You can so easily parry them with a *long range gun*, then visral attack them again & again. Just don't try it with a blunderbuss/other shotgun style gun. Ran out of shamen daggers, so had to fight them that way, and I did it in two goes (very close to 1).
That is why I said pistol/long range guns. You can get a parry off 2-3X their attack range with the pistol. And unlike most enemies, they keep attacking even if you are out of range. It's very easy to set up a parry every 2-4 shots. It would be a b**** if you were using Ludwig's rifle, or the blunderbuss though.
If you look into Maria's lore, she actually refused to use her Vile blood power. She relied purely on skill and focused on training to gain strength. Her fight with the player is the first and only time she uses her blood for power. Her desire to stop you from making the same mistake she did pushes her to use everything she has. I'll never forget the time I was backing away from her thinking, "Oh she can't hit me from he-" and then she clotheslined me from 20 ft away and butchered my health. She then proceeded to beat my ass for 30 minutes.
That happens all the time because of, you guessed it, the fire trailing after every attack. I would say she's an amazing boss, UNTIL phase three, because of that simple fact. At which point, she becomes unfair garbage, punishing you even when you dodge her attacks properly.

There was A youtuber I watched, invade a player who cosplayed as Lady Maria in elden ring, and in few attempts 2 or 1, he died. She had another phantom with her. So it seems the lady maria survived radagon.
Honestly this is one of my favorite bosses of all time. It may just be me but I feel like I *have to* whip out my blades of mercy in twin dagger mode and have a good old fashion melee with her. Makes the boss feel so much fun.
I picked up Bloodborne just a couple weeks ago, and only fought and beat Maria for the first time yesterday. There are no words for how much I enjoyed this fight. The music, her moves, the tempo and escalation. It's freakin' awesome. I'm not very good with parrying, so I got in close and literally danced with her. One of the coolest boss fights in all of the very many games I've played.
It kinda surprises me how people get this far in the game and still dodge backwards in these fights. Father Gascoigne beat the dark souls mindset out of me very early on and i was thankful for it, going in hard is what makes this game exhilarating.
It's really cathartic to see a streamer play these games exactly like I do. By which I mean every third word is a swear and the boss is referred to as "That Fucker" until beaten.
On one of my attempts while fighting Maria... I got her down to about [] that much health, there was nothing left on the bar, I would have killed her then if it was not for the same glitch that happened to Juutas at 9:22 where the fire stuns you, I parried her and the glitch happened, if it was not for the glitch, I would have killed her with the parry, but for some reason I could not get it of... I was so disappointed.
Hunter boss fights are great in Bloodborne because they make use of the health regain system, this bossfight doesn't just flatten you like Ludwig, you're both in equal stands. Miyazaki is a fucking genius.
I find it odd that so many people think getting away from bosses is the safer option, by this point in the game you quickly learn that almost all enemies have a deadly lunge or ranged attack that is much harder to predict. I always try to dodge to the side of bosses in games now.
Just beat her, shes honestly one of my favourite bosses in souls games. The fact that she fights you on equal field, same premise as gehrman but with quicker strikes, more movement and better range. The pinnacle of all hunter fights you've had in the game until now. Being able to find openings to parry is exhilarating with how quick the fight plays out.
I'm finally fighting her myself and it's a hell of a good time. I've maxed out on quicksilver bullets repeatedly in the game because I rarely use the guns, but I've actually had successful parries against her. I did have to upgrade my threaded cane some and switch to it. I love my saw cleaver, but I wanted something just a bit faster. I nearly had her in my most recent attempt, which was also the first time I was using the cane. I'm having to relearn how to be so aggressive though. I've spent the past few months clearing most of Dark Souls 3, so I have to unlearn a lot of caution that game has taught me.
The boss that easily punishes people that either roll spam away from Maria or just run away from the boss and not be aggressive enough to roll near close to her.
Sucks that you can't do the flaming blood thing with the Rakuyo, but then I guess it's OP enough as is. It does state in the weapon's description that it's not actually a blood blade (like the Chikage), which suggests that the only reason Maria could do the crazy blood magic thing is because she's actually a vileblood (distant relative of the Queen). So in the Chikage's case, it's the sword itself that's imbued with the power of the vilebloods, and in the Rakuyo's case, Maria taps into her inherent vileblood powers once she realizes you're a much bigger threat than she expected, and stops holding back (since the weapon description also says she normally frowns on the use of blood blades).
Ok so I understand that newer players don't know this against the first few bosses. But by the time you get to Lady Maria, you should be expecting AoE explosions when they change phases.
Shikazu Okari Best boss? No way, I mean don't get me wrong, it looks cool and the music is awesome but it's just another "dodge and punish" boss, no interesting mechanics, no thinking outside the box, nothing.
1:43 that moment when lady Maria transform her Rakuyo, i thought hunter weapons couldn't be cooler anymore... Me : oh god, please make this weapon available From. aaaandd they did :D
I'm finally fighting her. I took a break from Bloodborne after hitting a wall in the Research Hall and just feeling a bit burned out. Tackled most of DS3 instead, lol. I so nearly had her in my most recent attempt. 2-4 more hits would have done it, I think. I so rarely use my gun that I'm usually maxed out on quicksilver bullets. However, with Lady Maria I'm actually using it and getting in successful parries, provided she's close enough when the shot hits. I also actually changed weapons. I've been using the saw cleaver or the tonitrus the whole game, excluding the hunter's axe for the Bloody Crow. I switched to the threaded cane for Lady Maria. It's at +8 and weaker than the cleaver even with gems, but it has the speed I need for this fight.

