power and that angers the mad king, now consumed by his hunger for power, now he is known as *Oceiros the Consumed King*

Bonus game design info about this fight: Originally the baby Ocelote was intended to be visible in this fight. At the start of phase 2 if you turn down all sound to 0 and ambient sound to max you can here a *sploosh* kind of sound. Oceiros drops Ocelote who is a very malformed looking half dragon that resembled a stillborn fetus. He loses his shit because he's blind and dropped his heir and can't find him. Before the game hit launch they were told it was too much and had to censor Ocelote. They just made him invisible but kept Oceiros' hand in phase one in a holding position to let us know Ocelote was there and alive along with the baby crying sound effects.
Gwynevere is complete speculation. Anyone could have been the Queen. Just like Pricilla being her daughter is complete speculation. And unless there's evidence found later (Seriously doubt it) I will continue to refuse both claims. Because both Seath and Oceiros are both creeps.

I beat champion Gundyr on my first attempt, Oceiros on the other hand took me hours to get down, maybe it was because i was using the hollowslayer Greatsword on this run but whatever.

There are some possibilities for the crying. I've heard that Oceiros may have straight up merged with the child. He might even so consumed with madness that HE'S making the baby sounds. I think FromSoftware kept it deliberately ambiguous.

Gundyr is way too easy to parry imo. They should have at least changed the timings of his charged attacks for the second fight.

Thank you very much for slowing down the lore text on the intro, it now feels like part of the video proper and not kinda rushed like it did before.

One thing I really like about this series is the variety of fights and fight styles. For example, we have humanoid enemies that are either the size of a human, like Sister Friede, or humanoids that are big and strong, like a god. But they don't always fight like, well, humans. O & S have a really unique vibe with their lightning fast moves or slow smashes, then Champion Gundyr charges and strikes with enough force to cleave the ground and wound your character further. Then we have Lorian, who teleports in order to make up for his crippled legs, and Gael and Artorias, who fight like beasts. Even the dragon fights are varied. Kalameet and Midir make use of fire break and darkness to smite you, while Oceiros is more of an imperfect dragon. You can't forget about the King of Storms either, who flies around and creates walls of wind to blow you over.
What about some of the awesome bosses Dark Souls 2 has to offer?

Ikr? Ocellotte was supposed to be visible too, but instead they made him invisible and gave Oceiros dialog saying that he lost his child + Baby still crying at the end. They didn't seem to have time to cut the animation though.

That charge attack Oceiros does is mind-blowingly ridiculous. There's no wind-up or anything, he just suddenly accelerates from 0-60 in about 0.1 seconds. Very unnatural. I might let him off if I could see his legs tense up before he immediately bursts forward but there's no warning when it happens, so the only way to dodge it is to be at a distance which gives you enough time to react when you see him moving towards you.

Personally I don't find him hard at all, but I also feel the nameless king is quite easy to(the camera in 1st stage is bs tho)But I suck at fighting dancer and dragon slayer armour, who most people probably think are easy. I also feel that Sister freide, gael, and midir arent that bad. It all depends on rng and the way a person plays
Yeah his charge was annoying. But I found that you can bait his spin attacks and keep away from his charge by staying near his rear.

Yeah, staying behind his legs seems to be best. You can deal with the spins a lot better than his charges.
1. Stay away from him
2. When he's charging, roll sideways
3. paddle him a couple time from side/back
4. Repeat.

Above Iudex Gundyr, Vordt, Crystal Sage, Deacons of the Deep, arguably Abyss Watchers, Wolnir, Yhorm, arguably Aldrich, Dragonslayer Armour, Ancient Wyvern. That's just the base game.
The dialogue, the lore and the realization of the real horrors here is what makes this boss so amazing.

Oceiros is one of my favorite bosses in DS3, not just because of his fighting style or his abilities but also the story behind him. It's really something to take notice.
To everyone thinking Ocelotte is an hallucination and that his death was cut:
Pay attention. When Oceiros smashes his hands on the ground there's an energy surge at the center similiar to when an enemy dies and vanishes. Not to mention the obvious crying throughout the fight and the fact crossbreeds tend to go invisible.
at the same time, the baby noises continue after ocelotte is supposedly killed so it's presented to be very confusing

At first, I found Oceiros to be easy. But on NG+3, when I just wanted to kill him fast and go to Champion Gundyr, Oceiros suddenly kicked my ass like hell. I was playing mage, and he was rushing me from the other side of the map faster, than I could even charge a spell. For some reason, he was the hardest boss for me on NG+3. Watch Lobosjr Ds3 SL1 run, Oceiros just rekt him there.

Though not the hardest nor most interesting boss, this has got to be my favourite boss.
Not only is he absolutely terrifyingly badass but you actually FEEL for him. The music and the baby crying makes this more than just a boss fight.

Hands down my favorite Dark Souls boss. Such a badass and compelling character. I got chills when he dropped on all fours the first time I beat him!

@@ddd-sx7pw Yeah I'm not going to go by what From cut out of this fight. That imaginary baby Oceiros is holding is a figment of his insanity, clearly something traumatic happened that made him not accept that his son is gone. And something in the atmosphere is making you hear a baby's cry.
What about the cries? This is third time From Software has a baby crying when there is no baby in sight. In fact the only time of these three that comes close to that is the chalice queen boss from Bloodborne, and that's only because the real her is pregnant. And her baby's cry can be heard and is one of her attacks.
RangaRiis it actually works both ways which is a good thing because if it didn’t I would be more upset with FROM’s decision to cut the original fight.
@@vigilantslacker6039 It doesn't really. Those audio clips go on for way too long, the whole thing is ill-fitting to the game, it's too much, and it's not needed. A lot of people who would have wanted it the other way are either suckers for this, are more intrigued about the *potential* itself instead of the content, or you got those ninnies who think ANY cut content is some sort crime regardless of what was cut and why. I mean they will conflate this with whatever bullshit Destiny or EA has cut only to make it DLC later.

