Hey everyone, I’m going to start by saying don’t worry, I’ll still be making Terraria content. But I’ve been really getting into the Souls games, so I'm trying it out on the channel today. While I’m no expert at the games, maybe ChatGPT can cover for me by creating a solid build to breeze through the game with :P
Fun fact: if you want early souls, the coins are actually better than the soul bank item, as you can sell them for a larger soul amount than the soul gives you, so the AI was 100% bang on with that
Scariest thing about GPT3 is that it is strikingly human-like in the way that when it doesn't really know what to say it just makes shit up and runs with it. Edit: also you can mash when the stray demon grabs you to make him drop you before he yeets you btw, only grab in the game that works like that for whatever reason.
Not the only one, all or almost all of them work like that, though it’s rarely that visible, and more importantly you often die before you have the chance to free yourself
if you took on every single npc in undead settlement at once, itd probably be harder than dancer. so yea id rather just get dancer out of the way before taking on the extremely hard challenge that is the legendary undead settlement
I bought this game this christmas and I felt in love with it. And to see you doing these now I like your content even more. My two favorite gaming franchises in one channel is just perfection.
OBVIOUSLY, the AI recommending Great Lightning Spear at 3:30 means beating Vordt, picking up VVarrior of Sunlight in Undead Settlement, triggering Dancer early, killing her, grinding 30 Sunlight Medals from the Lothric Knights in the castle itself, and giving those to the Sunlight Altar for Great Lightning Spear, beating the entire game, starting Nevv Game Plus, and killing Vordt vvith Great Lightning Spear
Dancer of the Boreal Valley is of very similar difficulty to Undead Settlement. If you took all the enemies of Undead Settlement and crammed them into a single room, I'm sure they would be of very similar difficulty to clear out as the single Dancer.
I beg to differ. The thing about Undead Settlement is that the enemies aren't all placed in a single room, they're spaced out across the entire area. Not to mention, if you don't have a crowd control tool like an AoE spell or a sweeping attack, the sheer amount of bodies hitting you would SHRED your health before you could even do much. Fighting one enemy, no matter how strong or fast it is, is manageable because you have one target you can focus on to evade and wittle down. And the inverse is true as well, no matter how weak or slow an enemy is, putting a bunch in a room together will cause the player to get hit a lot more than just one.
@@aesiro13 It all depends on player placement in the case of shoving the whole of the Settlement into one room. It's like the hollows in front of the gargoyles in Undead Parish or the Prowling Magus and Congregation fight on steroids. Just have to give them a bigger arena, clump them up and put a little space between them and the entry to give some time to figure out what's happening and it seems like it'd be about the same. The little fast guys come charging first, deal with them, ranged guys are a thing but tolerable while clearing out the rest of the group. Actually, there's probably a few people out there that could just make this happen. Put Dancer and the whole of the Settlement in, like, Nameless King's arena, let them fight it out a few times, see who's really got an edge.