One of the coolest boss fights in all of the very many games I've played.
...Why is nobody even trying to parry her.
Right? Even a new but careful player can beat her using viscerals without taking a hit.
"Holy crap, why is her blood on fire?!" was something I did not expect to say in my lifetime.
My Second Favorite Boss of Bloodborne... of course Ludwig is My Number One Boss 😉
My top is Ludwig, Gehrman and Maria
Gehrman is a pretty good boss too, with a great lore and amazing theme
Mine goes
1. Orphan of Kos
2. Lady Maria
3. Father Gascoine
Mine is
1. Lady Maria
2. Moon Presence
3. Ludwig
Mine is
1. Blue Goobers
It kinda surprises me how people get this far in the game and still dodge backwards in these fights. Father Gascoigne beat the dark souls mindset out of me very early on and i was thankful for it, going in hard is what makes this game exhilarating.
Juudas fights her with a scythe. Ironically, scythe-wielding Friede's 3rd stage has some moves similar to Maria's.
It's really cathartic to see a streamer play these games exactly like I do. By which I mean every third word is a swear and the boss is referred to as "That Fucker" until beaten.
8:20 they parried each other lmao
“I’m regressing!” Is something I’ve absolutely said to myself on many a SoulsBorne boss fight
It was just me who saw that Lady Maria theme and Lorian, Elder Prince and Lothric, Younger Prince themes are....similar?
11:03 what the hell is that menacing lough
Dope videos you got your self a loyal subscriber
And there you have your first look at Sepuku, BloodFlame and Rivers of Blood
and blood hound step
On one of my attempts while fighting Maria... I got her down to about [] that much health, there was nothing left on the bar, I would have killed her then if it was not for the same glitch that happened to Juutas at 9:22 where the fire stuns you, I parried her and the glitch happened, if it was not for the glitch, I would have killed her with the parry, but for some reason I could not get it of... I was so disappointed.
“So she can’t shoot me now” *hit by blood laser*
That’s what it sounds like for someone to eat their words in real time
the first mistake some of these people made were turning their back on her
Hunter boss fights are great in Bloodborne because they make use of the health regain system, this bossfight doesn't just flatten you like Ludwig, you're both in equal stands.
Miyazaki is a fucking genius.
Oh yeah baby finally
I find it odd that so many people think getting away from bosses is the safer option, by this point in the game you quickly learn that almost all enemies have a deadly lunge or ranged attack that is much harder to predict. I always try to dodge to the side of bosses in games now.
She was an INSANE boss! When I finally killed her it was SO satisfying! I can relate to these people!
4:58 "ok she can't shoot me now"
Lady Maria: *AMMA FIRING MA LAZER*
How do i go close to her..........and he's stabbed
My health drop the 1...
We both drew our swords...
I hold my breath... then i died...
But then i saw it...
Prey slaughtered!
The same thing happened to me in the first time I killed Artorias!
The boss that easily punishes people that either roll spam away from Maria or just run away from the boss and not be aggressive enough to roll near close to her.
"God, she's incredible! I'm in love!"
I can see why everyone thinks Friede is just her using Scythes.
Maria is just alpha version of Sister Friede
And I can’t beat the Cleric Beast...
2:43
6ix : How do i get close to her?
Lady Maria : Like this.
Absolutely fantastic :D Pls Laurence next!
Mental fox: *reads player notes*
Mental fox: Are there any more notes in here I can read?
Boss room: *covered in a field of blood*
I felt bad about killing her. She was sort of Waifu material
... for some
I like tough girls
with meek voices
Sucks that you can't do the flaming blood thing with the Rakuyo, but then I guess it's OP enough as is. It does state in the weapon's description that it's not actually a blood blade (like the Chikage), which suggests that the only reason Maria could do the crazy blood magic thing is because she's actually a vileblood (distant relative of the Queen). So in the Chikage's case, it's the sword itself that's imbued with the power of the vilebloods, and in the Rakuyo's case, Maria taps into her inherent vileblood powers once she realizes you're a much bigger threat than she expected, and stops holding back (since the weapon description also says she normally frowns on the use of blood blades).
t-they dont side dodge........why?
They don't parry either

The6ixgamer: Ok so she can't shoot me
Maria: hold my beer
Lady Maria is love , Lady Maria is life .
Lady Maria stole my heart, but then also fucked my wife.
Lady Maria is waifu
Ok so I understand that newer players don't know this against the first few bosses. But by the time you get to Lady Maria, you should be expecting AoE explosions when they change phases.
Best Boss in all 5 souls games.
Then comes Friede in a close 2nd spot.
Beethoven definitely in the conversation, with artorias, gael, Ludwig, Gwyn
Return the Slab Friede? Lol
Beethoven all those mentioned hahaha including maria
friede is a copy of maria but still a good fight
Shikazu Okari Best boss? No way, I mean don't get me wrong, it looks cool and the music is awesome but it's just another "dodge and punish" boss, no interesting mechanics, no thinking outside the box, nothing.
Lady Maria is one of the greatest boss fight to ever grace video game history.
1:43 that moment when lady Maria transform her Rakuyo, i thought hunter weapons couldn't be cooler anymore...
Me : oh god, please make this weapon available From.
aaaandd they did :D
The rakuyo can be pretty powerful if u know how to use it
@@thefeogordo5444 exactly, the moveset is soo fluid and cool af... even better and fancier than Blade of Mercy
@@ardiessadida5146 yeah but i like her hated her second phase because that was chikage bs
Everyone gangsta untill Lady Maria and Sister Friede enter their 3rd stage
No one noticed that she's the doll? Really?
aqsw57 We did. The community has known this for years
aqsw57 it's the other way around, the doll is made to resemble her.
aqsw57 she not the doll tho
The doll was made to look exactly like Maria because Gherman is kind of a creep.
CidGuerreiro1234 I thought they were connected as the doll has things like when you kill her the doll says she feels free