I think him screaming Ocelotte is him getting more and more frustrated that his child isnt as powerful as he hoped

Oceiros is the most easy boss in Dark Souls 3, is just Vordt on steroids, same mechanic, evenly more easy, he miss every sibgle hit if you are under him...
It's easy for some people and hard for others. Some people think that The Nameless King and Champion Gundyr are easy.
Angel give me proof on who thinks the nameless king is easy, also champion Gundyr is easy, same one with a little bit of a different move set.
Why you need proof? A lot of people say that, it's called an "opinion". Facebook, YT, anyone and anywhere.

The feral screeching sounds he made have been used before. I've heard that in a few games. The first one I remember immediately is the monster Aluru in Legend of Legaia.
Nothing pains me more than seeing someone use the Sellsword Twinblades with a shield. Fuckn Casul.
I just got those things to +10 with the Sharp infusion, damn they're intense. Been using the same weapon throughout the whole game because nothing even compares.

pancakerzzz ive used 2 different weapons dragon slayer great axe and old demon kings hammer i use dragon slayers axe more but to some bosses res to lightning i use it for that! the dragonslayer armor became lot harder allmost died once! Allmost... and im on ng+1 im gonna get both dlcs next week im not gonna go to jorney 3 because im not gonna fucking kill midir or gael in ng+2 and ng+3!
So, Ocelotte was in Oceiros' hand during battle, and Oceiros slams his hand into the ground (the one with Ocelotte) and becomes more animal-like for phase 2.
So, we know why Ocelotte is invisible.
Its so annoying that they had to make the story so confusing because of censorship: you can't kill children and babies in video games so of course they could not show Oceiros smashing his son in the ground. Obviously these guys can't get what the hell those cries are

Yeah but the kid is still alive in phase 2, whereas Oceiros must have smashed him in the ground with his hand because he became less human and more beastly.
Invisibility easily explains the first phase only, but NO WAY that kid is alive in phase 2.
Again, the child is only invisible, if you pay attention the child is still smashed into the ground. And as for the phase two thing, half dragons I'm the ds series are very resilient, his more resilient body helped him survive, but as a baby he still cried, its the natural thing to do as an infant who got hurt

Good, you just ended the royal lineage by killing the actual King of Lothric. And, for those who want to talk much, I don't count PRINCE Lorian and PRINCE Lothric as kings.
i see now, they remove the baby object from its hand. Where it's supposed to be crying and later get smashed in 2nd phase. Yet the baby flesh still attached to its hand and crying even louder in agony.
One of the easiest bosses in the game, to me.
He was my hardest.
Just stay under the bastard as much as possible.
That's the beauty of souls games. Different bosses are harder for different people.

this boss has the widest area of difficulty. Some people could beat oceiros with their eyes closed, others can't beat him for their lives.
I'll never look at oceiros the same way again after hearing the cut audio files.

Just goes to show how everyone struggles with different bosses based on their play style and build. I've never had any trouble with Oceiros, but I think that's mostly because I play with a free camera whenever possible. I really only lock on to the bosses that feel like they were designed specifically to be dodged while locked on (e.g. nameless king phase 2, lorian/lothric, abyss watchers, etc). That helps a lot with beast bosses like Vordt, Oceiros, Greatwood, and Dancer because they all benefit a lot from the extra mobility given how important that positioning is to their fights and avoiding damage.

I met this boss today, didn't even know it existed. He was the first boss I've defeated on my first try in this game
“Ocelotte is going to join the fight as well.”
I mean, he’s not wrong.
I've never not beaten Oceiros the first time on any playthrough, (which is fine cuz ten minutes later I die plenty to Champdyr) but I've also never run through as a magic user. I've heard he is just absolutely made of nightmares for spellcasters because his resistances to magic damage are insane.

Oceiros is actually fuckin creepy as shit in the uncut version. He's holding a baby thing and fuckin slams it into the ground during second phase! Then walks to you crushing it over and over while it screams.

I was frightened when I heard the baby's crying while fighting him.
The reason why the baby is invisible is because it is half dragon and they have the ability to turn invisible and when he crushes it it's still "alive" and that's why you can still hear it

Though arguably one of the/the easiest boss/bosses in the game, he's definitely my favorite for the lore and overall story of it. Just knowing that he originally was supposed to have a baby as the overprotective father that he kills himself makes which turn insane is all the more emotional and creepily amazing. Definitely my favorite boss in all of DS 3 next to Sister Friede.

Fun fact btw, if you get hit with an attack from Oceiros's left hand, sometimes your FP will get drained, which is why many of them have absolutely zero FP instead of only have a tiny bit left.
The trick that I've found with Oceirus is to stay just a little back from him but not too far. This causes him to do his flurry attacks which can be avoided by rolling under his belly. Occasionally he also does his charge attack at this distance so I pays to be able to tell them apart
I just realized that his second phase is very similar to the battle against a Tigrex in Monster Hunter... this could explain why I found this fight relatively easy

Aldrich and the Dancer gave me the most trouble my first time playing the game but I’m not gonna lie that they become much easier when you learn their moves
I love that last line, because during my first play of the game, I beat Aldrich in two tries (damn arrows) and Oceiros in three. I was playing dodge with him for several minutes before finishing him off.

So Oceiros had a connection to Seath the Scaleless. That would explain his dragon-like appearance.
When I encountered this guy for the first time I was both amazed and surprised. I managed to beat him on my first try on my first ever playthrough though I think I have bloodborne and elden ring to thank for preparing me xD