Would absolutely love to see more Soulsborne and other types of content on the channel. I tuned in not too long ago for my first stream, and I always enjoy seeing other content from UA-camrs as they branch out. As long as you enjoy, that's what matters. Here's some small details, tips and old history info if you're at all curious, based on what I see in the video It's been a hot minute since I've played Dark Souls 3, but... some of the stuff mentioned by the bot is actually pretty right on the money. Luck working for crit is wrong, but once upon a time, Luck builds were really OP, specifically if using a certain Straight Sword. Mind, not as good now, and having to guide the bot to tell you to use it wouldn't be very easy (ring of wealth), but if you could, that would actually be pretty ideal. Another one being, if you use a Lloyd's Talisman (Undead Hunter Charms in DS3) on a Mimic you have aggro'd - bare fist hit it once at least - they will awaken before promptly going back to sleep, opening their mouth and allowing you to retrieve the item inside without fighting... but this ALSO has a chance to give you the Symbol of Avarice at almost x2 the drop rate, and can be done Repeatedly till it drops, if you have enough charms and coins. I know it isn't really something plausible at that point in the game, but for later on with the other mimics, you can easily perform this action. The Dancer's Blades at the start of the game were very good - my favourite weapons in fact - before they were nerf'd heavily into the ground. They nerf'd Split-Damage weaponry, so anything with 2+ types of damage types would apply to multiple defences and the overall damage would fall immensely. Really the only decent weapons left in the meta are Strength weapons last I had seen. Oh, and this goes double, if not triple for the Dancer's Blades, as they do Split Damage x3, between Physical, Magic and Fire, so you will almost always NEVER do more than 300 dmg per swing, and lemme tell ya, against Midir, that SUCKS. Stray Demons, hurray! The best known boss of Dark Souls, as the Tutorial boss (Asylum Demon), the easiest Titanite Slab (Stray Demon), and big fire boi (Demon Fire Sage). Now, I bet you already know this, but for those who don't if you do enough damage and poise damage (ie, stagger) to one or both of the Legs, as this thing is ancient and breaking apart physically, you can actually completely cripple it by destroying its legs, making the fight that much easier! Interestingly, you CAN run out of room in Wolnir's Boss Room. There is a giant rock wall that you can end up backing into. This means that if you don't do enough damage, you can actually reach a point where you hit a sort of, "Soft Enrage" where you will just always be under him/in the breath attack. It's uh... not fun. I do not recommend a "Jump Attack Only" playthrough for that. Also not-so-fun-fact: Wolnir was the hardest boss for me my first playthrough, cuz his attacks would almost 1-shot me, or shove me beneath him into the mist. My first ever kill on him, it's not out of place to say I won with my back up against a Literal Wall. Pontiff Doge! Last thing you fight in the video, and yes, you are correct - you must beat the Deacons of the Deep to get the Irithyll Doll, which lets you pass the barrier. But, on the matter of the Doge, 3 facts for you. Firstly, if you don't kill it on the bridge, it'll actually jump down and fight you in the waters below, before you enter the Sewer and meet "wannabe Onion Bro" - Siegmeyer of Catarina is Best Onion Bro, don't @me. But as well, if you get a Riposte/Critical/Visceral/Big Boi Attack on it, which leaves it below 25% HP, you will see it panic on its back for a bit, before giving up, and almost becoming Human once more... and in that moment, it lays there on it's back, puts its hands together, and prays... Still not known if it's praying for Mercy/Pity, praying to the Pontiff himself, or for another unknown reason. Can easily find videos of it, just look up something like "Pontiff Dog Praying" and you can easily see some videos of it. And probably my favourite little detail, if you have the Doge charge at you as you walk through the Invisible Barrier, it will rebound off, and you can giggle to yourself, as if I remember correctly, it makes a sound and ripples as it repels them! Thanks again for the video, Gungnir, if you actually read this. If you or anyone else want any random tips or bits of old lore/info, this stuff still takes up like 90% of my memory... God, end my suffering lol
Really curious as to where this AI gets its information, because I don't think I've ever met a single person that played DS3 who would tell you that Dancer and the Undead Settlement are of comparable difficulty.
Wow, watching this video has made me realize just how much I've been missing in Dark Souls 3! ChatGPT's tips and advice are super helpful, and I can't wait to try them out for myself. It's great to see someone else struggling through the game just like I do, but also managing to improve and progress with the right guidance. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge, and keep up the great work!
I really like the way that this video was put together, it's different from the normal Terraria content but I'm glad to see you branching out, and I would love to see more :D
Awesome to see you make Dark Souls content! As a side note the Dancers swords are actually surprisingly viable, granted you are specing into more than one damage stat that is, After I got it I used it all the way up to and through Frita, whom I then stole the scythes of.
It's already happening. It won't eliminate jobs entirely, but it will massively reduce the number of available positions and already has started doing so. The introduction of AI into the workplace will be much like the introduction of computers. Used for a few things in specific fields at first, and then eventually it'll be so normalized that it'll be everywhere and at that point the damage is done.
This was very entertaining I would love to see more of this concept with other games! I know elden ring is a lot longer but the AI seems to know a lot more about it could be really interesting
Actually , I do definitely agree that the Curse rotted greatwood is so unpredictable, you're bound to die atleast once or twice.... But bosses like dancers' moves are so well telegraphed that once you get ti know them, they are pretty easier to deal with
This was really fun! You got a nice attitude and great pacing. Was sad to see that this is only Part 1 and you didn't do the full game, i'll happily watch more of this! Gotta go check out that Terraria Content :)
When wolnir slams its hand into the ground, it means that he summons those skeletons that were attacking you earlier. Sometimes he can summon bonewheel from DS1 (or rather from Berserk) which makes this fight actually hard.
I loved this video much more than your other content. I love the premise of beating a really hard game with a bad AI telling you want to do. And I really like the thumbnail
Ayo I hadn’t watched your stuff in a while, and was pleasantly surprised to see a Dark Souls 3 video from you, Terraria and Dark Souls are both awesome!!
You hit me with the "I'm normally a Terraria channel" and I checked who I was watching (this video was from my recommended tab) and had one of those "Oh shit it's Gungnir" moments and then proceeded to realize I wasn't subscribed after recognizing your name from years ago. Glad to see you still making content! keep up the amazing work!
i mean its a chat model, not a general purpose AI. its predicting what word comes next, it doesnt even know what dark souls is. ai is still very much in its infancy
Bro this was so good, you need to do more of these games. I just got baited into DS series yesterday and I found your video on my recommendation. Even when you're not playing the most optimum way since you had to follow the AI, just hearing what you're talking about along the way really helps me with the loadouts and such. Thank you.
if he could get the ai to reccomend a blood infused bandit's knife somehow he could end up with a decent build, but none of the weapons he's used so far have bleed build up lol
@@user-uf7qf7mv6k higher bleed buildup means you can proc bleed faster and therefore more times on a boss, so it still increases your damage output. bleed is generally pretty meh in ds3 especially compared to elden ring, but the bandit's knife is very good for proccing bleed quickly, and because bleed is percentage based the bandits knife is very effective at a low level. if you want to beat the dancer early, the bandit's knife is a solid option
Really nice to see a youtuber going out of their normal content zone and still having game knowledge on what they're playing. I was shocked this was a video from you, epic content. You did dancer for extra runtime and everyone knows this.
It’s actually embarrassing what this AI is thinking about, cause it truly is an unlucky AI. Especially with confusing certain stats and items with others
I was watching this from recommended tbinking it was a random dark souls channel. And then I realised it was gungnir. Man I’ve been watching you for years, it’s nice to see you playing this series that I love dearly, and that you are almost as skilled as you are skilled on terraria
23:06 I didn't know you could open this gate. I've beaten this game so many times with different challenges and stuff, but never knew this was a shortcut. Unbelievable! I'm still discovering things. Truly amazing. Also, great idea for a challenge run! Let an AI decide your build and strats. I enjoyed the video!
If you use the rusted gold coin to get an item that you then sell its worth more than the soul. The Ai also seems to think summoning a Sunbro for your first fight is optimal.
Quick heads up for those who don’t know, the stray demon that can throw you, if you spam LT and RT, or the equivalent on other platforms, you can break out of the grab.
with the stray demon grab attack you can spam your heavy and light attack buttons to escape its grasp and it will just drop you. that strat works for most grab attacks as well
I wouldnt mind seeing you branch out a little bit! My need for terraria is very saturated so i havent really been watching any of your videos recently :( I think those " AI Says...." type of videos go with pretty much any game and are enjoyable/interesting enough, maybe you could make a series with that? Or maybe do your typical masochist-challenge style videos, but different games?
I just realized this is one of my favorite Terraria UA-camrs lmao. I didn't even see who it was until the end of the video lmao. Loved this video man, I'd love to see more Souls games
I usually like to start the branch, because if you keep it, the giant in the Undead Settlement won't shoot arrows at you and rather target enemies near you.
Bro this is awesome. I was in another terraria phase a few months ago and I binged a bunch of your videos, and now that I'm super into Souls games you come out with this?? Perfect timing :))))
3:22 to be fair you could get Great Lightning Spear before Vordt. Activate Vordt's fight, save and quit, deathcam unload at the High Wall to skip Vordt, grab Warrior of Sunlight from the Undead Settlement, backtrack and beat Dancer early, spend 6 hours farming 30 sunlight medals from the Lothric Knights in the Castle, and offer them all to the Sunlight Altar. Then you can beat Vordt with Great Lightning Spears, simple!
I really like this foray into dark souls content. It would be nice to have a little more variety, and nobody wants you to get bored of content creation.
Your voice is more the commentary style I enjoy for dark souls. I'd love to see more of it as long as you're enjoying the game! Cheers gugnir. Also nice flex killing dancer, even if he's of similar difficulty to the settlement lol
I would love to see the rest of this playthrough. I've been a fan of yours for a while and I'm excited to see you branch out. I wonder if this video format would work well for sekiro? I would love to see a playthrough of it from you.
This was a joy to watch! And I must say, I've put hundreds of hours into this game... Got every trophy, collected every single weapon and item obtainable... But I have not once noticed that shortcut at 23:13 ...
I'm really happy you called the stray demon on the bridge a boss, a lot don't because there isn't a health bar. But he WAS a boss so until otherwise stated I shall call him a boss.
I remember back then when luck bleed build were completely op in pvp, with hollow infused onikiri and ubadachi + carthus rouge you could almost proc the bleeding in a couple of hits It would wreck most bosses that weren't immune to bleed as well
“Curse Rotten Greatsword, a weapon obtained after killing prince lothric, has the weapon art ‘wrath of the gods’ which deals lightning damage and stuns weaker enemies” 💀💀💀
I did this but at the start gave it a description and rundown of all the stats so it could make optimal builds or more accurate builds to cosplay characters
So excited that your posting dark souls!!! I saw your all achievements stream, and it’s so funny that your doing dark souls now, since I just got into the souls series a month or two ago. You are my new favorite UA-camr😅
You’ll take less damage at the end of all grab animations if you button mash, and sometimes, you’ll physically slip out of certain enemies’ grabs earlier I think, but I don’t really remember either LOL.

That is very wonderful idea. Keep doing souls content. I loved it.
PLEASE never stop making ds3 vids, this one was so entertaining
You hit me with the "I'm normally a Terraria channel" and I checked who I was watching (this video was from my recommended tab) and had one of those "Oh shit it's Gungnir" moments and then proceeded to realize I wasn't subscribed after recognizing your name from years ago. Glad to see you still making content! keep up the amazing work!
Damn the ai actually was right about luck since if you get the sword that dmg scales with luck you easy clear the game
Something useful for Stray Demon, by mashing L1 R1 in turn you can wiggle free. You take dmg from being squashed, but he'll drop instead of throw you.
I love how most of this video is just "proof that AIs are still not advanced enough for this shit".
but one day, they will speedrun games instead of humans in the most efficient way possible.
@@oldcat1790 soooo
TAS?
i mean its a chat model, not a general purpose AI.
its predicting what word comes next, it doesnt even know what dark souls is.
ai is still very much in its infancy
@@agenttechnaid5438 tas is tool assisted, basically you can pause the game and input stuff frame by frame, its fully human though
@@shoeofobama6091 a lot of them have premade inputs using trial and error
so it is AI
YAAAY! I wasn't expecting you to play this! Thank you!
Cant tell if AI or IGN article
Bro this was so good, you need to do more of these games. I just got baited into DS series yesterday and I found your video on my recommendation. Even when you're not playing the most optimum way since you had to follow the AI, just hearing what you're talking about along the way really helps me with the loadouts and such. Thank you.
Just for your info, luck increased your bleed procs. That’s what it meant by increased your crit
if he could get the ai to reccomend a blood infused bandit's knife somehow he could end up with a decent build, but none of the weapons he's used so far have bleed build up lol
Luck only increases the bleed buildup, not the damage of the actual bleed proc
This comment feels AI generated
@@emerrinsytchannel1214 yeah lmao
The 4 rings the AI recommended you use are exactly the 4 rings I'm currently using on my first DS3 playthrough
Love it. More of this. More of YOU! MORE GUNGNIR! ALL HAIL THE CONTENT KING!!
Quick heads up for those who don’t know, the stray demon that can throw you, if you spam LT and RT, or the equivalent on other platforms, you can break out of the grab.
hell yea top tier video. Hoping for more Dark Souls content in the future
with the stray demon grab attack you can spam your heavy and light attack buttons to escape its grasp and it will just drop you. that strat works for most grab attacks as well
nice to see other games and you branching out!
I wouldnt mind seeing you branch out a little bit! My need for terraria is very saturated so i havent really been watching any of your videos recently :(
I think those " AI Says...." type of videos go with pretty much any game and are enjoyable/interesting enough, maybe you could make a series with that?
Or maybe do your typical masochist-challenge style videos, but different games?
The “slam” attack that Wolnir does, from what I recall, is what causes the skeletons to appear. They climb out of the ground in his arena.
love the souls vid, i was dying during the backstabs on Abyss watchers 😂 also enjoyed the terraria font for a quick text edit
I just realized this is one of my favorite Terraria UA-camrs lmao. I didn't even see who it was until the end of the video lmao. Loved this video man, I'd love to see more Souls games
This is a great run idea, looking forward to seeing more
That extra crit chance was going to work on the abyss watchers I don't think you would have won without the luck
I would absolutely love to see more Dark Souls content!
Gotta say, you were unexpectantly amazing at this game. Love your Terraria stuff but I definitely wouldn't complain about Souls uploads!
I honestly just thought this was from one of the Dark souls UA-camrs I watch, I didn't realize it was you. This video is great 👍
I’d love to see a continuation on this play through.
“Dancer is similar in difficulty to the Undead Settlement!”
The AI is blatantly trying to murder you
I really like this foray into dark souls content.
This is a great idea for a series and would love to see more!
Such a rad video. And hold up, you aren't a souls UA-camr? I could have been fooled. Hope the great content continues.
Gungir, I for one would love more Dark Souls content
I LOVE the fact the ChatGPT recommended you get the Runescape Ring of Wealth
Holy shit the guy who made his channel playing my old favorite game is now playing my new favorite game? Dream come true
I remember back then when luck bleed build were completely op in pvp, with hollow infused onikiri and ubadachi + carthus rouge you could almost proc the bleeding in a couple of hits
It would wreck most bosses that weren't immune to bleed as well
Fuck yes man I love the souls games, combined with your challenge runs is perfect, definitely do more
“Curse Rotten Greatsword, a weapon obtained after killing prince lothric, has the weapon art ‘wrath of the gods’ which deals lightning damage and stuns weaker enemies” 💀💀💀
I did this but at the start gave it a description and rundown of all the stats so it could make optimal builds or more accurate builds to cosplay characters
3:11 use the Ring of wealth to teleport you to the Grand exchange
I’d love to see you branch out doing more content! Especially since I love seeing dark souls challenges
literally the first time ive seen this channel and of course its the "this isnt the type of content i usually do" kinda video lol
5:42 darksouls 3 when my parents walk in
A video of one of my favorite games by one of my favorite UA-camrs? I see this as an absolute win
So excited that your posting dark souls!!! I saw your all achievements stream, and it’s so funny that your doing dark souls now, since I just got into the souls series a month or two ago. You are my new favorite UA-camr😅
I did not expect this random terraria channel i was subbed to played my favorite game series of all time a very welcome suprise
You can actually mash out of the stray demons grab in this game. It’s weird cause I think it’s one of the only things that works like this in DS3
You’ll take less damage at the end of all grab animations if you button mash, and sometimes, you’ll physically slip out of certain enemies’ grabs earlier I think, but I don’t really remember either LOL.
Best youtuber playing my favourite line of games (darksouls and terraria). Absolutely amazing
